Staff is always helpful with questions.

Clothes selection is better for women than men. But there's still a lot of options.

Sales are good, and staff leaves you alone to look around. Been buying clothes here for years.

This store is an embarrassment to the once great name of Saks Fifth Avenue.
The in-store tailoring appears to have been the done by a cocaine addled chicken and the customer service has spanned the gamut from nonexistent to AWOL.

It's about QUALITY here, not quantity. They may not have the best variety of selections to choose from, but what they do offer is supremely good merchandise. Their inventory changes regularly, and you can often find some great bargains on sale if you're patient and not in a hurry.

Super helpful staff & beautiful displays and selection. I bought a new Marc Jacobs Bag here and it was much less than online, plus I got a $100 gift card so I was able to buy myself a new Chanel perfume as well!

The staff here are so nice and helpful.they cater to my every need help me pick out nice clothes give opinions on style.best of all when i ask them to cut them up after i pay for them or draw on them with marker they are more then willing to go the extra mile.i think i have ruined about 2000 dollars worth of beautiful clothes.the la perla panties i paid 300 dollars for was the best of all.tks again to the staff

I am extremely disgusted and wounded at the service of this location. I had come in to the store with my POC boyfriend to buy a designer winter jacket and 3 people immediately asked us if we were okay, I understand customer service but that was not what it was. My boyfriend was wearing a designer jacket and toque! When we were browsing a woman in a blue blazer who saw us initially stormed over to us with SECURITY and asked us again if we were “fine. ” I then went to the actual Canadian goose store where I was extremely happy with THEIR service and purchased my coat. I will never give my business nor recommend this location. You have lost a customer and I hope your dignity. I am appalled

I usually don't write a review for a store, but I took time to make sure I will give my comments and suggestions about this store. As a new into designer items, I am willing to spend $$$$ esp.on their gift card event. Sad to say, some of the items that I got had imperfections and I felt unsatisfied knowing I spent a lot of money. I always ended up exchanging or returning the items, but unfortunately the big guy there or the security I guess looked so intimidating, that his face looked like he was belittling you, following you and looking at you wherever you go, It's not my fault that your items have defects, either no more stocks or last item in the store and they will still sell it in the same full price even it has imperfection. Imagine spending 5k but you are not satisfied and happy esp with the customer service. We don't have issues with all our credit cards but in this store my MasterCard wasn't working and I told them we have a very good credit score.what a embarrassing moment when I was there. Good thing my Visa card which I don't usually use was working. Please check your items first before selling them. And respect the customer's time, some of them are taking their time to make decision before buying. Sorry to say but I will not going back to this store.: (

Went in to buy some white pants.

After walking around for 10 mins, nobody welcomed me to the store or asked if I needed help. Keep in mind the store was also empty. There were maybe 3 other shoppers.
Found some pants I wanted to try on and went to the change rooms. Thought since nobody would help me I’d help myself.

Shortly after the loss prevention manager comes in, checks me out and opens up a change room. Then says on the radio “it’s not what it looks like”. So clearly I was being profiled.

Completely uncomfortable experience.
I was dressed nice, wore a Burberry jacket. Nice jeans.
Clothing that looks like it could have been purchased from the store.

I will never shop there again. I don’t need to feel uncomfortable when shopping at a store that should cater to successful people.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise but if your not dressed a certain way don’t expect to get customer service. It’s pretty typical for a store like this and unfortunately it’s something that’s still happening. I came in to buy Byredo perfume. I’m a big fan of Byredo and Diptique and love adding to my collection. I was back to school shopping with my kids so I was in track pants and the sales lady was not helpful, rude and dismissive. She seemed irritated by my kids who were behaving but wanted to smell a candle without touching it. Needless to say that I took my business back to Nordstrom to buy Byredo even though this brand has to be specially ordered there.

This was my first shopping experience at Saks. I purchased a new YSL bag and Farzad was excellent! Very patient, very thorough, excellent merchandise knowledge and was willing to go the extra mile to ensure I was happy with my purchase. I was very grateful for his expertise, time, and superior customer service. Thank you very much!

Womenswear’s staff they making eye contact but they never come to offer help and actually I have to chase them and ask for different size. I found out they are not helpful.

Today I bought a YSL bag and I had the best customers service that I experienced in any designer store. I highly recommend Georger he helped me to find what I was looking for.

Look for him if you want to have the best customer service!

Kiara is the rudest sales associate I’ve ever come across, while I was in the Mens department shopping for some denims I never got any assistance from her because she was busy talking to a guy coworker and I don’t know why she kept rolling her eyes at me. I’m surprised Saks don’t have any dress code. Never seen a luxury store sales person wear slippers at work. Very unprofessional

Absolute worst sales experience in my life. Tried to return 6 items from an online order, I had ordered 18 items in total. 45 minutes later, 2 employees later, waited forever for the so called manager to arrive. None of them could figure out how to do it, some story about tags/numbers not matching, Manager arrives, no greeting to me, tries to convince me to go sit somewhere, I didn't want to, then tried to convince me to trust them and just leave the items with them and check my email for the return. I said that I wasn't comfortable leaving my merchandise with her as I didn't even know her name, let alone needed some proof that I had left the merch with her. The manager had the nerve to suggest it was my fault for returning too many items! Btw in the 45 minutes, not one other customer was in the area. Manager did not even say sorry. Her employee at least apologized a few times. I could go on and on, but it was brutal. I thought there had to be a hidden camera somewhere to tell me they were just kidding. I went home and returned/cancelled all 18 items. Way easier to just ship back and avoid the store at all costs. Not the first time this store has been terrible. I believe they are going out of business soon.

