Just as many 1-star posts mentioned, this place operates by quoting a low price for out-of-province inspection $138, around 20% lower than the market price, and way overcharges on everything else, knowing the customers are trapped and usually need to get the inspection done before the deadline. I deeply regret trusting this business and not checking all the reviews beforehand.

I sent my winter tires to replace damaged summer tires to pass inspection, and they charged me $184 to install the tires when it costs on average 80 - 90 bucks everywhere else. The worst part is when I called out their rip-off price and asked for a discount, and they had the audacity to say no, because they "spent too much time on my inspection. " They basically admitted to over-charging right on the spot. I had to agree to the price because they knew I had an urgent need to get the inspection done due to expiring plate registration. Extremely unfair business practice, and I will file a complaint about this business.

Terrible service. They don’t reply to emails and don’t provide proper service. Stay away.

Edit to response:

Two emails went unresponded to by Ryanco prior to this which listed the payment arrangement. I never heard from Ryanco and this morning was woken up to the bailiff at 5AM on a Saturday of all things, and Ryanco is closed on the weekend which is costing me more as I can’t contact anyone there until Monday.

Came in for a brake fluid flush. 3 hour wait. They told me that both left and right caliper pins were seized and recommended to do work on the calipers before doing brake fluid. Declined because didn't believe them. Took it back to my original mechanic and turns out brake and calipers were totally fine. You need to lift the caliper to see the slider pins and they do move freely. Not sure if inexperienced mechanic or what, but saying a car having an issue when it does not is sleezy. I would ask them to show you any mechanical issues before agreeing to do any work on your car/truck. Front staff were nice though.

Edit: wanted brake fluid flush because brake fluid does corrode over time and it can affect brake responsiveness. So I told them it felt spongy. They made me wait 3 hours to tell me that they don't recommend brake fluid flush and want to do caliper work saying pins are seized. They didn't even take the brakes off the caliper to see the pins are fine. Saying maybe not enough grease or dirt on the pins. The pins ended up being completely fine. Why make me wait 3 hours to tell me they don't recommend brake fluid flush? Just test the acidity of the fluid and let me know I don't need it?

I want to say hats off to the owner for hiring such amazing employees. I went for an Out of Province inspection last minute today, never been here before to say. If you're looking for a local auto shop who has heart, honest & does amazing work plus reasonably priced services I recommend Ryanco. Thanks so much MJ for your up & beyond service, I knew I was in good hands from the moment I walked in. I know where I will be taking my Escape from now on for all. Cheers, Angie
