RACIAL PROFILING! Been shopping here for years. This was the first time we had a issue with the employees. We baught steaks and BBQ supplies. My little brother needed the restroom and afterward I paid for the groceries. My brother tried to buy imodium at the front tills. The female employee grabbed the item out of his hands by the pharmacy section. She had asked him a bunch questions. She grabbed every item off the shelf and brought them to customer service to check the inventory of the product. As we told other workers all they did was stare at us on how she treated us. They then said bye out loud 4x and told us to leave. They later said they watched us shop from when we first walked in and told both of us they followed us. Due to the way my brother walked. Went there today and they now have signs up. They placed all the products behind the front customer service. My brother is a dialsis patient and has treatment runs 3x week. He has caterates so he is partially blind due to his eye surgerys. He had his 3 toes removed from previous surgery. That's why he walks the way he does. The employees need to work on there customer service.

Prices are getting very high.
Nearly $9-$14 for most of their baking and deli products that used to be much lower in prices.
The Prices on their frozen food is also A sad joke.
Some of us don't want to always go to Wal-Mart.
Prices are also increasing while their food is getting smaller too!
Too many products have the French side facing out as well, I don't read French or care for it.
Too many staff smoke near the front door, too many cigarette butts on the ground.

Safeway is my favorite place to shop, though prices are higher than Walmart on a lot of stuff
The things I refuse to buy at Walmart, for example, meat of any kind and love to get my sandwich deli meat cut there. But the Deli has disappointed me lately from closing it early with 2 hours left before 9 pm twice now and were doing this as well 2 or 3 months ago
They would have gotten 5 stars if they keep that deli open, and their pastries have been un stocked a lot lately

They abit more expensive but meat an produce i worth it if you care about what you put into your body

Super nicely stocked, well staffed and thankfully, ignoring the inhuman self checkout syndrome of the big cities. (those things are awful, treat us like cows at feeding troughs, take away social contact). Support this store, support people cashiers, support stores who accept cash as always like this place!

Bakery is outstanding. But overall the store always has a good selection and the staff are friendly and kind.

Alwayz good sales and clean sometimes not enuff cashiers open but usually do call for more so short wait inline cauz i do go on my lunch hour

The girl with the purple hair in the the deli was so ignorant! I ordered $40 worth of food she scooped it up and threw it on the ledge and walk away I had had to ask her 6 times to come back and order more! She was nasty! It felt like I owed her! Get rid of her

Very friendly staff. Checkout was quick. Produce was fresh. Has wide aisles. Competitive pricing. Safeway is now accepting Scene cards as their loyalty card instead of Air Miles.

The place is located on the main drive through wetaskiwin. Stopped to have lunch and the selection was very good with a variety of sandwiches & soups. Hot food as well. The store well maintained & staff very friendly. Starbucks located in side too.

SMH at lack of common sense. Workers on a lift working on the roof in front of the entrance doors this am. So dangerous! The doors were left open so people would come out of the store and be greeted with a zoom boom right outside that was moving. So much could have gone wrong here Safeway

Needed some flowers for a special occasion. There were many choices and I was very happy with my purchases.

Friendly staff and well-stocked shelves. Nice that you can grab a Starbucks coffee on site while shopping.

No one asked if we had " found everything ok". However, normally the staff there are very friendly and warm. It was busy because of valentine's days. I still think we should have been talked to by staff, we were there for 30min. Not even the teller

Since the purchase of Safeway by Sobeys the product selection has been reduced significantly. The service is great but selection in very poor.

Clean and friendly place. Some items are a little expensive but overall a good shopping experience.

Very little meat in the coolers. I think they were between shipments. I had to go to another store to get some meat.

Very clean and well lit, nice wide aisles. Only place I can find Sunny Boy! Friendly and efficient young lad in the deli. Excellent store!

Always a delight to shop here. I appreciate my groceries being packed and no one trying to force me to use a self check out. Customer service is always great here.

Stopped by the Starbucks and received fantastic service great coffee and a delicious lemon cake. So yummy.

Great people and awesome service. When lines get long, people get called to help and you get out quick. They have the stuff my family likes and looks for and those specialities for the more difficult diets. I grocery shop nowhere else.

For a smaller community they carry a number of lactose free products as well as dairy alternatives.

Like, basically the only grocery store in the town now, so I guess it's what you're stuck with.

Need more available check outs. Having available employees for check streamlines. Getting in and out. Just saving me time. Ensures I'll be back to support this Bussiness.

Wish it was still Safeway.the produce use to be top notch and now since sobeys bought it the produce is awful.

They have a nice variety of iced tea. I am a gamer so i do love iced tea. As well with soda. The prices are a little to steap but it's ok since I am rich. I have a RTX 2080 TI, I9 9900K, 36 GB OF RAM water cooled pc with my ultra wide alienware monitor and my Corsair K95 Rgb platinum keyboard and a Stealseries Rival 600 mouse

Safeway is great.you can collect air miles plus, always fresh foods and, great produce.great customer service.

The deli lady was very ignorant to me because i am Indigenous. Very clearly racist. The cashier was friendly though. I go to safeway all the time, maybe not so much now.
