Purchased a sweater for my husband approx two months ago and didn’t actually give him the sweater until his birthday yesterday (proactive hah). This was when we noticed the draw strings had some damage. I contacted the book store and the book store manager was super helpful and quick to respond. They immediately offered to send us a replacement and sent out the new sweater the same day.
I had such a positive experience I will be sure to purchase some more SAIT swag for that reason alone.
Campus opens from pandemic and first day of classes. Let’s open at 9, BRILLIANT. Students are encouraged to shop at the campus store. Let’s not have their supplies, BRILLIANT. Let’s be a technical college, but not even be able to map out a lineup BRILLIANT. Whoever is running this place is not Brilliant. I don’t usually leave reviews but this store was HORRIBLE.
I wish I knew I was able to give a review months ago however I still believe it is worth it. I had rented a text book from the bookstore and in the end was charged over $90 on my cc and was not sent a receipt. I did not recognize the merchant where the charge was made so I had to call to ensure it wasn't fraud. I spoke to the agent and was informed that it could have been for a text book so I assumed it was the book I had rented out. I was fine with the charge as I wanted to keep the book anyways. What I was not fine with was the card that I didn't want charged was and I had no invoice. When I inquired about the charge and an invoice via email to the bookstore, I was not helped at all. The person who replied to my inquiry said that at the time when I rented the text book I had given authorization and that an invoice was emailed to the email listed. I replied back asking for a copy of the receipt as I didn't receive anything after checking all my emails and spam folders. To date I got no reply and still haven't confirmed if the charge was for this particular book. I did not appreciate being brushed off like that and since then I have been purchasing my books elsewhere, which is unfortunate because I would have like to support the bookstore however I do not support the lack of service.
Buyer beware had to email regarding price issue, then argued over pricing. Once she sent what their cost and markup is she finally got it fixed and said 'they didn't intend to overcharge'. Arguing to not be ripped off is annoying
My first time in the bookstore since starting my new program, the staff in the SAIT bookstore are so nice and welcoming. Always helpful with finding supplies. They even went down to their warehouse to find me a sweater! Such a nice store with awesome merchandise and the best staff I have come across during my time at SAIT. I will be back in the store for lots more!
I brought up the condition the store was in a previous review and now see it was deleted. It was a 2 star, well my review has dropped to a 1. Material I needed was $75 yesterday and for weeks and now it's over $300. My son's friends bought it for $75. I'm being penalized for waiting until the class start to purchase? Highway robbery
Wrong price online for item, wrong by over $200. So I need to order online then call and get a refund for the difference? Just do it right in the first place. How hard is this, isn't selling books your business? I want to shop online to avoid the hassle.
I had a wonderful experience with the SAIT Book Store. The service is very fast and Thorsten, the Store Manager, was very helpful and swift in accommodating my last minute change. Thank you!

Class started yesterday. They don't have my book. They don't know when it'll be in. The lady on the phone knows nothing so I came in. The store itself is nice but messy at the registers. Seems very unorganized and I will need to buy my book elsewhere.
The manager Thorsten Koslowski not only deals with deliveries and pick ups of textbooks for students very timely. As well as dealing with issues such as returns and other matters very promptly. Superb service!
Went in to pickup my books. They had network issues and couldn't help me which worked out as they didn't have what I needed. Their website has absolutely no supplies so I'm forced to go in as they rarely answer the phone. Thought I'd get my girlfriend's books as she started last week and guess what, they don't have those either. What a waste of time. It's so unorganized in there
One week in, no books. Manager is 'hoping' they'll be in by end of week. So 2 weeks in I might not have my books. I've never had this issue with the Bookstore until the new management came in. A bookstore with no books, not helpful to students at all.
Staff smells like body odor, store is a mess and I tripped on a peice of wood laying around, they yell to communicate to each other. I miss when this store was run properly the new management company is running it into the ground. Manager follows you around and makes you feel like you are going to steal, I just want to browse. The campus itself has done a great job with COVID these guys not so much. EDIT: based on reply to review and SAIT contacting myself I've bumped this to a 2 star
It's like they don't want my money. No one answers phone. Friday's there is no curbside or in-store shopping. Website says to email 24 hours in advance for shopping. Got an out of office with no access to email and no one to email in absence. Absolutely no way to get into this place.
The service i received was beyond fantastic! I could not have asked for a store to deal with the situation we faced in a better way! I order my book online, and choose to have it delivered to me. Somewhere along its journey a mistake happened and it was sent to the wrong address with someone else's order.
I have to bring up that after my visit at the store today (Friday the last business day before classes start for the winter 2021 semester) I have seen how hard all the employees are working to ensure they do everything they can to help all students be prepared for class.mistakes happen, in no way was anyone at fault or neglecting their duties as an employee in this situation! Mistakes happen!
After speaking with an extremely kind lady early this week and arranging to pick up my book on Monday jan 11, I tried to call the store today (friday jan 8) to arrange picking my book up earlier than planned as it worked better for my schedule, I was not able to get ahold of the store and know that it is because the staff has been working to the bone to accommodate the last minute rush before class starts. So i decided to go to the store as I was out anyway. I was received and acknowledged by every member of the staff in the most amazing way. We worked together and in the end I ended up leaving with the book I required for my class. I am so thankful that the staff here took the time to accommodate me even though they are definitely over working themselves to ensure our success as students! I am so happy to be part of the SAIT family, especially after this experience and how it was handled. Thank you to the amazing staff at the bookstore, you restored my faith in good, kind, honest people! I hope the staff and everyone else is aware of the great impact they have on life as a student.
What a joke. I had to go in there because I couldn't get anyone on the phone for days or a simple email reply. Stores a mess. Manager finally replies back with horrible customer service and a 2 worded reply. Still don't have my book one month in to course. Can't blame COVID it's been a year get with it
They decided to make the only way you can buy books curbside pickup, but are too busy to meet the demands quickly or efficiently. Some of the books I needed were out of stock until the day after I ordered. I asked if I could add these to my order but they said I couldn't.
I ended up not having the book on time because I had to do another order and all timeslots for pickups were full. BAD SYSTEM
The private contractor that has taken over the bookstore has created so much stress. They were not organized to send books out when it came time to order textbooks. They sent me 4 different packages for my textbooks instead of just sending them all at once. They overcharged multiple times. I paid using my paypal account, the only way to get a refund in price difference is to send them your credit card information over email.
Everything is always on backorder. You also have to contact the bookstore 24 hours prior to access the bookstore but can only do so Wednesday and Thursday from 1-3pm. It says curbside is available but there seems to be no availability for curbside pickup.
The SAIT bookstore is not a book store anymore, they do not have books in stock and on the shelf. I was shocked to walked in and see the shelves empty, this is not the book store I remember.
Everything I needed for my classes was there, some people say is overpriced but is not some items are cheaper, will probably cost you more elsewhere just by driving around different stores and wasting time. Very convenient place
Pretty good place to get books for my studies at sait. Only complaint is that some of the books are expensive, but I don't think theres too much the bookstore can do about that. Nice selection of sait merchandise along with a lot of other merch and all the supplies you will need for your schooling at sait!
Exorbitant prices for books and supplies I didn't want to buy in the first place as well as a rough time returning a book which I was charged too much for as they scanned the wrong book at checkout. I did get my money back eventually though which added a star to the rating. Why are you looking at a review for a school book store anyways? Everyone knows you go to adult source before hand to buy a little lube because you know what's happening when you leave that store anyways.
