Clean and we'll stocked. Typically not as busy as Walmart or other grocery stores, but slightly more expensive typically. Still worth for better meat/produce
My wife and I stopped in to grab a few items on the way home from an appointment we had across town. We were immediately blown away by how well organized and stocked the store was. The staff were all super friendly as well, which is a nice change of pace given the Safeway we typically visit doesn't come close to the level of service we received at the Manning location. In fact, we were so impressed with our experience, that we will be making the 20 minute commute to shop there moving forward!
This used to be my favorite Safeway to go to but since sobeys bought it there's nothing worth going for any more. Prices are no better than any other grocery store and the compliments products are not great. The only saving grace is the bakery, but again, most products are now compliments and are not as good as they used to be. The only reason to go is if you are specifically craving their donuts or stopping at their gas bar or the Starbucks
Chantal W kicked butt and was an amazing help for me and my girlfriend she helped with air miles and getting us started in collecting points. Definitely will be coming here over superstore in the future
Self checkout wouldn't scan my air miles. Attendant basically shrogges his shoulders. Didn't offer to help or find an alternate solution. Had to wait in line a second time as this location refuses to open an express lane. Waited almost 30 minutes for 5 items. Very frustrating.
I think more tills need to be open or open a self serve at 7: 00 am. They are trying their best to enter grocery items and handle customers but it's a very stressful experience as a customer. Getting tired of it. Also a couple of weeks ago I forgot my air miles card. I called customer service and asked if they had seen it. Someone checking said no the cashier who helped me that day asked if I got it back I said no. I said customer service said they didn't have it. She said it's still here and it was. Thank goodness for good cashiers but that's all I can say about the store nothing else good
Had everything I was looking for. My receipt had a deal on fish and chips at Joey's so we went over there and had the special with haddock fish ate outdoors on the patio. The meal was delicious. I was never in that Safeway for a long time and I found it easy to find everything. 2 for one chicken breasts, 2 for one bbq wings, ego waffles shrimp rings on sale. I would definitely go back
Bakery at this location is horrible. Seems like they are always out of cheese buns or the cheese buns they have are semi burnt and almost completely hollow. Also had lots of rotten Armstrong cheese blocks
Rude, unprofessional behaviour this early June 2021. Only from a single, elderly female employee, it’s enough for me not to return. Myself, a 40ish male using the self checkout, and her standing there observing the whole time, waited for me to finish checking out, on my way out had to approach me in a loud tone, asked “are those your own shopping bags from home sir! ”. I was absolutely embarrassed. After years of being a costumer, I will not return!
Always helpful people working there and friendly. Usually everything I need and easy returns if necessary.
They did serve/let in a young man without a mask to order Starbucks and walk thru the store was quite surprised as haven't seen anyone in the store for a very long time without one.
Seems like customer service is on the decline at many businesses, and Safeway is no exception. No price matching, self check out closed, some sale tags are unreadable and have to ask the cashier each time to double bag when you already asked for double bags on everything. Not to mention putting stuff in your bag that you said you didnt want. Complete joke.
I don’t know why it has been 2 weeks and their parking lot is dirty where the snow melt. It may be the plaza management but still is Safeway’s parking lot.they should get someone tho clean up.it looks ugly.
This is my local go-to place since I moved here 15 years ago. They are always friendly and helpful. If they don't have something you're looking for, they will always try to get it for you, even if it means ordering it. Fair prices on everything and Air Miles on that as well.
I went to get my vaccination shot today at Manning Safeway and the Pharmacy staff were great as always at Safeway. Manning is not my normal store as I drove in from St. Albert for my 2pm appt. When I got to the vax site, there was another ahead of me, she was a Safeway employee. My turn came and then from nowhere Meghan swoops in, another Safeway employee, to rudely cut in front of me and take her turn. When I said Excuse me! She said she was supposed to go 20 mins ago, and went in to get her shot. Meghan got an earful me from and so did her Supervisor, Savrim, who was very understanding and apologetic. However, not a good look Safeway! Meghan need some training.
Seem alright for most thing are good just not the cheese aisle everytime I try to get cheese the expiration date always seem to be in a few days or less than a week so I never get any when Sobeys cheeses seem to always expire in months compared to days and bakery needs a upgrade and better selections
The person that was working that day seemed joyful. The kinda of person you would feel good sharing a coffee with for a chat. Thanks for making my visit a happy one.
12/22/2020 - Staff member named "Maria" touched my 3 month old. Being a single mom I am forced to do everything myself and thought a Safeway would be a relatively safe place to go for covid shopping. I was wrong and will go elsewhere for food in the future.
We always come here for our veggies, meats and bread. The quality is usually better than some other stores. Prices are a bit on the high end though, sometimes things on sale here are more expensive than the regular price elsewhere.
Just prepare for spending more time than you expecting to spend in the store because of how they setup and design. The store is different from those Safways in west end. The bakery section is on the right side of the store instead of left. And the deli section is on the left side instead of right. So if you're from west end you will confused.
Decent sales. The supper we bought has turned me off from purchasing from then again (sushi). Just a bland, boring, flavorless reminder that 2020 sucks and sushi isn't worth getting anymore
We have been shopping at manning crossing safeway for years.the assistant manager and staff are very unfriendly.just today the assistant manager named Craig was at self check.he said have a nice day to every person except my wife. I am very insulted by this person.we have been faithful customers to that store for 20 years.he should be replaced.the staff appear very unhappy and have overheard the staff complaining about their jobs.
No care for saftey, yesterday more then 8 people not wearing masks. 1 was coughing upfront of security and he didn't say a word. UNSAFE STORE STAY AWAY!
Hyper reactive high school girl who does not assume common sense or social distancing, all with a curious air of obnoxious self- righteousness. She will try to generate "skirmishes" with customers at the till, when you have no idea who she is and do not intend to see her again.
