Safeway West Lethbridge

Safeway and Save on Foods. They had it good in Lethbridge for quite some time. The market was cornered. High fives all around. Then something changed. Competition happened.and got schooled on capitalism. Safeway went from being the budget friendly go to option to what it is now. Nobody wants to actually go to Safeway except out of shear desperation and a couple forgotten items that you need NOW for dinner. I have never seen such a large convenience store. Has a lot of selection but there's a price to pay.

Love the way this store looks and smells. Items are neatly organized, staff are pleasant and have no problem answering your questions and pointing you in the right direction. Bread is always freshly made, fruit, veggies and other items are always fresh and enticing. Kudos to everyone who works there. Don't stop, please.

Good clean store but they need to expand their keto and low carb product offerings. Never seem to have anything in stock.especially sale items! Also never seem to carry items that are advertised.

Most out of hand pricing I.have ever seen in my life. Small container of not very good strawberries $8.50.10 small mandarin oranges $7. You don't even want to know what the meat was priced at. It's not all from inflation

I bought strawberries that had caterpillars inside the fruits, gross first time I ever saw this

Typical. Need more product at times. Many empty shelves the times we have gone.
Decently clean. Staff impartial.

Best prepared fruit section in all of Lethbridge. The prepared cored pineapple and prepared fruit trays look 100 times better than Superstore, No Frills, and Walmarts.

Always have what I'm looking for, but wouldn't recommend doing a full grocery shop there as it is quite a bit more expensive than most grocery outlets.

Things are fresh and easy to find. The prices are quite a bit higher than other grocery chains. But the experience is decent.

Overpriced. Only good thing is the bakery. Roasted chicken and fresh food behind the counter, like lemon chicken or sweet & sour pork is the only reason I go there.

Maybe it isn't fair to compare everything to No frills. I mean, no frills is half the price or close to that on most things.

Apparently ordering a drink with light ice triggered Ali at the Starbucks here. Work on your customer service. At least the drink was made well.

Why is it that all Safeway employees think they're better than everyone? Every time I go here I get the rudest customer service with there snotty noses turned up at me like I'm some hoodlum. I try to avoid going here as much as possible.

After 15 months of covid, nice to see that you are still committed to cleaning & occupancy limits. Always greeted at the door & given a clean cart. Checkout points are cleaned after each customer & staff are great. Keep up the good work!
