Salisbury Greenhouse

We have bought plants and supplies at Salisbury for more than 20 years and have always been happy with the quality and selection but I wanted to submit this feedback because of a recent experience. Two weeks ago my wife wanted to buy some “fuzzy gloves” to use for wiping/dusting the leaves of indoor tropical plants. Salisbury were out of stock but were expecting a new shipment shortly. On Thursday I called to ask if they were in yet. I spoke with Barbara, who said they were not in yet but she would be working Friday to Sunday and would call me if they came in. I hadn’t heard anything by the following Tuesday so I called and was told they had just arrived (and yes, they would set aside two pairs for me). I had just got off the phone when it rang and Barbara was calling from home on her day off to let me know that she heard they were in. That is the kind of customer service I rarely see anymore! Thank you Barbara and Salisbury Greenhouse!

Went for a Whoville Tree class. The instructor and helpers were amazing. It was a wonderful time and my tree looks great.

I LOVE Salisbury! A great stop for seasonal decorations, outdoor plants, or indoor plants. I love poking around to see all the indoor plants they have, and seeing artists displays or the farmers market is definitely a plus.

If you like rare plants, Salisbury often has a fair few hidden gems!

A decent selection of plants but many are very expensive. The only plants that were a decent price were the herbs (2.99 per plant).

You can also buy ladybugs for $29.99. We came to buy a plum tree but they were WAY more expensive than anywhere else ($170+)

Well we were killing time as to be at the Glenwood Cemetery for a funeral so prices were fair to city standard as we are from an hour southeast of Sherwood Park

Great greenhouse to grab some items for the garden. They have a wide selection of seeds, pots, and gardening tools. You can pre-order your hanging baskets and tomato plants ahead of schedule.

Lots of every thing you would like to put in an around the yard lots an lots of things to brighten up every thing thanks for your great staff very helpful

This is a all in one nursery. Knowledgeable staff and huge area for plants, garden tools and equipment.you can also find tropical plants and fruits such as Hibiscus, papaya tree, Guava, pineapple and Passion fruit etc.

(Edit after response) yeah i don't know about that, I will need to really think about whether or not my self respect is worth 20$. I'm glad you are changing your policy but when I heard in more detail how my spouse was treated from three different perspectives it really comes down to we don't feel welcome there However I understand how a negative review can effect a business so I will be changing it to a 3 star as you tried.also I have a copy of my original review if you would like it.

Young lady at front till was not very nice. Love the greenhouse but will no longer be coming back. Did not feel welcome at all. And was denied being able to use spouses membership. It will be canceled today. Extremely unhappy.

The staff and product is the best in the region. We purchased two fruit trees from our them, and the knowledge and warranty far surpasses anyone else. If you want to go to a place where they jump to service you, understand what you need this is the place.

Today there was a dude with long dark hair and a beard and he had the best information about the plants I was looking at he really made my day!
I can't wait for the bigger jasmine plants to mature and I'll be back to purchase one.

The prices were absolutely insane and many of the succulents looked terrible. The pricing signage for small tropicals and 2” succulent pots was also very misleading. I have been shopping at Salisbury for well over 20 years, but their pricing has become ridiculous and the quality of plants isn’t there for the price. I’ll be finding another greenhouse.

Awesome “how to make a terrarium” class taught by Jessica. She had excellent knowledge, was super helpful and had a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed this class and will definitely take it again.

We went to see the Gallery Walk. Saw a number of pieces we liked. We chatted with both the featured artists which was a pleasure. As usual so many lovely plants. We will be back.

Nice shop but every time I come here, without fail, I end up waiting in line for a very very very long time.

First time to visit.what a great effort. Poinsettia gifts and card were purchased and much appreciated.

I worked at the garden Center for 15years.
I didn't appreciate the smells of the greenhouse until I was gone.
I miss the nice greenhouses fresh air and they smell of soil and flowers!

A really great place to find healthy and unique houseplants. If only their prices weren't so steep I would be giving 5 stars.

Good selection of healthy plants and decorative items such as faux succulents and artifical blooms.

If there's one thing about this place to like it's the staff. Always busy working but will never flinch when it comes to helping a customer. Prices seem fair and a good selection of everything for outside. They've even helped us out once with quick delivery of gravel to finish up a small project. Again.the staff are very helpful which makes this place easy to shop at.

Pricey, especially the decor items, but good selection overall. Some staff are knowledgeable and most are very friendly and helpful.

If you go there at 8 am, you can miss the line-up as it usually is a busy place. Great customer service and a wonderful selection.

Always a must come gardening season to wander around and see what's new -
Large Variety of annual and perennial flower's and plant's -
They have only begun to receive tree's, shrubs, evergreens and perennials -

I bought a tropical plant when they were on sale and brought back thrips back home. The greenhouse knew about this infestation but they failed to inform me about it which has put all my other plants at risk. Now I have to use pesticide and do a lot of work to GE rid of those. I will never purchase anything from this greenhouse again. Their tropicals are all infested!

