OMG we love Sammy's. My boys and I have Sammy's Donairs probably 2-3 times/month and have been for a few years now. We have had a lot of donairs in the city and other cities. We all agree that Sammy's are the best. The guys here make them to perfection. They accommodate all our preferences. For us there is no comparison. Plus I must add how friendly the owners and staff are. I always always have a laugh with them and always leave very happy. THANK YOU! We Love You guys!

Sammy's! What's happening? I've been ordering from you for 5 years now and things are slowly going downhill. My last 3 orders have been below par. My most recent order was a Donair and a ham and pineapple for the grandkids. The donair had 3.5 tiny pieces of tomato. All the sauce was at the bottom. Lettuce was normal. 2/5. The pizza didn't taste the same. Disappointing all the way around.

Update: After a pleasant and genuine conversation with the Manager about my concerns, I ordered from Sammy's once again and everything was perfect! 5 stars!

Pizza was ok. When we called at 5: 30 to order for pickup, we were told an hour until the pizza would be ready, so we ordered and showed up at 6: 15. Went into the store and ended up waiting until 6: 50 for the pizza. I think they forgot to make one of the pizzas. I did ask the people at the store if that was the case and they said no. The one pizza was cooked as per pictures online, but the other was not cooked as thoroughly. I am skeptical if I will go back to the Bannister road location.

If you love to wait 2hrs and 15mins for your order and when it arrives both pizzas are not what you ordered then this is the pizza place for you. Save your time and your money

Always enjoyed the pizza. New phone system is troublesome. 3 times I have waited more than 15 min, I hung up twice and waited to order once. I did not think I was ordering at a peak time, maybe I was wrong but it will influence me the next time.

Ordered pizza at 5pm, get called back 2.5 hours later to be told our pizza won't be coming. Absolutely terrible customer service.

2 stars because the pizza is delicious. However, the staff do not wear masks or have them only half-on. Sorry folks, there is a provincial mandate to wear masks. If you can't follow that, what other health regulations are you not following - COVID or food safety-related? Really poor management.

I gave them a second chance, thinking the first time maybe it was a one off. The second time I went back, even more staff weren't wearing masks.

Sammys food is really, really good. Their time management however, not so much. We ordered at 5: 15 and it took over an hour and a half to get large pizza and a side of wings delivered on a Wednesday night. We were told it would be an hour. When the food arrived it was cold and we had to reheat to eat. This is the second time ordering delivery, second time food was really late. Sorry Sammys, not good enough.might be time to support another local biz.

The pizza is simply ok, not as good as I was expecting for what I paid.
I had to repeat myself multiple times to the girl who took my order, which is really no surprise since all I could hear over the phone was a loud personal conversation happening right next to her. I am extremely disappointed in the delivery driver. Not only did it take forever but the pizza was cold when we got it and we were overcharged.my husband tipped on top of it so he ended getting himself a $15 tip.for pizza and delivery service that was incredibly meh.
I am beyond disappointed and upset that I wasted my money. I am not a picky or harsh reviewer but this was a horrible experience and I will never order from here again.
Wish I would have just stuck with my Dominos.much cheaper, faster, fresh and hot! Lesson learned.

The pizza is amazing and it is so busy at 6pm on a Friday night. A mix up with the bills but it was fixed right away.

The pizza is always awesome. Everyone has their favorite, and this is ours because it's delicious and consistent. 5 stars.

I ordered for the first time today and I ordered a large donair. He made me a super and charged me a super price. The sauce tastes like mayonnaise and not your typical sweet sauce, it wasn't sweet at all. I won't be back anytime soon.

All I'm going to say is that if you DON'T get the donair pizza, you're making a mistake. It's absolutely amazing!

Pizza is great, but Sammys is a victim of its own success. It just can’t keep up with orders, especially on weekends. Order during the week only. Try somewhere else on weekends.

Great pizza! Only gave a 4 because of how long it takes to get your order. Took 1 hour and 10 minutes from the time we called in our order. Pizza is worth the wait though.

I really like this place. They are always very friendly on the phone, even though they are so busy. They always answer all of my allergy questions, even going to read labels when needed. They also have big gluten free pizzas instead of just the normal small size most pizza places carry. Got one half and half today. It was great! Thank you!

Pizza is great, way more filling than most pizza I've tried. Could be because they don't use tiny little circle pepperonis nstead it is a massive piece of pepperoni under the cheese that is the size of the whole pizza, I really liked that.

This is very likely the best pizza you will get in south Calgary! The price might seem expensive compared to the franchises, but it's not. The quality, the taste and the amount of toppings is worth it, and you'll eat half of what you normally eat from anywhere else. The only reason this is not 5 stars is the time it takes for delivery or pickup. It's still worth it, but plan on 80 minutes for delivery or 45 minutes for pickup.

One of the better pizzas in this city. You get what you pay for it Sammy's. It is not a cheap pizza but it's worth every penny you pay.

