Safety Bath Walk-in Tubs

We like our Walk in Tub, several friends have visited and seem to think that it cold be a safety solution for them too. It took a long time to get the product but when it was finally installed, it was worth the wait.

The installers and the final repair person were very professional and particular in their work. We highly recommend them

I broke my hip last fall and had four surgeries. I can barely stand by myself and the safety bath is absolutely wonderful. I can do it myself now.

I have a birth condition called AMC which restricts my movement in all four limbs (I am not in a wheelchair but not sure what the future holds). When I was younger I could manage getting in/out of a regular bathtub (even sitting inside) but over time it got harder and I changed my tub for a walk-in shower which was fine but now I'm in my late 50s and I have arthritis so when I got a new home built, I decided to have a built-in curbless shower AND a walk-in tub. I had researched many different manufacturers over a period of time and I went with the OASIS by Safetybath. I mainly use it as a "hot tub" with the jets and bubbles. The door opens outwards making it easy to get in and out and I like how the backside and seat are angled.
INSTALLATION and USE: Because the tub was installed as the house was being built, the plumbing was done as per Safety Bath specifications which is very important. I have an 80,000btu hot water on demand. The time to fill takes from 8 minutes (Summer) to 14 minutes (Winter in Northern Ontario, Canada). It depends on how cold the source of water is. The tub always empties in 1.5 minutes which is amazing and you don't really get cold. The inline heater keeps the water warm and I find myself staying in the tub for over an hour changing from jets to bubbles to just plain quiet soaking which helps with my disability!
I have been in my new home for just over a year now and have no issues. I would certainly recommend a Safety Bath as they seem to be built strong.

I am an 83 year old, married male with a number of age related health problems that are assisted by the “Safety walk-in tub”.

I was attracted to this product by fact it was advertised as affordable and compared to other companies this tub was affordable and provided a quality product with features I believe to be superior to the competitors tub.

First, the tub is very attractive. It looks great and has ergonomic features that enhances the experience of bathing.

A Safety tub covers all your hygienic needs and adds the benefit of safety when bathing or enjoying a hydrotherapy session or dimming the lights, turning down the music and totally relaxing submerged in bubbly bliss.

The process of purchase is simple. On request a representative came to our condo and thoroughly explained the safety tub variations best suited for our needs. He did the measurements and the precise cost of an installation. There was no pressure.

He gave us time to talk it over and when we decided to go ahead with the project a date was set.

Our installation was a day and a half process.
The installers we clean, polite and knowledgeable. Floors were covered and the bathroom sealed off to minimize dust. Noise was kept to a minimum and all the special carpentry was done in a mobile shop outside of the condo.

We are ecstatic with the tub but wish we could have been included in some of the installation decisions. The specialty made surround the tub is counter sunk to the tub and collects a lot of water if the shower is used. The electric switch could have been incorporated with the existing switch. When considering total cost be sure to check your hot water tank capacity. Our tank did not fill the tub with hot water.

Saying that, I love my safety tub and look foreword to the tax benefits that are allowable Provincially and federally. I should have done it sooner and highly recommended anyone to consider an installation like this that will add value to their property.

Excellent product and I feel so much safer getting into and out of our shower. Our "hobbit door" works very well in our existing tub, even through our tub is a little deeper than a standard one. Centennial Plumbing handled measuring, ordering and installation so that made it easy too.

Excellent tub. The door is particularly helpful for elderly friends who need a walk in shower. I like the option to have a nice long, deep soak. I think this tub makes so much more sense than the other taller options.

I am very pleased with my So-Lo Safety Bath Walk-in Tub. I have difficulty lifting my legs over a standard tub and I also have poor balance. This So-Lo tub allows me to get in and out easily. I do not bathe too often as I have problems lifting my body up once I am lying in the water. But when I do it is nice to have the long tub. I had a budget to work with and this tub was the most reasonably priced and fulfilled my needs. I like the seat for days I am outside working in the garden and need to just wash my feet and legs. I can sit on the seat and use the hand-held sprayer for this instead of having to shower or take a bath when not really needed.

I am mobility challenged and getting in and out of my tub was very hard for me. Standing wasn't an option so showers were not the answer. I bought a bath lift and it was great for a while but it did not get me into the water deep enough to help my arthritic bones. I decided to go all the way with the walk-in tub and I have not been happier with my choice. I have spent money on other things but this is by far the best money I have spent. I would recommend to anyone who needs to soak the hot water and have the benefit of jets soothing their muscles the walk-in tub is definitely the way to go. Now instead of taking a bath twice a week, I take one every other day and sometimes every day. Best money I have ever spent. I feel safe and secure and there are grab handles to help me step into the tub safely. Thanks, Safety Bath you have made my life more comfortable and safe and taken away lots o f my pain.
