Someone should let Garry, the older Asian gentleman who wears his black and grey hair in a knot/bun, that it is incredibly unprofessional and disgusting to be throwing his cigarette butts on the ground and in bushes in front of the store while in uniform. Be better.
It's closeby my community, I live in Terwilleger and so this is close enough. I love to shop here, you can get all your grocery from here. I love the flowers and plants section the most.
Very tidy and usually not too busy. Hot food and bakery are fresh. Parking is sometimes crazy as the parking is shared with a number of businesses in the mall including labs, clinics, and banks.
This Safeway is well maintained and the food is great. My rating has to do with the deli- specifically where sandwiches are prepared. The person today didn’t wash her hands prior to putting on gloves and the proceeded to touch my food, then go into a fridge, touch my food, then go into a drawer and did this cycle one more time. Needless to say I left the sandwich at customer service and explained what happened. Food safe is very important and this Safeway should ensure their employees know the correct way to prepare food. Makes me not want to buy anything else pre made by them.
I was there on a weekday afternoon and there weren't a lot of people. I appreciated that most people were wearing masks.
The butcher spent a fair bit of time explaining cuts of meat.
Two of the advertised specials that I had on my list were out, I received rainchecks for both.
I was pleasantly surprised that the sale price posted for multiples was honoured without purchasing the total number. For example, Rotel tomatoes were listed as 4 for $5, I purchased 2 for $2.50.
I love Safeway, especially the staff, they are so welcoming and helpful.you really can't beat the customer service here! I don't shop here often just because it's a bit pricey, but if I didn't care about the cost I would go here more often! Though.once in a while you'll find really good deals here!
These guys are pro no masks.in there today with lots of people walking around no masks. The manager has apparently made the decision that it’s not worth asking people at the door. ️
It's a good and not overly busy safeway. Their natural health section is always improving and on top of things, which gets extra points for me. Especially Purica products!
Not sure what's happening at this location, we have been shopping here for 15 yrs, however over the last few mths we have witnessed customers in store without a mask? I do not see staff, security or managers addressing these individuals? How are they allowed to shop without wearing any face covering? I cannot continue to shop here as I do not feel safe.
Pharmacy dept.male counter person Very polite, but can't collect all medicine in same time, even phoned in for pick up fir second visit, still need to wait for the rest, very inconvenient, no thanks, will try somewhere else.
I've been going to this store for at least a decade now, I'm not a fan of the new "healthy" (super expensive) section but still it is a very nice store, staff is always friendly. However, prices have gone up and quality has slightly gone down.
Clean, well maintained. Decent variety although kind of sad about how little vareity in Chunky soups, but the whole city seems to be having trouble obtaining them.
This store has always been great till some new manager appeared on the scene
He is very abrasive and treats you like the criminal he probably is when you make a return and goes to extreme lengths if you don't have a receipt putting you through hell.
Safeway should get rid of this loser before they lose more business.
The location is great, the selection of produce can be a bit disappointing at times. Think staples and not anything too exotic for what you can find here. Staff is always friendly. There is a Starbucks inside this one, so if you need your fix you can do that too.
This is a pretty good Safeway. It has decent organic section, and the produce is fresher than most supermarkets. I wish the bakery would get away from hydrogenated vegetable trans fats (cancer and heart disease)
It’s a typical, good Safeway. The problem is that it’s always busy and the parking lot is pretty small when having to share with other businesses. The parking is the biggest issue, especially because it’s always busy!
