Safeway South Trail Crossing

Starbucks in this location always has poor service, even though the staff is friendly they are not trained enough, missing to scan the points, missing parts of the order (sugar, honey or cinnamon for example). I am not visiting often, but when visiting have always seen the same issues. Better go to Southtrail Shopping Centre at 4600 130 Ave SE, close to Canadian Tire, you will not regret.

Friendly and helpful staff, very clean store, carts, and baskets are clean and always stocked, rarely left willy nilly in the parking lot, I find the quality of fresh / outer isle selection very high and options are plentiful. Personally, not the place to go on a huge grocery run as it can be a little pricey, but they do have great promotions and weekly deals.

Life lesson again.maybe bypass the urge to buy the 2 day old Chicken Ceasar wrap for a discount.if you don't.you will regret it for another 2 days.

This is a nice location. Lots of ready made food. Salads are great! The staff is good and helpful. The Starbucks in this Safeway is great they go out of their way to help.

Jackie is so lovely and helpful on the phone. I hadn’t gone to Safeway for years because I didn’t think my coupons would still work but now I’m going back after talking to Jackie on the phone.

I wanted to recognize Katie at this location. I have a friend who dreams of working at a grocery store. She is a fairly new immigrant, and her language is not great. I tried calling multiple grocery stores to help her set up an interview and the only person who was willing to take the time was Katie. It is not easy for new comers. It is clear Katie embodies an inclusive and supportive culture and that speaks volumes to this Safeway as well. I’m not sure if my friend will get the job or not, but it means a lot that Katie is giving her the time. Thank you!

Quinn is a good dude! Super devoted employee! Even when CEO of tech company was a possibility he was just simply too focused on running around at Safeway! Great job Quinn We should all be inspired by his commitment to make this establishment run as smoothly as it does!

Rudest customer service ever. Went to buy flowers, the two female associates have no idea about what customer service is. Further, one of the associates has audacity decide on behalf of the customer if the bouquet of flowers are affordable or expensive. You tell the customer the price, let them decide if it’s expensive or not. Need to train your associates before you send to the floor.

I used to shop at Safeway all the time but rarely go anymore due to their increased prices and and lack of decent airmiles promotions.

There should be recognition during Covid for all the immunizations pharmacists and other HCP have been doing, I have to recognize the excellence of pharmacist Oday Kamil with his needle injection technique. I'm a nurse and know not everyone can give a good needle, my first Covid shot was stabbed at me at another pharmacy and I felt like a nerve tingling effect, plus a sore arm immediately, my second needle today was perfectly executed and I felt no after effects like I did the first time, I will stick to my local safeway pharmacy in the future. Please pass on my positive review and thanks to your pharmacist today.

FIX THE GATE ON FAR RIGHT ENTRANCE! The gate should automatically open but has issues. Two weeks ago it didn’t open as expected and I ran into it slamming me in the hips. I watched the same thing happen to an elderly lady a few days ago. Then again today, it didn’t open and it got me! I told an employee they need to fix it and she said, “Ya, I know. ” It’s obviously a known issue but it hasn’t been dealt with. This is a safety hazard and unacceptable!

Awesome grocery store.large and bright. Loved the selections very well stocked. The staff is top notch.we live in Okotoks and it does not compare to this location in southtrail.

Good bakery section however nobody was at the counter in the evening so we picked prepackaged snacks instead of looking for help.

Just had trouble finding strawberries, which were all the way at the end of the produce isle in the same fridge as boxed lettuce. I would have thought they'd be up front and centre at this time of year, but oh well! I found them anyway. Clean store, fully stocked, quick check-out.

Staff was good, product limited. Although the caesar salad was fresh made for me it had no dressing. Ended up buying a tray of chopped lettuce, lol.

Thumbs up for this Safeway. The produce section is well organized and fresh. There is a 3-aisle natural products section which is great for those with food sensitivities and allergies. A little pricier than other grocery stores but they do have good weekly sales.

Store is close to home. Has good variety and fresh fruit and veggies and meats. Pretty good bakery.all around a good ace to shop.

