Safeway Beddington Square

Safeway is expensive in general. But this particular store in my opinion is the best. I would like to thank them for their service and will see them again in the future.

I sure will miss this place because it's without a doubt the best Safeway in the entirety of Calgary. Okay, well not the best but actually the closest to where we live, it's still awesome though but getting too pricey. In a bit, Safeway.

I just love Beddington location and have too many memories here for years and staff are so professional and nice.

AVOID! I switched to Safeway from COOP during COVID because I wasn’t lining up outside like cattle but I’ve had enough.
I was runner up in the 1991 Wraparama when I worked at a grocery store so I’m qualified to say that the packing skills are super poor here. Yes, imagine egg cartons on their end; cans on top of frozen veggies/dinners, & bread stuffed wherever there’s room.
Last time, I had the same ignorant lady from other reviews insist on me unloading boxed cans of pop first then returning them to the cart. She then proceeded to mix up my order with my handicapped sister’s. I was distracted having to decipher her schizophrenic packing style when I asked her to halt she yelled at me: I can’t read your mind.
I said, you wouldn’t have to if you had dividers plus the 12” of separation could’ve been a clue.
Of course, the canned pop I was forced to put under the cart hopped out in the parking lot.
Horrible day

Just did some groceries. $9.85 was the total. Then she asked me if i wanted a bag. I said sure. Price goes up to $10.15. I handed her a $10 bill. And she asks for 15 cents more. I check my pockets. No loose change. There is not a line up behind me. I tell her ill get 15 cents from my car and she gives me a deer in the headlights look. With an onimous smile. And shakes her head and says no. Then i say "ill leave the groceries here with you ill be back in 20 seconds". And she almosts starts frothing at the mouth. And says no. So i pulled out a 5 dollar bill i would rather have had not to break. Are these check out stand clerks like robots or actual human beings? Like what in the heck? Such terrible customer service. This is a safeway i go to once or twice a day. She recognizes me as a regular too. So if one plus one does not equal exactly 2 their heads start to explode? No reading between the lines here i guess. Wow what a sad world. Maybe Safeway should give everyone 15 cent raises and re-train staff to not be imbeciles. Yikes.

I haven’t even left the parking lot yet because I had to leave this review! The lovely lady at the floral float is absolutely amazing! I didn’t catch her name but she arranged my florals for me with such care I will never buy my flowers from anyone else. She did a beautiful job and made my day. I was just shopping for some flowers to make me smile for the weekend as my partner is going out of town. What a great employee and florist

The pharmacy has really adapted to the increased foot traffic! Great group there that always makes u feel welcome

Large store with lots to offer whatever you are looking for they probably have it. Entire store was spotless. Staff attentive and ready to help when you need it. The store also has entrance access from the mall. The cashier was very helpful and put my order through very fast. I got home and the bread wasn't even squashed!

I live the peanut butter here. And the green olives. The produce is always fresh and the meat is great pice and quality but the peanut butter. Mmmmmmm mm damn that jif is good

I was so sick yesterday with the stomach flu and couldn’t keep down water or gravol. I almost was going to go to the hospital. I called the pharmacy to see if they had anything. The sweetest pharmacist was able to get me a dissolvable prescription for strong anti nausea medications. She was so sweet are caring on the phone and saved me from needing an iv.

I have always love this location there a great place we get our media here now and it's better then superstore the reason is I never got my meds in 3 4 weeks very bad safe way help me save me and made sure I am ok they also call you to check in on you I have never had a place do that
