You guys are selling 2021 old spice pit stick, I filed a complaint directly to old spice and now they’re gonna contact you guys, they checked my barcode and it was done in 2021, what a joke

Yesterday we went to order for birthday's cake we were ready to order any we haven't told lady whichever cake we are ordering when I ask about icing she give me order form said I should fill out left us than she starting taking order from other person we haven't waited 20 minutes than she said where is order form I said that if I have to do all of it than I should be working here she claims that person she was helping was before us which is not true than she said that clients are waiting I have wasted best 1 hour in this store with rude women the person does not know ABC of customer service this was my last time that I visited never going back I hope sobey should train people propley before asking them to help customer I should have given 0 star very service

Bakery at Safeway Castleridge: we ordered cake today (Oct 1) for our 5 yrs old daughter, which we need after 3 weeks. After a few minutes, our daughter changed her mind as she saw Princess Elsa cake. Hence, we returned within 5 minutes to change the order, but that lady, without checking anything (previously she confirmed with someone before taking our order) said it's out of stock. We requested her that we need it after 3 weeks, and it might be available but bluntly refused and stated I am already getting late (at 7.57 pm), I need to close bakery. We reassured her that all other filling and icing would be same, please only change the cake pattern. I'm not sure about the exact reason for refusing. Is it really out of stock, or was she getting late or lazy to fill up the request form?

Today I visited safeway first time. I’m new here in Calgary. I was so confused to find specific thing one of girl cashier manpreet helped me. She was very helpful. Appreciated

I had a problem with Voila pickup pricing. I called Voila and was told there are no refunds and that Voila and Safeway pricing are different.

I was able to speak to a manager on duty named Travis and explained to him the situation and he was able to quickly resolve it. His customer service was above and beyond! Thanks.

Kinda small in regards to other stores and the selection isn't as good for salads and such treats as well

Purchased a deli sandwich today and it was gross. Lettuce and tomatoes were mush making the bread soggy. Threw it in the trash. Wasted money. Learn how to place vegetables so that sandwiches don't go soggy. Never place lettuce or tomatoes right against bread. Use a piece of cheese as a barrier.

Have been shopping here for years. The deli staff are always super friendly and attentive. The produce is always fresh and I generally find most of the ingredients I need for my cumin adventures. They have a self checkout for those more introverted people like myself but they always have at least two cash registers open for people that like the interaction.

Last week I ordered a big, half slab cake from this bakery for my sister's birthday party. First the lady couldn't understand for long time what I was telling her, it was hard to understand for her about me telling her about flavors and sizes. Their staff is so unprofessional and untrained. When we went to eat it, the icing was oily and the cake was dry. I came back the next day and I talked to the store manger and she seems like she did not even care, she offered me a free cake and I stated to her why would I want free cake when the birthday party is over. I'd never ever go there again.

Not the nicest Safeway I been in. Employees are generally nice. Not the greatest store to recover theft. I had bought a couple small items before, and come home to find it was tampered with and half package was in it.

Pathetic customer service! Instead of helping me this over weight lady was busy checking her FB/Insta on her cellphone while I struggled to scan a very heavy item at the self scan & pay counter July 29 2022 around 8: 30 PM

It's a good shopping place like all stores prices are alittle high but have some great deals on and off

Went there 7 mins before close. They were closed already.waste of my time if they close before the time stated. Be going to no frills next time.

I ordered fruits basket three day a head but when I went for pick up first they said no order was placed. But when I told their employee name who took my order then they found my order slip. Employee said come back in half hour.i requested please deliver to my job location but refused. I arranged other driver and payed him for delivery. But worse things is that when I received my delivery I saw small basket but I paid for medium. I called and they told me that we didn’t have medium and hang up my called. Please don’t go for business at this location again for waste your money. They even doesn’t knew what professional customer service is?

The stock is absolutely amazing at Safeway and this store is no different. I looked literally everywhere for sweet mango chutney and they had the exact kind I was looking for!
The employees are really sweet too, but I've never had a bad encounter with a Safeway employee. They're always super delightful and make conversation!

I find the atmosphere at this Safeway is less than friendly. When the Saddleridge store was around, everyone greeted you. And now Sobeys has closed the Whitehorn location, Castleridge will be the only Safeway around here. Some of the store seems vacant as there are empty spaces. Since prices are going up, Safeway will not be my one stop store anymore and you don't get many Airmiles anymore either.

Nice selection, good deals, very clean. Wasn't impressed to see a manager sitting on food in the produce section.

This is my favorite Safeway I can go in the foyer pick my bike up inside and it's close to home and clean got good staff

Just did a big renovation so it's much nicer and more modern. Prices are high compared to other grocery stores in the area. If your on a budget this is not the place to go. They do have alot of specialty items though if you need something other grocery stores don't stock.

Just came from this grocery today. Newly designed set up of the produce section. Neatly arranged and clean.however customer service of one cashier ruined the nice ambience of the store. Her name is Bushra.very arrogant and very rude CASHIER woman. No respect on customers. She pushed the goods conveyor belt continuously while my husband was putting stuff in our bags.items started falling off from the belt. She didn't apologize and continued doing her stuff until we told her about what's going on. She grabbed the 4 packs of bread and paged her co worker to replace these. Again no "sorry" and didn't address the situation in an appropriate manner. Very arrogant.she doesn't like her job. She needs to be at the back door doing other duties and not be at the front line.

