Sabor Restaurant

Our party of 8 was looked after really well. The seafood platters and the lobster risotto was great. We were all extremely pleased.

Parking is atrocious. Private lots charge 37.50 for flat evening rate. No street parking available. No encouragement to go downtown Edmonton at all. Will be my last time

Great food, great service, clean, interior decor exceptional. Atmosphere perfect. Great for office parties, couples, birthdays the lot!

A must go for your special occasions.

One of the top 10 meals of my life. I have dined around the world and the last place I would ever expect to get a Chilean Sea Bass, with Lobster Rosoto, is Edmonton, AB. Seriously, beats Michelin Star dishes I have had!

Probably the best meal I've ever had in Edmonton. The service was IMPECCABLE, attentive, and low pressure; Michelle is a gem. Overall casual setting, and the menu is divine and has something for everyone. The grilled octopus was tender and flavourful. Three Boars was beautifully presented, and the flavours and texture of the boar cuts, mushroom risotto, and arugula were so well balanced. We ordered a fleet of desserts, and the leite creme was a table favourite. Highly recommend!

Great quality food. Seabass and steak were out of this world. Wine was good too and reasonable prices.

My 2nd time giving all 5 stars, but this place truly deserves it. The service was amazing, the restaurant is beautiful and the food.soooo good! I will definitely come back, I highly recommend it. I found it on TripAdvisor as it ranked #1 restaurant in Edmonton, they weren't kidding.

The restaurant is beautiful, the wait staff is attentive, there's multiple dining options (tapas, on a limited menu) and sabor with a full menu. To start the bread and cheeses are amazing. The braised boar cheek 10/10 couldn't have done it better.

But when it came up to catch of the day, it seemed rather uninspired no sauce, my wifes salmon was undercooked.i also wasn't a huge fan of the lobster risotto it just tastes of tomato sauce. The lobster was also overcooked. It was kind of gross, to be honest. It looked rather unappetizing on the plate as well. The catch of the day was salmon and halibut together.

It made me really wish i had whoever was in charge of red meats cooking my mains that night, haha.

Pros: very good taste, dark and moody environment, polite but not clingy server, good quantity

Cons: parking, risotto slightly uncooked and hard, expensive

The experience was great. Loved the different courses and surprises recommended by the waiter. The mussels and clams blew my mind. A must recommend, I drank every last drop of the sauce.

Have been to this establishment 5 times so far for special occasions along with people visiting from outside of the province and all I can say is WOW. The staff as a whole is nothing short of exceptional. They go the extra mile to make sure your dining experience is fantastic. The food is top notch I would put it up there in my top 3 easily. Price is a little high but fair and the portions are more than expected. Everything from walk in-order-food is provided in a timely manner. We love this place and have yet to have a bad experience. We have brought our daughter in who is nearly 2 and they have been amazing with her as well. We'll done Sabor I'm not easily impressed and yet your staff and service has proved me wrong everytime we have dined in. Would highly recommend

We had a wonderful experience at Sabor. This place has been on our list to visit for years and we are so glad we finally went! The service was great and the food was amazing. We ordered the seafood cakes, five tomato salad, seafood paella, and the three boars. All our food was incredible, we will definitely be back.

Very nice restaurant for a special occasion, after coming back from Europe this really have me a throw back to the great food we had on our trip. Would definitely recommend for a fancy place to go. A bit pricey but great atmosphere.

The service was the clincher for me. Our server was so patient with our table, bless his heart.

The food was also very good - the lobster risotto was so good but sooooo rich.it's entirely my fault for eating as much as I did from the family style tray of it haha. The fish and shellfish was unbelievably fresh. The bit of my sister's octopus I had was so good, all charred with the acidity balanced just right and the perfect bite - I'll seriously never get octopus anywhere else (because it's too sad to think about when it doesn't taste good)

Also, always get the bacon wrapped dates, or you're not living life to, what I consider to be, the fullest

Five stars all the way around. The food was fantastic, the service outstanding, and the wine list was top notch to match wine lists and food in NYC.