Went in looking for a perfume, was trying out testers etc. Security was CREEPING me, could see the lady watching me over the shelves. The sales girls wouldn’t take their eyes off of me. Weird because they helped everyone who walked in after me before me and the tall blonde girl at the perfume section looked annoyed every time I asked her a question. Would’ve spent $400 on the perfume I wanted but couldn’t get any help, oh well. Maybe don’t judge a book by its cover. Will go to holt renfrew or somewhere else to purchase.

Worst shopping experience ever. My husband and I came in looking for jeans (for him). We went to the men's department and were not even greeted. It was not busy. I had to assist my husband in finding all of his sizes as the girl that opened the change room door wouldn't help us. I asked her about specific sizes and she said if you don't see it we must be sold out. Would not even attempt to look herself. We decided to take the jeans we wanted to purchase upstairs (to women's wear) instead of giving her the commission, and she literally chased us up the stairs to the register. The women's wear associate trying to help us was very apologetic, but the men's wear associate insisted on using her number in the register (spent $1000). Disgusted by this behaviour. Later returned our purchases. The riddle is solved as to why the store is empty.

Rather than coming over to help me pick out some products, the employee chooses to check and make sure the all the belt rack is locked when I was browsing the belts. Employees wearing work clothes thinks they are high class and automatically judge a client base on what they wear but they make pennies. What a joke.

Will never go here again. The staff surrounded us like the seagulls in Finding Nemo, I could almost hear them say "mine".
Seriously though, I was clear in what I wanted to purchase but asked for space while I looked around.it left me with a suffocating impression.

First of all I spent over $2200 in my 1 visit with saks chinook- I was to receive a gift card because of my purchase which came 3 months later and it was expired I was told by the manager that I would have to come in and activate it in store and would only be able to use there with them which is inconvenient but she said I could come in when I return to calgary as I was leaving the province for a few months - well as I returned the pandemic happened I have tried to call them to get my issue resolved today is the 5th time I've tried to call and reach someone and still have not been able to get a hold of anyone in any department as the phone just rings that being said I will never spend a dime there again nor will I be recommending them which I'm sure they dont even care. I'd rather pay the shipping and order directly from the versace website going forward - very poor experience for such an established with a high end reputation.

Had to use online service during pandemic. The.ca sites routes to their US warehouse, is provided by a third party. Paying duty on something I don’t pay duty on in stores is absurd.

I’ve been there couple of times, Men’s section is really bad and they don’t have any good brands. Men’s associates are not helpful at all. Few months ago when I went there, there was a helpful guy who was really nice and he helped me through my shopping process (I think his name was moe) But when I went there yesterday they told me he’s not working there anymore. From now on I need to deal with these useless associates! Probably not going there anymore.

Came to buy Tom ford Grey Vetiver. When I entered the Chinook lower level entrance, a lady asked me to put a mask on. I explained I has Asma but not only that, but no store ever in the last 3 months during the RONA has asked me to wear a mask. This is July 7 well past all the nonsense.
Hoping to get the Saks treatment the lady simply wouldn't budge on wearing a mask. I asked to talk to a manager but she said no one was around. I left. Called the 'official' Saks "customer support" number and it went straight to a Philippines call center.

Bottom line. Saks fifth avenue is a sham with ZERO customer service. Don't bother it's done.

Several past positive experiences, but not going there anymore. Walk in, look around, get a very attentive sales associate to take items to try on. Later just before trying stuff on, asked to wear a mask- wft? I said no, no other stores are doing this and left. Probably not a sound decision since all the big high end retailers are going under.

If I could give them 0 stars, I wcould. Went in looking for a bag and waited 20 minutes, trying to find a salesperson to assist us. About 5 staff members looked at us, some giving us dirty looks, before they walked away. We were about to leave when one staff finally acknowledged us pleasantly. Even though it wasn't her department, she helped us and we bought the bag from her. She was very nice. I believe these people work on commissions. Wouldn't give 90%of them my money. Maybe management should give their staff customer service classes. They desperately need it.

Staff was extremely judgemental, did not greet me, just barley gave me a glare and dirty one to. Felt like I was being followed around even though I was there to buy a jacket. I Asked multiple times to see a particular jacket I was interested in buying, barley any response from the staff just pointing me in a random area where the jackets were not even located. I feel as if the staff judges you on what you wear and what brands you are wearing and give you value based on what brands you wear. When I asked for a size they just said they have nothing no explanation nothing. Ended up going to Nordstrom instead because of how badly I was treated, at least at Nordstrom I felt welcome.