Nice clean store I just wish sobeys didn't make the stupid decision to close down the saddle town circle Safeway that is simply an extremely stupid move by sobeys!

I tried using the self check out today and was surprised by how rude and aggressive the attendant Heather was. She spoke in a very condescending tone towards anyone who asked any questions on how to use the machines

This Safeway is close to home so I use it fairly often despite the prices being a bit higher than other stores. I usually find that the staff are quite helpful and considerate. Today however, I forgot to pay at the self checkout, and when the Cashier at the self-checkout caught up to me and told me, I fully admitted I had forgotten and was absolutely ready to go back and pay, but could I drop the heavy bags of groceries in the car I was standing beside and then come in? No. I was made to carry my groceries back across the parking lot, through the store to the self-check out, and then, once I had paid, all the way back to my car for the second time. Do you do this to all your customers, regardless of age or health? I sure hope not. But then, if you don't do that for everyone, what was it about me that made you decide I was so untrustworthy?

This is my regular store I visit and today I had a fantastic experience with the cashier guy. Unfortunately he wasn't wearing a name tag. He was working on till #7 at 2pm Friday May 7th. He was wearing a blue shirt! Super super friendly, pleasant, chatty and helpful! A few others here could learn a few things from him! Kudos to you buddy! I hope this message gets to him! From the lady he spoke to that said she used to work for M30 Doing grocery resets in Sobeys!

Ordered through viola. I am usually okay with what I found at this Safeway. It’s adequate with great service. They have good produce, so I ordered curb side pickup. Fruits came mushy, with fungus on them. It was such a disappointment.

The pros: paper bags.

Worst customer service. Stand and stare at customers with long lines and 3 tills open.
Claimed a till is open, so we leave the line to go, and NO till not open. I was very displeased to return to the bloody back of the line. Then staff is no where to be found when it was finally my turn at the self checkout and the eggs would not scan.
No I remember why I almost never go to this location!

Terrible experience when up to the bakery to buy a birthday cake all the employees ran to the back and i could hear giggiling and music but i asked almost was yelling hello no one around the i seen a employee and asked dose anyone work here she told me customer service will help me worst place i have ever walked in i’m surprised theses people still have jobs because they don’t do them if i could put 0 stars i would

Changed. Front line staff amazing. Management where they? I you find a manager they condo-sending. Since the change store has gone down hill. Only store I seen in Calgary that has arrows and its not an AHS thing. Customers still do their own thing. Its a big joke

Founds some in store only great deals on steak. It's worth checking out meat department even if not looking for meat, you never know what great deal you will find.

New Safeway's are wayyy better than the old Safeways.

This location was remodeled to the cool new layout a couple years ago, and as it's in my work neighborhood, It's a frequent lunch stop. This one appears to be more spacious than other locations and the fruit/veg area is always extremely stocked, clean and well organized. My favorite part is the sandwich deli which at times is painfully slow (no Subway efficiently here), however the sandwiches and Panini's are very delicious. I highly recommend the Plymouth Rock with extra cranberry sauce (I'm addicted), the turkey and havarti Panini and some Tuscan bisque soup. The store is rarely busy so service is fast and the helpers in the aisles and always, well - helpful:)

One downside is that they previously had a Sbux inside for grabbing the after lunch coffee, which has since been removed (*sad face*).

Because of it's fairly price and very attractive of it's clean area plus nice employees also everything here is fresh also everything you looking is on proper stack and nice

Always loved the variety and quality of food here, the staff are friendly. The only reason I don't actively shop here is it can be pricy, but if you've the budget, go for it! The quality is there!

The store is great for stuff that you need but when I went to call customer service I needed help with something she was extremely rude didn't hear me out whatsoever and hung up in my face.

Staff do not seem to care. Store, shopping carts and baskets are never cleaned. Produce is ok. Would suggest another location.

Staff are only trained on their departments.frustrating when you need assistance.went through 4 staff before i could get my questions answered.otherwise. Very happy.

The WORST Safeway. I used to like it, but its really gone downhill. Staff are useless and rude, and the prices aren't very good. Superstore or Save On are way better options.

Great place. I found sourdough rye bread which I was looking for. There is also an inside Tim Hortons. Would've given 5 stars but when I was asking the cooking staff a question they couldn't understand wasted my time.

Never saw any guy in cakes section. Went to buy a birthday cake waited there for half haur to write name on it. Nobody showed up. Never recommend anyone to come here for buying cakes. Very disappointed.

Kind of pricey if you don't have Air Miles for the specific Air Miles sales. Has a Tim Hortons inside. Overall generic grocery store.

Only well organized and clean store. Prices are bit higher but so des the quality of product. Will give 5 stars if they have a bit more staff to help around. Overall a very environment and fresh produce.

Security on site (I'm sure to keep things "safe") but not the friendliest Safeway. I've been to many different Safeway locations and this one has a very different, uninviting atmosphere to it.