The employees of this location, constantly smoke cigarettes in the front where customers are walking. As a non smoker who has lost most of my family due to cancer, I find this extremely offensive. I wish management had some sense of professionalism and stopped this

Big choice, clean store, no lineups outside, carts are sanitized, always a lot of sales and promotions. One of my favorite grocery stores in Calgary.

Clean with good selection of food. I did get a jug of vinegar home before noticing it had a large slice in the side of it but returned it no problem

I was shopping here this evening. There is a brown haired woman with glasses who usually checks my groceries out and she is always so great at her job. She always asks me if I found everything okay and packs my groceries so carefully. I find myself always choosing her when I go! I dont remember her name unfortunately. But she's very genuine and awesome at her job.

The produce section of the store is under stocked which is disappointing.
The staff walked the wrong way down the clearly labeled isles and were not very friendly.

Fruit and veggie section although clean and visually attractive is expensive and has shortcomings in the produce that is available. Not a lot of choices. Meat send to be the same way. Do like the bread"baked in store" lol.
If you look for the sales or buying multiples to save it can be a bit more reasonable (but not much)

Great to shop because it's never busy. Can have all the time in the world to shop in a quiet environment. You'll never have carts running/bumping into you here! Great!

6pm shopping for items needed for Christmas dinner. Clean store, friendly staff, excellent veggies, a wonderful flower selection and I bought them! A very calming experience during a covid time. Thank goodness for all the efficient staff and quiet speaking cashiers. Sounds crazy but everyone is so rushed and loud and in a hurry. I ended my time there

I was looking everywhere for vital wheat gluten and found in the last place I thought it would be; the gluten free zone. It is like placing a bag of peanuts in the peanut free zone.

There are a few places near this Safeway to get groceries, but I don't bother. I don't need miles of products. This store is peaceful, few kids and everything I need with some great sales. I especially like the staff at this location. I feel like I live in a small town where everybody knows everybody.

Their door has three sets of store hours on it, one saying they open at 9am, one at 8am and one at 7am. Make your mind up which it is and don't waste my time in the morning

Extensive disinfecting procedures and strict safety covid protocols being observed. Clean, organized which resulted in enjoyable, faster shopping experienced.

I love going to this Safeway because I love flowers and was looking for dryable flowers and found some that I love. After, I walked around the store to admire all the departments filled with fresh appealing food.

I love this location, it's always clean and as I'm a night shopper always quiet.

Additionally, the staff are always polite, and really helpful.

My local grocery store, love the service and the layout. Easy to navigate, always have everything I need in stock and fair prices. I like their location on this busy street providing quick access in and out.

Never has onion buns, and when they do, they only make a few bags (most I've ever seen are 2-3 bags available at a time, 2 years shopping at this location, & I'm there at least 3 days a week as I eat mainly fresh food items)

They asked for Air Miles AFTER I paid, at which time it's to late to receive the Air Miles. Had to stand in line at customer service if I wanted them

This location is probably the cleanest compared to other locations. I like how their meats are always stocked.

The pharmacy is top-notch and the people working here really do care about you and take an interest in you and your health.

I love the meat counter and you can't beat the apple fritters in the bakery.

Nice clean store and helpful staff. At the time we went it was not busy (evening around 7: 30). Prices could be better, I think overall they cost more than Superstore.

During Covid this store has been great all the carts are sanitized and a greeter at the door to offer hand sanitizer.

People at these stores need REGULAR REMINDERS that it is manditory to bag Raw Meat seperately from everything else. Especially leaky packages of beef on top of a bag of carrots. Carrot bags having holes in them to avoid rotting. I'm talking about the South Trail branch in Calgary Alberta.

Never has "onion buns" available. I've spoken to the bakery dept numerous times (4 different employees in that department) and I've spoken to the store manager 3x about this. All say they will talk to someone but this has been going on for over 7 months now. Terrible service!

Safeway always good never had any issues at any location last 20 years I've been shopping, always enjoyed being able too pick up a good lunch at "the bar" (where the macaroni salads and stuff ready too go!) keep up the fine work

The staff were not up to speed as I call it on pricing. The store was clean but the cashier seemed nervous to handle customers. They were stocked on bread but short on milk.
