Nothing bad to say. The staff is kind and friendly and they seem to be well stocked most of the time

Place is empty otherwise you will find all you need price isn't expensive but not dramatic over priced only my humble opinion

Too expensive for most things but sale prices are sometimes reasonable.and it’s a lot closer than Costco.

This is NOT a decent place to access Western Union transfer because their service is often down and the terminal has long wait times

It is a very lovely store and most of the staff there are awesome! The meat counter is another story. The last 3 times I have gone there to grab kabobs, (they are out if this world!) The butcher refuses to serve me and tells me to go look at the shelves instead. I do understand that it is much easier on them if it is already pre packaged, but the marinated ones that I would like to buy are rarely pre packaged. He still won't get me any from the case. Today was pretty bad as I did look through all of the ones on the shelf before asking for some, and again refused to let me have any. He told me he had just restocked everything on the shelves, and I said I wanted marinated ones, he told me they were there as well. I went and looked through 50 packages, and no marinated ones other than beef, i wanted chicken and pork as well. My daughter who was with me finally went up and asked, he served her no problem. Maybe he just doesn't like how I look?

I live fairly close to this Safeway, and the place is relatively clean. And staff is often helpful

It's a grocery store. They have food and assorted sundries. Shocking, I know. The Starbucks staff are great and it's a convenient location (for me).

Don’t eat the food out in the self serve hot trays…rancid oil…others touching the food with hands…way over priced as self serve food. If you need a good colon cleanse than this is the spot for you.
It’s not checked properly and gross.
How’s a glass screen preventing anything except providing a false sense of security.

One star because they don't carry Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and Garden Vegetable cream cheese for some reason

I was most disappointed to see that masks are not being worn consistently in this store. I will switch to another grocery chain that believes in keeping their customers safe.
Visit yesterday has changed - everyone seemed to be wearing masks.
Half are masked today but staff I dealt with were all masked.
Now today only the meat department staff are masked.
Some staff are masked.

I used to work for Safeway. Security accused me of stealing and found nothing.ignorant and called me a liar after not finding anything because I did nothing he was a persistent fool treat me in a way that I do not deserve and I shall do the same to you

Always targeted by security guard everytime I come in. Followed around and watched at self checkout. I'm about to stop coming here.

Got a few plants and some dirt. Outdoor garden area was a bit sparse but had good looking plants.

Safeway, a community grocery staple of Bonnie Doon Mall, is always there for you when in need of a few groceries.

I have been coming to this Safeway for almost 20 years now. Over the past 6 to 8 months they have dramatically raised all of their prices on everything. Walmart prices have not changed that much at all. Everything in Safeway is anywhere from 50-125% higher than Walmart prices. For example: 2 chicken breasts is $15 at Safeway and 3 chicken breasts is $10 at Walmart. Here is another example: VH Sauce is only $2.50 at Walmart, yet it is nearly $5 at Safeway. It is a complete ripoff to shop here now, no matter what you are buying. Also, the new scene program is a joke. You need to spend roughly $2000 here just to save a measly $10.

Staff are not doing at they are trained as a former employee I wish more staff were helpful.the deli experiance I had was the worst.
