Safeway Bonavista Shopping Plaza

Used to come here all the time for quick snacks and treats, only until I found flys in the donut case! Very gross

David has such a great voice and brightens my day. David is always so helpful and will go to great lengths to please exery customer. Give that man a raise!

It is so convenient having our local Safeway. The staff is always friendly and it is great to see some of the kids my boys go to school with working there!

This store is smaller than most of the newer grocery stores that have popped up in the last 10 years. It is still run with the same standards and ideals of smaller grocers. Stockpeople will ask how you are or if you need assistance. Cashiers will almost always ask if you need help getting your stuff to your car. My family typically does regular grocery runs to the nearest Superstore. Nevertheless we seem to end up at Safeway every few weeks for impulse meal ideas or to fill in the gaps from our grocery lists. My wife ADORES the butter-topped tray buns. I prefer the glazed croissants.

Closest and best place to grocery shop in the area. Wish it was a bit bigger, but still a nice local place to get stuff.

Always friendly staff, I love that they have brought in more lactose free products over the years too

Having recently move to Lake Bonavista from Okotoks (1st March) we love how close this mall is and all the shops in it.

I went to the DVD Video game exchange store and they were awesome. Covid measures taken. Great prices and knowledgeable people.

Part of the parking lot is blocked for dinner party with a big group of people without mask and no social distancing.

I have been in there previously and it's a fine store. But, it is a smaller location than Safeway at South Centre. There is no pharmacy in the store or washrooms for customers. There are washrooms in the mall. There will be less selection than larger Safeways, but you will find the main basic items all Safeways have.

This store is great for us, close by to where we live. Not too big, not too small, just right. Has everything we need. Shop there regularly.

Arguably these are the best doughnuts I've ever had. Elegance in simplicity, some grade A+ baking.

Was at Safeway last night. They had they had their sensory night and it was awesome. I wish I could shop like that all the time! Way to go for even acknowledging this.

Smaller Safeway with overpriced products. At least it's clos by with ample parking. Decent bakery and deli.

This location is ok to pick up things like milk, eggs or bread. The produce is really bad. Other is is moldy or they look really sad. Some of the staff are rude or ignore us when we ask them a question.

Staff are great but it's a small location so not the ideal spot for huge selection but they're better priced than Coop. Also, they frequently sell used books for 2 bucks (or by donation) - all proceeds to charity. Books are donated by customers and I often find (and donate) great reads!

Safeway's deli is da bomb! All their deli items - chicken wings, onion rings, potato wedges, samosas, salads etc - are all delicious here.

If they didn't have cowboy themed decorations, it would be 5 stars.such a lovely place otherwise.

Common and popular products are being removed and/or replaced with their terrible in-house "Our Compliments" brand. Can't compete on quality, so they force their garbage on shoppers instead. Sobeys buying out Safeway was the worst thing to happen to that store.or anyone else who's fallen victim to their predation. Shop elsewhere if you have the choice.even better, support a Canadian/local company like Coop or Superstore.

I like this shopping centre. It is quiet, even when busy it doesn't make me feel anxious. The Safeway there is well laid outland easy to find what I am looking for. Thumbs up.

Ordered the Pesto Potatoes twice. The first time the potatoes tasted baked. They were good. The second time, the potatoes were completely uncooked. It was disgusting. It had the same texture as an apple.
