Come on your prices are getting ridiculous! I ordered cupcakes from
the bakery. It wasn’t long ago they were $5.99 for 6 now you want $7.49 UGH!

I had asked two employees if the store currently had any Rit Dye because I saw it a few weeks back in the same safeway location, but I couldn’t find it on my own. The male employee told me they don’t carry Rit Dye. I explained that I saw it a few weeks back; and I explained this not even in a rude or confrontational way. He had a very rude and dismissive tone when he replied “nope” then he quickly walked away. I just hate that kind of attitude and clearly he thinks he knows everything…

Close to home, nothing special to report. Prefer going to Co op grocery to support local businesses.

4 pm on a Sunday, one register open, this is the self checkout line. I dread shopping at Safeway because of how poor the selection is and how high the prices are, but this is unacceptable.

A fairly standard Safeway. Typically has most staples one would need; however, the selection of Mexican and Asian items is disappointingly small, even compared to the Safeway in Marda Loop.

Not stocked well at all. I always head to the one in Signal Hill instead for fresh vegetables (or Signal Hill Superstore) for more selection because this one just seems to get sloppy seconds all the time.

Same as other safeways. Enough space between aisles. Pretty clean and decent. You get 15% off on first Tuesday of each month.

Was told by Arthur, that I could not buy brown sugar and white sugar, because sugar is considered an item you are only allowed 1 per customer during the pandemic. Even though they both have seperate uses, and I was told that I could leave if I didn't like it.

Safeway head office said that I should have been allowed to buy both when I spoke with them.

I'm going to change my review rating, I originally gave this Safeway a 4 star rating. The Truth is, this Safeway is small and has less items than a "normal" sized Safeway. The organic section is pretty well non existent. The meat section is clean yet minimal. I would say if you have other safeways in your area to choose them over this one

Holy s! With the attitude problems. I just asked for a bag, at the self checkouts, lady.you don't need to ration them.

Love this location. Staff is amazing! They are helpful, kind, and friendly. We come here a few times a week.
They all know my family well, and allways go out of there way to say a hi to my kids!
Once my son needed the washroom, I was unaware they started locking the washroom doors, and kept the key up front near the self check out. Already at the washrooms doors my son really needed to go, a lady working seen us and ran literally ran and got the keys for us! I really appreciated that.
Another time I was short a few dimes about to run to my vehicle the lady at the till said don't worry about it went into her own wallet and paid. So kind of her.
It's the small things that makes this my favorite location.
The shelves are allways stocked well, the vegetables and fruit are usually allways fresh, but like any grocery store allways best to check them.
The guys at the meat counter are great to. We often ask for a small portion of stew meat and they have no problems splitting the pack for us. As well they are very knowledgeable with there cuts of meat.
The deli and bakery ladies and gentlemen are great. Ordered a few birthday cakes and lots of sliced meat.
The lady at the deli allways gives the kids a small sample! She's so sweet.
The lady that decorated the cakes is awesome!
Everyone who works at this location is fabulous!

Well it's your average Safeway, it is a little to expensive for me. Everything I got was cheaper at walmart or no frills, which I was aware of going in. The only real benefit was that the cashier was quite nice and I enjoyed talking with her. It might be enough for me to come back but only if I have a couple of items on my list.

Nice store very helpful people I would say all the Safeway are newly renovated pretty nicely good job

Every time I've been here the produce has been poorly stocked and sometimes visibly expired/moldy/rotten. One or two times, I understand, maybe there was a supply issue. When it happens more than that, it's a safety issue for consumers.

I entered this place confused, alone, and scared. Then I left feeling empowered and encouraged.

Only Safeway Glamorgan could inspire this transformation. Inflation is a bish but the sales here are the cats meow.

I'm not happy with my visit self check-out's stopped having plastic bag's had to buy a reusable bag

Great staff.helped me look for stuff in the aisles. Also gave me all the applicable promos on my transaction. Jenn the Head cashier was awesome and was patient through my quirks during the transaction. Will definitely recommend.

Booked my flu shot here, got a next day appoimtment, pleasant enough experience, in and out in 20 minutes.

This pharmacy would rather that i came into there store and gave everyone covid than run my prescription to me in parking lot.

Out of a number of produce items, no shopping carts, and an abrasive cashier who sneered at me that I couldn't predict how many bags I needed. Go to one of the other grocery stores nearby

It's one of the quiter stores. I like that it's smaller, easier to get in and out. Quite frequently I find a deal on meat. Example, 3,5 dollars off the regular price, sure you have to use it right away or freeze it, but it's worth it. Friendly staff is a bonus.