Ordered their delicious Veggie Nightmare and Donair Fingers. 1 hr wait, and when I arrived they informed me they dropped my pizza on floor and had to remake it. That was a pain after waiting so long, but I was offered free wings and a bottle of pop for the inconvenience. Great customer service, and best pizza in town. Wait times are a little long, but thats because everyone is ordering it. Definitely a go to if you like a good pizza pie.

I am shocked about this place. Not only did we wait two hours for the pizza but THEY FORGOT TO DELIVER ONE AND MESSED UP THE ORDER OF THE PIZZA WE DID GET! The “Manager” on the phone made it a point to remind us he was from Calgary consistently and that we can just pick up the pizza ourselves, even though we paid to have it delivered. He said it was because we were close enough but still too far away for them to deliver and of course they were too busy, we realize you were busy we waited 2 hours for the order. They also wouldn’t refund the order. The customer service is embarrassing and the manager is an absolute joke.

This is my dads place my dad works from his heart and I only get to see him twice a week he comes home at 2 in the morning and never get to see him, he works hard to feed everyone.and yes it might be long till you get his food but you should just see when we call its really busy in there and my dad try to be nice to every person who walks in there.and always keeps his words.

Pizza pie was soo good it’s hard writing this review with one hand. Hot and ready with a crispy crust leaving me speechless how good the pie is from here. I recommend this place who wants a pie made perfect. The service is amazing here too, they attend to me right away as I walked in. I give 5 stars to the cooks and the staff, come and try this place once you won’t regret it.

Service is rude and slow. Back in December I provided feedback in a customer feedback form, explaining my awful experience. The owner (?) sent me an email back “apologizing” saying he would offer me a free pizza.it’s March and he has yet to reply as to how I get this pizza. I did finally try it on my own and honestly not worth the LONG LONG wait (like over an hour and a half, and this wasn’t even the weekend) and rude staff. Would not recommend.

Pizza is amazing! Plenty of toppings and the crust I'd delicious. The toppings stay on the pizza so your not picking them all off your plate. And the guys who work there are super friendly!

Sammy seriously cares about his customers and what they eat. His work ethic and desire for quality is truly commendable, with a great attitude and seemingly good work atmosphere (I can't say for certain because I haven't worked for him, but there is an open window into the kitchen). The place in always clean and very aesthetically pleasing, a great place to either stay and eat (at least for aesthetics as mentioned previously, the location I know is rather small) or wait for your order. The staff are always friendly and quick, as well as very professional. When it comes to the pizzas, Sammy doesn't skimp on the quality. As a vegan I find it hard to find a good place for pizzas, but Sammy's is the best I've encountered. At most places ordering without cheese leaves the pizza looking quite bare, Sammy actually loads it with all you could want, and you probably wouldn't even guess there's no cheese if you just looked at it. I have a personal story that also shows his commitment to giving the best to his customers. While my mom was ordering in for pickup, she thought to ask if they would accept a bag of our favourite vegan cheese if we bought it fresh from the store and unopened. They did and after running to the store to grab some Sammy cooked it far better then I've ever been able to! So Sammy really cares about what he's giving to his customers and the quality of it while also being open to all kinds of customer requests (just don't go badgering him about every little thing, the man works hard).

World's greatest pizza I have no idea, but I will say the young girl who answered the phone needs to find a job that's not in customer service. 90 minutes wait for food i can understand, but telling me delivery will add another 2 plus hours wait when I live 20 minutes from your restaurant. You keep your pizza and I'll keep my money.

We really enjoyed the two pizzas and garlic bread we ordered. I have to have my food hot so always pick up. I was told it would be 65 mins but is was closer to 90 min. I totally understand as it was Halloween. Skip the dishes seemed to be getting their order right away so I felt like I was being pushed to the back of the line. The toppings were plentiful and I love the edge and crust being a little crunchy. (I can't stand soggy crust) it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for. We will definitely be ordering again from here.

Sammy's has such fabulous Pizza. If you haven't tried it I recommend it. Sammy's is located in the south of the City just off on Macleod Trail. You can pick up and they deliver.

For a pizza joint, they should have alot of dough prepared for pizza, have called on several occasions where they have NO dough! Seriously on a Friday night at 7 Pm. Would not recommend

Great as usual. Got a large vegetarian nightmare with cooked tomatoes added, plus 12 hot wings. For $41.10 pick up. The best pizza around.

In from out of town, so we decided on dining in are hotel. We ordered a lasagna, salad and boneless wings. I asked the person over the phone to ensure there was fork and knife to eat the food cause we are in hotel, and ask for side of peppers and pram.
Once are order finally showed up an hour and half later, they changed us 3.00 for spoon and knife, 3.00 for peppers and pram and a delivery charge.
If I’m going to be nicked and dine like that, I would have rather eat in there restaurant so I won’t be charged for all the extra things people use in restaurant and don’t get charged.
As for the food, it was over all ok for the items we ordered.
