Safeway Westmount Centre

I got my stuff today. But it's the best ever and I've got somewhere by on my stuff.

Nothing wrong with this Safeway other then it can get a bit busy during the week around 11: 30-1 because of the school right behind it

In the morning, my husband went in for a brick of cheese…find out later on, double charge on his credit. At first, we called the credit to solve the problem. They said go to the sale to solve. In the evening, went back in to solve the problem…. They refused to solve the problem…. Went my husband try to solve the problem…me and my don walk around…the lady who deal with my husband talk with the next customer “the customer being cheap”?

Please training your customer service better
Never step my foot back in there

I just ate "the" most boring chicken in my life. Geez people of you're too cheap to use some spices at least sprinkle a little salt, or is that too expensive for your customers also?

Great place to shop but shopping there is to high and there is no airmile to collect points anymore

Great store until you get to the meat department I'm sure the meat cutters have no idea what they are doing. I know this because I've shopped at westmount for many years and have been to other Safeway stores and it is so much better. The meat cutters prior to Sobeys taking over where great but now have gone. I was just at westmount looking for a steak and they had slices threw the meat not sure what that's about?

One of the city's older strip malls. Alot of stores have come and gone, ie, the theater that was upstairs, Zellers now a 2 floor Walmart used to be a rink, now a muscle machine, it's a great place for the quick cash and grab shopping there is a Home Depot here also. Parking lot needed to be resurfaced as do a lot of others. There is a library at the north end of mall by Walmart. Out back there is a major bus stop, so if you travel by buss here's the place to go.

Found everything I was looking for Thanksgiving dinner. Right from pies to Turkey roasters and whip cream. Get all your dinner needs here

5 minutes before closing time, Oct 20,2021, a store clerk greets me at the front entrance tells me that the store is closed, that I better get out fast. Found this to be extremely rude and inappropriate. Did not give any salutations, nor did he have any manners.

We bought some candy that was supposed to be 50% off and when we had a closer look at home, we saw it was not. Just wondering if they stack some regular price stuff on the discount rack.

Bought a bday cake for my mommy it was after bakery hours and I was still able to find the perfect cake. It was a pull apart cake which is cupcakes grouped together and decorated like a unicorn the whipped icing was so good. Store was clean and tidy and not crowded at all.

Love this location oribi the best location in Edmonton in my opinion, the fresh veggies and fruit is always stocked. Way better then that unity square location.

This crazy looking white lady every corner in the store she was around me, and when i left she also left behind me, When entering the store behind me, not sure how to respond to this kind of senario but defenetly creepy and made me uncomfortable:) other than that its a good place to shop!

I like shopping at this mall because it's really dead, so you're not in a big crowd or waiting in big lines for anything. This Safeway is actually pretty organized. I ordered a lot of hot foods and it's actually better than some of the other places. The disinfect between every customers at the checkout which is nice. You can't access the store through the mall currently so you have to use the doors on the outside. Four stars just because they're dessert section was a bit small and I couldn't find everything that I needed.

Everything is always so organized and clean looking. Great staff. But sadly I can't shop here too often because of the higher cost of food there.

My only complaint would be pricing on most things like pork chops. Otherwise, a great place for someone who needs to pick up a few things

It was 9: 43pm when I entered. They annouced closing, thought they were open until 11pm. Got what I was looking for and waited in one of 2 long lines of people, 10 in each line. Only 2 cashiers working, should have had self checkout working or another cashier. Staff were very friendly & polite. Customers around me were not too happy. I was just glad I got my items. Waited in line about 7 minutes.a little long but understandable with only 2 cashiers. No hours are posted on the door that I could see.

Groceries are on the pricier side. Long lineups at cashiers at times. Friendly staff. Clean store.

This Safeway is okay. It's convenient for me as I drive by it all the time. But I can often get crowded and disorganized

Always so clean and organised. Only one external used during covid. No internal mall access for now.

I am unable to wear a mask or shield due to C-PTSD. I ran short on a couple essentials and have no money left this month on disability to pay $8 for delivery. Marjory the manager was helpful to pull a couple items and leave at the front for me to pickup. This alleviated my stress/anxiety at people’s censure being in a store without a mask. She cannot comprehend how that simple act helped my quality of life today and my mental health. THANK YOU! ️

Not impressed with being rushed out the door and not offered help to find my last few items for my Christmas dinner. So happens it was delicious but I did not have and cranberry sauce so i was disappointed.