Great customer service with Monica at the hand bag department! She went above and beyond to track down a hard to find hand bag for me! Spend lots of time on the phone calling for me! I will for sure coming back to see her for my future needs!

The staff are cold and aloof, the whole time we were in the store they stood behind the sales desk on there phones with an air of judgement. The store was in disarray, with sizes all over the place and a strong Winners feel to the presentation, except you're paying Holt Renfrew prices. You'd think all of the staff could at least spend some time tidying up if they didn't want to interface with customers. Skip it and head to Nordstrom or Holt Renfrew for a much better experience.

Superb customer service skill! Was greeted and welcomed by Monica! I was looking for some gift idea for a family member, Monica not only went through all the style I was looking for, but she also made sure I got the best deal I could get. I will definitely come back to see her again!

Similar to holt, has higher end clothing and accessories with big designer names. Can often find things here that normal designer brands won't hold (usually out of season). Great for the above average shopper

Went here during the holiday season to buy gifts for my family and friends. I was only going to buy a few things from here since I wanted to shop around the mall, but the girl who helped me, i believe her name is Monica, gave me the best customer service experience ever! I ended up buying everything i needed from this particular location since she was very patient and kind enough to answer my questions and show me everything. Thanks again Monica for ALL the help, i hope youll stay here for awhile so i can come back again to buy more stuff!

I'm still warming up to the mall vibe of this store, but the service on my last visit was truly great. I went in for a new bag (since defecting from LV, see my one star review of their dumpster fire at Chinook for a good time). I digress.

My experience at Saks was great, Monica in handbags was SO polite and SO helpful, making sure I had exactly what I was looking for and that it was perfect - I will definitely shop with her again.

It's no Holt's though, so -1 for that.

I had a craving for chocolate particularly white chocolate which I was able to get in small brick form. For anyone interested the chocolate freezes nicely. I would break the blocks up into the small pieces the block was scored into. Put the small pieces in a baggie and freeze. Just take however many pieces you want to eat and put the rest back in the freezer. The pieces of frozen chocolate melt slowly on your tongue. Don't actually know about the darker chocolate as it was just the white I was interested. I believe I did buy other types of chocolate but

Located in the old Sears location it has some of the same product as Nordstrom and Holt Renfrew but somehow has the most depressing lighting in the mall. It's like they kept the lighting from Sears. It's weird to see a $3000 bag displayed under Sears lighting. It's a good place to shop it you don't like being pestered by employees because they probably won't talk to you unless you need something. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but you know some lady named Susan is probably gonna write a bad review saying she wasn't approached by an employee.

I may not be the demographic that the Saks brand is looking to impress however I was surprised by the preoccupation of staff and their phones. I visited the store last Friday and the first six staff that I passed were on their phones. From the cosmetic counter at the entrance, the two alcoves to the side and the first person I passed in shoes, everywhere I could see were staff on phones. The second person in shoes came over quickly to see if I needed help. I did not bother to look around as I was put off from the general indifference. I may nor have been there to fill a closet, but I was needing a pair of shoes for a formal event and instead left and found a pair elsewhere.

Great place to find niche fragrances. Talked to a lady who had in depth knowledge about Hermes products and Sam who helped me find the right Creed perfume. Couldn't imagine a better experience!

Was looking for some mens products here. Had a question but when I looked there were unfortunately no staff in the mens section. They were all kinda grouped up near the women's shoe area. When I went up asking If they could help me one of the ladies gave me great service. Just wish staff sticked to areas for better assistance.

Clean and elegant with a soft side, store is very well laid out and very clean, you can actually find some great deals here. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, not too busy but I like that, wide array of products and just all around fun to ship at and guys the girls are very pretty lol.

We were looking for my Mother of the Bride dress last Saturday afternoon. Casually searching the formal dresses where we found a few we liked. We looked for a sales associate to set up a fitting room. We had a difficult time getting Jenny's attention as she was pre-occupied by her phone. We had to approach her and explain what we needed. She was not friendly nor pleasant. Jenny took the few dresses and left. We continued to look around the store when Natalie, another associate, asked if she could help us. She was helpful, pleasant and totally great! We wanted to continue to work with Natalie because Jenny was no where to be found and we felt that Natalie could assist us better (as she was listening to what we wanted). When Jenny finally came back to us she explained that we had to "stay with her" as this was store policy. So we apprehensively followed Jenny to the dressing room where she lectured my daughter, the bride, on store policy. Jenny did not take us around the store showing us the merchandise. Jenny also explained the store's promotion over and over again. Frankly, we weren't interested in hearing this more than once but she continued, becoming annoying. Frustrated because she wasn't listening to what were saying about the dress we were searching for. Then another client came into the dressing room area and Jenny then ignored us. We spent the rest of our fitting time huddled in the dressing room as the family in the mirrors would not share the space while Jenny looked on and said nothing; well not in english anyway. We left Saks with a very disappointing experience. We proceeded to another store where I bought my dress. Never thought this would happen in a Saks Fifth Avenue Store. Regrettably, Carla Ramsey