Absolutely love this place any time I can get there. They have a spectacular selection of plants, trees and accessories. Prepare to spend a few hours if you go.

My go to greenhouse. Lots of friendly, helpful staff. They have a large assortment of indoor tropical plants, as well as all your seasonal needs when it warms up. I usually get shrubs elsewhere, as they seem to be more competitively priced. In the end its still my go to, and my son enjoys the trip everytime.

I bought some plants and a scrubber. When I got home and looked at my receipt I noticed that the sales person did not charge me for the scrubber. I went back to the greenhouse, I told the lady at the counter, she said "oh ok" and then charged me the $3.66 for it. I was alarmed that she did not say anything else, nothing like thank you for your honesty. I could have been like many others who would not have returned to pay for the item, but that is not who I am.

One of the best greenhouses I’ve been too! Huge selection of tropical plants, indoor/outdoor decor, clothing and cute socks too! Finally got my hands on a plant I’ve been searching for at this greenhouse. Can’t wait to come back again

Great farmers market Thursday's at the greenhouse plus you get to be around all the plants. So nice to see so much green. Lots of gifts and yard items as well.

I love visiting this location to get my Indoor plants, there's a lot of different plants that you can't find on other greenhouse, lots of option aswell.

Love, love this greenhouse. Amazing selection of plants and very professional staff. I travel almost an hour just to go to this greenhouse.

Beautiful place, fun to go, lots of space for distancing. Great they have the farmers market there on Thursdays.

I love this place. One of, if not the best greenhouses in Edmonton area. Vast selection. Friendly knowledgeable staff. And all around great environment to spend time in.

Salisbury is my FAVOURITE greenhouse. There is an abundance of plants to choose from, the staff are very helpful, and any of the plants I have purchased from salisbury have done very well once I have brought them home. Very happy with all of my salisbury purchases and would highly recommend salisbury to anyone looking to buy a beautiful healthy plant

Lovely local greenhouse with good selection of plants and other gardening supplies. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Workshops are fun and worthwhile.

Amazing selection of tropicals with some great mature plants, good pot and ornament selection also. BUT every plant I've bought in the past few months though has come with mealybugs, on everything from lush hanging baskets to tiny pre-bonsais. I know it's not always possible for a greenhouse to spot or even effectively treat mealybugs but.every single plant, though? All fifteen, twenty of them? My friend as well also has mealys on her plants bought from here. It makes it very difficult because the selection is tempting but at the same time if you have a huge plant collection it is quite a risk to introduce these. I certainly wouldn't buy anything that couldn't stand up to the many rounds of insecticide you may have to resort to to solve this problem. Be careful y'all!

Beautiful greenhouse. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and lots of choices. Quite expensive.

Visited the Farmers Market for the first time this evening, it was a nice atmosphere - the vendors are super helpful and friendly. What really topped off the experience was the gentle light and of course being surrounded by plants. Planning to return again soon! I've been to Salisbury a few times before and it was always such a great experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Went during a weekday, little to no crowds, they had a great selection of live small potted Christmas trees. All their holiday ornaments were on sale, nice bonus!

Charming place! Love the farmers market that is hosted here. I also remember coming here once when I was much younger and I was extremely delighted to rediscover this place after moving back

I talked to three different staff members regarding different questions I had while I was here. Unfortunately they all had sour moods and were unfriendly.

The only person that was helpful identified herself as a "seed rep" and not an employee.

Family owned businesses in Sherwood park should take more pride in customer service. But what I do I know; I'm just trying to spend my money.

Absolutely a wonderful place, great plants. Almost all the staff are wonderful, had one bad experience with a blond lady at the till. She was very rude but the rest of the staff are amazing and will always have the answer for any question.

Love the plants selection and how friendly the staff are! The advice given has always been spot on and my dog loves going to smell all the plants.

Great space. Tons of variety. The growers really care for the fruits of their labor. High quality plants with expert knowledge to accompany the purchase.

One of my favorite places to buy plants. Came here a couple years ago for a class, and the plant addiction was in full force. None of my plants (thus far) have come home with bugs or infestations. Lots of selection, and super friendly staff to help out.

Went for a class on making a Christmas urn of greens. Staff members were excellent and helpful. Turned out great, would go again and will recommend it to others.

Staff is very knowledgeable and understanding, even for those who know nothing about plants. They have a large selection for both indoor and outdoor. They also have a seasonal decorations that are fantastic.

What a waste of time. Went there on Sunday and it was so empty. Hardly any small plants just big ones that are hundreds of dollars. Most of the succulents were dying and couldn’t find a single snake plant. What happened to this place? It used to be so much better

Great selection of plants and other items. Even just a great place to go with your dog to sit and relax with all the plants. Prices for the most part are decent.

Staff was very knowledgeable and assisted me in finding exactly what I was looking for! Beautiful, inviting atmosphere.