The only thing I hate from Safeway is that everything is expensive not affordable place to buy food, otherwise everything is perfect.

Friendly, helpfull, carts we're disinfected, and there was hand sanatizer, and the porkchops were on sale and they are delicious

I love this Safeway staff is so helpful I wish thay had an electric buggy like the one in Castle Downs area I believe for us handicap people. I prefer Safeway over Walmart for quite a few items.

Theyve got the best muffins and cookies of any grocery store chain. The sushi is better at sobeys.

My go to shopping spot. They follow COVID protocol and have great cleaning. Customers don't follow the arrows but thats like every store. They are always stocked up on everything i need.

I went to Westmount Safeway today to
buy fresh fruit and vegetables. They have a great well - stocked produce section. I asked several staff for directions to several products. Each one was courteous and more than willing to help. Safeway is very convenient for me: only a 5 minute drive.

Good variety Need to shop smart though. Don't understand why masks are so expensive making money from pandemic seems wrong. I feel that way about all stores

Safeway has the sweetest people with developmental disabilities employed who are all so willing to assist anyone that needs help. I'm so very impressed!

They don't offer what other Safeway offer which is the Tina, chicken, egg sandwich tray, and the 2 sandwiches I did buy taste old.this must not be a busy location.west end is way better

Great Safeway to shop at. The shelves are always well stocked, the fruits and vegetables are always plentiful and fresh. The staff are extremely friendly and always willing to help you with whatever you need there or are looking for. It's a very pleasurable shopping experience at the Westmount Safeway. I highly recommend it to anyone.

I was picking up my meds from the pharmacy. The Pharmacists, know their products and always help me out.

Pay a little bit more but always have product on the shelves, staff are helpful and glad to be of service.

Unwilling to assist, or answer questions.
I was incredibly shocked at how little the employees were able or willing to solve problems.

Lot of staff not wearing masks or not wearing them covering their nose. 2 women in the same aisle only pulled them up when I walked close. Another was shopping. Another came out near the seafood. And this was a place that had been doing a good job

Safeway is over priced.they also have an agreement with walmart for walmart not to step on there toes in the way of food.seems to me that this is noth the richest community but big corporations don't take things like this into account.or do they?

Decent shopping. Lighting is atrocious but store has reasonable prices and selection for small format and staff are always helpful.

This is the worst grocery store I've ever shopped at. Whoever manages this place should be fired.

This location tarnishes the name of the safeway /sobeys brand.

Everytime I come I remember why I hate this place and just leave without buying anything.

The chicken is on sale this week $25 a box. In the flyer no limit I go into this location and they have stickers for limit of 2. And the other locations no limit. The lady stocking says there is only a limit of two I said to her ya I see your sticker but your flyer says something else.she says I'm just doing what my managers says. Which is fine but why are the stores and the filters says something totally different

Friendly staff, good Produce. Most times easy to get the items needed. Easy Parking, Wheelchair accessible.
Enjoyable when going at a low occupancy time such as Dinner hour. I wear a mask when I go in.during this time of Covid-19 pandemic. I see most shoppers do wear their masks.
Thankyou to the staff here for protecting themselves and others as well as showing up to work on our behalf. I appreciate all of you!

Used to shop here often. An employee berated my partner for using there own bags at self check out and claimed they were not social distancing. My partner was wearing a mask and takes social distancing very seriously. They made her wait 10 minutes until someone could look inside her bag safely, it didn't make much sense. This employee demonstrated the hypocrisy of a branch that cannot even get their customers to follow the proper directions down the aisle. While the manager was very respectful when we made complaints over the phone, we will not be coming here as much.

Update: The managers called to apologize after reviewing our complaint and were very professional. Any problems should be brought to the management who will take them seriously and attempt to make amends. We will be shopping here again.

As a side note the gas bar gave me a half empty propane tank when I last.went for an exchange. Make sure it's full before you leave.

I have shopped at Safeway for almost 20 years, they have good produce and I love how the meat is cut. The employees are very nice and a clean store
