Samurai Ramen & Sushi

Food was amazing, lovely presentation, quality was extremely impressive. Would definitely recommend if craving sushi.

The sushi and ramen here is excellent. Service was extremely efficient and perfectly polite. For a small little place, I was very surprised and impressed with the quality of food and I look forward to visiting again.

Very friendly staff, and the food was so delicious I couldn’t believe it. This truly is a hidden gem, and I can’t wait to come back!

I regrettably give 2-stars. I feel this restaurant is below average for its food service. I regrettably give 2-stars because the hostess was amazing. I personally hate most female servers as they're no good, I hate tipping because of them, but the lady was so open, kind and genuine, while helpful and on task she made the experience worthwhile and i was compelled to leave her a big tip despite I usually hate tipping.

The food, however, was dreadful. I've never had sushi so bad. It made Safeway grab-go seem like 5-star sushi. I'm not going to bother with a detailed description of bad it was, nothing about it was enjoyable or redeeming. Sushi is my favorite food and I get the best feeling from eating it, but this sushi felt like a chore to eat, as if grandma was forcing me to eat her grule.

It was my first time there and I wouldn't go back, but it may serve other dishes well, but I doubt it.

The best food I've ever had is their MOTOYAKI. You can't just get it in any all you can eat sushi place. This is the best! Highly recommended

I thought I had tasted the best ramen in Calgary but I was wrong this place is easier on my wallet and taste the best I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I order it on Uber eats when I’m too lazy to go but highly recommend you go in person, as they give each person a treat for dining in. Not gonna spoil the surprise but I do order it now as well because it’s sooo delicious one ain’t enough.

Samurai sushi is very consistent with the quality and freshness of their fish. Whether it's take out or dine in the food has always been good.

Leaves a bit to be desired, the Ramen was slow to come out, flavor wasn't phenomenal.

Had a really enjoyable experience at this little sushi place. The food was excellent and fresh. The tea was delicious. The service was lovely and the server friendly with a very calming demeanour. It was a quiet day with few patrons and I think more people need to try out this great little place. I hope you all have as nice an experience as we did.

Ordered the seafood udon for takeout and I was kind of disappointed. They left the small pieces of shrimp, calamari, and scallops in the hot broth instead of with the noodles so they were overcooked, rubbery, and hard to chew. I enjoyed the authentic flavour but considering the small portion and the small number of seafood, it was not worth $16 to me. Really nice staff though, and the wait time is pretty good too.

This is a long overdue review: What a awesome restaurant, I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The food is incredible here. Never had a bad dish! You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Sashimi, Sushi, Roles, Tempura and all the soups are great! You will not be disappointed coming here. Also it is very well priced for the impeccable quality of the food.

Small simple looking place. The food is usually perfect though. Decent ramen, fresh noodles and tasty broth. Presentation was lovely and also given an amuse bouche before the meals. I strongly recommend trying this place

I LOVE THIS PLACE! This little hole in the wall is our favorite restaurant to visit for a quick bite when coming into the city, to satisfy my husband's love of spicy Ramen and my love of sushi, dumplings and tempura shrimp. Honestly. The prices are great and the service is always welcoming and quick. So great. Will always come back here!

SOME OF THE BEST SUSHI I HAVE EVER HAD! The sashimi was thick.the Mango Scallop roll had a Half of a scallop on each roll which included 8 pieces. The batter on the tempura was crispy, flaky and hot when it arrived. They didn't skimp on the ginger wasabi and soy sauce. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. I found my new place for the best sushi in Calgary. I hope you find yours here too!

Great service and good sushi. Small restaurant busy with take out orders but the one server did a great job. Food was good but rolls seem expensive. Missing the 5th star for cleanliness and number of things out of stock (tofu, bean sprouts)

Ordered through Door Dash, waited 45 minutes then the restaurant cancelled my order saying that they closed early. Will not order from here again. Terrible service.

Nice local restaurant. Their ramen was clumpy and not chewy. The broth was really good and brings the overall ramen from a 3 to a 4

I take my family to this place quite often! This is my favorite restaurant to grab a bite. I visit this spot frequently. The food is fantastic, the staff members are polite and the payment is reasonable. I like going in this spot for a tasty supper.

They offer a great variety of fresh food. I like dining here. Staff members are always very nice, rates are convenient and the place is always clean.

This is my go to sushi place in the city. Not only are the portions decent, but the taste as well is worth it. Be sure to order ahead of time though if you stop in on Fridays or weekends. We always have to order the Sushi pizza, something about that appetizer always taste so good.

Tried a while ago, friendly and fast service but we didn't really care for the food. Found it bland, we tried noodle bowls.

This Restaurant only cares about taking your money $$$ they don't care about customer service or giving good treatment to regular customers. They treat you bad and disrespectful.

The tonkotsu broth tasted good. Needs a lot more seaweed (a whole sheet) and better presentation if they want to stay competitive.

I had the pleasure of trying Samurai take-out. I wasn't particularly hungry and I expected it to be like all the other Ramen I've tried but I couldn't be more wrong. It was absolutely the best I've had so far. The Samurai Ramen is their most expensive ramen bowl but it was absolutely worth it and I already want to go back for more. 100 percent recommend this fantastic place.

Ordered here about a week ago on skip the dishes as i have been craving sushi. The food was excellent. Nice and fresh I had sashimi, sushi and sushi rolls and miso soup. Nice sized portions and everything was fresh and delicious.highly recommended.

Ordered delivery, it arrived pretty fast but 2 of the rolls had completely fallen apart during transit. The rolls were way smaller than I expected for the price and the rice was hard and dry- like it was old from a few days ago.
Super disappointing. This was our first time eating from here and we chose the place based off of reviews. Maybe dine-in is different, but I wouldn’t recommend take out/delivery. Won’t be ordering again!

Honestly, we are super disappointed.
The rolls are TINY for the price. The rice was hard and dry. And presentation was terrible. The rolls were falling apart and lacking ingredients. I suggest you AVOID this place. We will NEVER order again. Such a waste of money.

I like this spot! They provide sensational dishes, their menu is large, The chef in that place is a real pro, I like a lot eating all their food.