I've been a Safeway customer for years and been pretty happy about it until lately. Since they bought Sobeys/since Sobeys bought them (not sure who bought whom) competitive pricing has evaporated. My only real complaint is the price gouging that EVERY grocery store has been doing since the onset of COVID. There are no more REAL sales any longer like there were pre-COVID. An example of this at Glamorgan Safeway is in produce: they used to sell cherry tomatoes in 300g containers for $3.99 and 600g containers for 5.99. They've stopped selling the large containers and ~magically~ the 300g containers are now $5.99. I asked a produce guy why this was so and he told me that nobody bought the 600g containers so they stopped carrying them. That part made sense but when asked why the small container price had nearly doubled, he just shrugged his shoulders and gave no answer. I've stopped shopping here except in my time of most dire need as they're the closest store to my home in Glendale.

This was the first grocery store I visited when I moved to the city and have been going there for 5 years! They have some very competitive prices for not being one of the bigger chains and best day to go is on the 1st Tuesday of the month. ;)

The manager or customer service person walked to the place where the 'Mother's Day" chocolates were. Safeway stands out as consistently treating customers so well.

Francke the Assistant Manager does not deserve to work here. How can Safeway keep someone so unprofessional at this location? Not only does he disregard personal hygiene with his greasy hair, but it's also impossible to understand him. A noodle box was opened before I bought it and when brought to his attention, he put it on the shelve again to resell.awesome training Safeway!

The staff are not friendly here at all! The manager that works there is not friendly and I see how they treat their staff it’s awful. I would never shop their. A lot of better Safeway’s in the city! This location is the worst.

Found the staff unfriendly, avoiding people instead of helping. Produce department selection was poor as well as not very clean. Slim chance I will go back there.

This is so great to go and get my food and my medicine at the pharmacy. The staff there is so nice helps me with everything that I need they are great to talk to

I was trying to save on plastic by bringing my own bag.the cashier proceeded to put my groceries in a plastic bag without asking then when I stated I didn't need a bag she threw in the garbage the bag she tried to give me. That is in no way saving on plastic I will never go to this location again.

The staff are friendly. The pharmacists are very helpful. They get to know you. I know I can ask the pharmacy staff about my prescriptions and their knowledge is excellent. If they don't know the answer they will find it.

Our go-to grocery store. Their sales are frequent, their self checkouts work, and they have both a pharmacy and a Starbucks inside. Plus a bakery and a flower shop.

It’s not nearly as depressing in here as it is in somewhere like Walmart, and it’s never even close to as crowded as Superstore. And their Compliments brand generally trumps NoName and the like—yeah, I said it, come at me.

I’m glad to pay a little more for a grocer that doesn’t make me dread my shopping trips.

We visit safeway alot. However they should train their cashiers not to tell 15 minute + story's.sure a quick chat is acceptable but i had no choice but to ask him for my change that he was holding in his hand for 15 minutes while holding me hostage to his story's that quiet frankly were just made up.something about his brother walking a lion on a leash.thr zoo allowed his brother who works with lions to take a full grown lion home because he was old and his teeth uave been filed down.you can't make this stuff up

This may be the worst Safeway in town! There are never more than few staff working, bakery closes at 6, and they don't carry all the items that most other Safeways do - you are better off going to Westbrook or Signal Hill.

Francke the manager was caught picking his nose and putting it on an apple. This place is nasty, and the management is even nastier!

We stopped by to do some quick grocery here and it was great. The store is very well maintained and organized. I'm not too sure about the prices since I don't live in Alberta but they looked fine to me.
Plenty of parking outside as expected. Overall, definitely recommended.

Lots of parking spaces and handicap access. Nice neighborhood other stores and shops are there. Bowling as well.

Lived a couple blocks away for a long time still come in often great staff, nice hot fresh food constantly at the deli, clean well stocked and maintained store!

Top Notch! I grab my lunch from the deli every Monday and Wed. I am greeted with a smile and great customer service everytime. The soups are deadly and always hot and not sure of the gentlemans name who serves me at the sandwich counter but he is just a beauty! I highly recommend this location these other less than 5 star reviews are probably a reflection of that individuals day lol

A construction crew I was on was swarmed by armed police in the parking lot because the vibrations we cause set off an alarm in the bank. It turns out a baby was found in a nearby dumpster an recycling collection is limited to stop fights over it, in this neighborhood.the cops told me this part of town was calgary's secret $hit hole, he was back a few days later to arrest junkies camping in our porta potty.
I dont know if I would trust the food around here

They don't answer the phones in any departments, absolutely ridiculous. Does no one work at this store?

Never gonna come back here anymore, staff here are rude, arrogant and lazy. Anything i asked their answers was " I DON'T KNOW " i asked 3 different staff and they're answers was the same, i think they have a pattern on how to respond to the customers, so disappointed, for these review i can't even give them a star they don't deserve to have star not even one.

Nice location. I go here quite a bit, because it’s close to me. Prices aren’t too bad. Most of the staff is friendly, but I have to say I always have a bad experience with one of the gentleman in the deli. He never seems happy, and his customer service is quite poor. I don’t like ordering deli meat when he is working.

The staff here are extremely gourteous, helpful and sincere. Not the biggest Safeway I've been in but definitely the best because of the staff. Any other Safeway store gets a 2.5 at best.