Casual elegance in its decor, the excellent food and service combine for a very pleasant dining experience at Sabor.

The sever was very attentive and friendly. We never waited or wanted for anything. We felt very welcomed and pampered.

We both grew up beside the ocean so we know seafood. The two of us shared the seafood platter as an introduction to their menu. The lobster was tender and juicy. The mussels and clams were fresh and made with a tasty sauce that did not overpower. The other choices on the platter were all as yummy as the seafood risotto:)

We had desserts as well. The cheese cake and tiramisu were better than almost any we can recall.just delicious! Coffees were perfect.

Worth the price!

The seafood here is amazing! Everything we ordered was fantastic. Although they specialize in Portuguese cuisine, the Spanish fare here was amazing. They even have jamon Iberico bellota and Galician octopus!

The service left nothing to be desired. Our server was very prompt and she was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. A real pleasure to have her as our server.

Oh my, haven't been this satisfied with a meal in a long time. Especially loved the octopus and clams. Will definitely go back or try one of their sister Bodegas!

Came in for our anniversary, we were put on an unstable table (kept tilting) we asked to be moved and we were.
Waitress took our order (but not the drink order, had to almost call her back as she was in a hurry to leave). Appetizers arrived and it was good, we had the spinach salad, house fries and assorted bread, recommend all of those as they were good.

For entrees, my husband ordered the seafood paella and I had the mushroom risotto. The seafood paella was fine at best, and the risotto was good, the food was very hot which was great.

Our waitress did not check in at anytime, we had to call her for a drink refill.

The food was fine and the atmosphere was nice but we didn’t like the service. Not sure yet if we will go back.

The vegetarian (also vegan) paella was excellent - the grilled baby artichokes were delicious and the rice had the perfect crispy edge.
The olive tapenade was also very good as a starter, and the halibut and prawns dish was fresh and well-seasoned.
The gf and vegan chocolate cake had a bit of a dense chocolate ganache, but the vegan cashew ice cream and blackberry coulis made the dish better.
Service was kind and accommodating, and they even put out a birthday card for our guest who was there to celebrate.

This seafood restaurant was a gem, I booked it based on high ratings and was not disappointed! The food was pricey but delicious.

We arrived on time and dressed nice casual. We were greeted with lovely smiles by the front desk staff. We inquired about the safety of our car and we were kindly reassured that while we had to pay for street parking, the block was very safe. We were seated in a corner table and I was treated to the most lovely anniversary card (our 26). We both love seafood and we were perusing the menu on our way there. It was a wise idea because the menu reads like a fish and seafood lover Christmas. Each recipe deserved careful consideration. We settled on the seafood platter for two. The waiter was a lovely and thoughtful man, who kept us in his eye at all times- and with service like that you would think it was already a rather nice experience… then the food arrived. Mussels and clams, tasting super fresh and superbly seasoned in a wonderful sauce. We were served fresh baked bread alongside and it was just perfect.
Then the platter arrived and we invested our time in seeing the huge and charbroiled prawns and scallops. The octopus was delectable, and there were two lobster tails (served tender, fresh and not overcooked was incredible) and I lost track of time as we savoured each morsel in slow motion with matching grins on our faces. The seafood risotto was beyond compare. Our waiter was so kind and thoughtful! He was the best part of our meal. And our meal as incredible as it was, was only made better by the great quality staff. I recommend their house cheesecake with passion fruit compote. It was incredibly light and tasty. The compote was freshly made from the actual pulp of the fruit. I was taken back to my childhood in the Caribbean and our huge passion fruit tree on our backyard. Our waiter was sweet enough to bring me a bit more of it to take home! I was so touched by his kindness.
On our way out a gentleman with the restaurant inquired after our experience. It was beyond words. We will be back.

Amazing food, we tried the seafood platter and it had to be the best that I have ever had. The service was also amazing, our server Cory was great. He was funny and overall just made the time we spent there better!
