Sal's Restaurant & Pizza (Formerly Il Forno)

SAL'S it's like a little piece of Italy a great vacation at home. The service is wonderful welcoming and always timely. The menu has a good variety of choices, and the food is always good authenic italian flavors, lovley wine. I always follow with a nice desert and an expresso. Highly recommend for a night out.

Over the past year, food has been very spicy and tastes more like indian and italien. Used to love this place but the sauces and soups are no longer good.

Food is great, we had pizza and appetizers. But the service was so incredibly slow it took the entire evening. We arrived shortly after 6 and didn’t get our pizzas till after 8 pm. Spent a total 3 hours in the restaurant and they weren’t that busy. Very disappointed.

My husband and I were visiting Canmore last week and decided to try the Il Forno restaurant in Canmore. The food was average at best and the service was poor. The fellows attending to guests were quite preoccupied with their technology and phones and didn’t notice guests lined up in the entry. I approached the back area to announce our reservation and to ask if we might be seated. Our server barely said a word to us our entire visit. Overall, our experience was unfortunately and not at all what we expected.

We ordered from them tonight and they forgot an item and called immediately. The lady was super nice and apologized and had the item sent over. Food was delicious as always.

Enjoyed dinner here with a large party. Luckily they had great discounts on appetizers and wine that night. Enjoyed the calamari appetizer and the salmon entree was pretty good (a little overdone, but flavour was good). Other meals and apps looked yummy. The owner was our server and he was very personable. 4 stars instead of 5 since the location is a bit off beat, and the ambiance is a bit industrial park, but the food was good and, of course, they fit in our large party!

Wonderful Italian restaurant in Airdrie Alberta. The second floor (elevator available) has a sit down style restaurant. The first floor is a pizza place with more limited seating. The staff was friendly, food was great. This was the first time we went here and we will definitely be back. They are open for dinner during the week. Seafood and vegitarian meal options are available.

Thank you for the incredible staff lunch we had today. Everyone raved about the pasta dishes. Awesome serve as well.

Enjoyed a bottle of Masi, an appetizer and a main course for $55.00. The service was excellent. This was my 3rd visit. Anytime we are in Airdrie, we will go back!

I have not eaten in the restaurant, so I can't rate the service and atmosphere. I ordered a take out pizza once, best pizza ever, tasted like authentic Italian food. It's tucked out of the way from the main street, so I usually don't think of that place (even though they have a large neon sign advertising it). I tried going there for dinner a few months ago, but it was on one of their regular closed days. I'm definitely going to try and go when they're open and dine in.

Lol. It's almost comical how brutal the spaghetti and meatballs are. Ancient frozen meat balls. Uncooked pasta. No flavor could go on and on. Another Airdrie dump
