Sanjha Punjab Grocery Store

I bought some groceries yesterday and today I checked and they were expired. I even tried calling them twice but no one answered. They sell you expired food as well the smell from the bag was brutal.

Usually able to find anything in this store that we can't find in other Desi grocery stores.

I went there on Thursday.no help.everyone is doing stuff and shoving past you. I had wanted to rab a few things bit everyone was so busy talking and playing ans just being very obnoxious sounding.i left.everytime I go to this store I always get this bad service.

This is there third time buying coconut and it’s rotten inside.they sell it for higher price.at least the quality is should be good.when you say to their staff their ready answer perisable is not returnable as per policy.

Today i bought frozen curry leaves from shanja Punjab, after coming back home i opened the pack and was extremely disappointed with the product, curry leaves were completely black and ended up wasting almost 3.49 dollars, it's Vadilal curry leaves 100 grams

We went there to shop this morning. We usually go to OK food, Apna punjab (Fruticana). We wanted to try a different store as we were late for work. The Lady (Maybe the owner) she literally was not happy (had a long face) or maybe fought with her husband. Very bad customer service. Will never come back again!
Stay away from these Thieves!

Be careful when you shop here.lot of expired stuff on shelves like kalonji (Black seed) oil besides many others. They just scratch off the date and year and put it right back on the shelf. Everything is over priced.

I been shopping groceries from this store for last 6years+. But never asked for return or refund for bed service or product. Recently bought an propane gas burner stove and found it out it’s been leaking gas and could cause serious accident. So I been contact with them and able to talk to owner or manager (Joti). He said he will exchange or return the product when I will bring it to any of the branches. After that I been already 4 times to the store and each of the time they have given me different excuses. Yesterday I found joti again and he said just he will return or exchange the product. So I will bring the product in 15-20 minutes. And I request him to inform his employee about his promise. But again the same experienced happened, that specific employee start to asking all the history again and said I will not exchange it even he promised me. Then he said i m going to check the product inside it may take around 5 minutes. But he he came out after around 30 minutes and saying that he can’t do it at the moment they don’t have gas to check it. He said come back later on or leave the product to them. I again said your owners promise me he will exchange it. Can you please call and double check that with him. He called infront of me and as like as before the owner didn’t keep his promise. What a great customer service experience I got!

I always buy veggie and other desi stuff from this store and today as usual I bought desi stuff and two coconuts. The coconuts had rust and fungus inside. It was soft like sponge. I throw both of them to the garbage. Very disappointed

Is ok but prices are so so i think they overcharge than actual price and customer service is lacking

Customer service of this store is bad. I have been their quite a few time and they never greet you or smile at you. They always look like they are angry that we are in store and buying groceries. I don’t know why they are always upset. Worker always talk to each other and will never respond to you unless they have to tell you the total of the stuff you are buying.

If store owner is reading this please try to improve your customer service. If your employees will look happy and greet the customers. I think people would love to come back and shop more.

Smaller store with all you need and like, with fresh veggies, quality food items, top of all good staff, visit the place, really worth.

You can find many Indian food items here. But it is bit expensive compared to other stores. Found most of the product which are available at other superstore on higher price.

I got rotten vegetables from here which costed me $8 per piece. It looked heathy from outside but was complete rotten from the inside. It was an utter waste of money i would never go back there.

Lots of Indian variety food stuffs vast choices including fresh vegetables and fruits but little congested

Reasonable Indian store. Some items are very high priced, just like every other Indian store.

Sanjha Punjab was always a quick stop for any Indian groceries. You can almost all varieties of Indian veggies at reasonable prices, sometimes it's cheaper than the other bigger grocery stores.

Good variety of Indian foods. Affordable vegetables and fruits. Only that this is too cramped a place, narrow aisles and almost always overcrowded.

Not at all friendly staff, overcharged and didn't price match for the same product which was on flyer. Don't want to come again in this store and suggest you guys don't go to this store.

3. Rates for some items are comparatively cheap.

Most of the Indian spices are available here. We are very lucky to find the store as it is located very near to the station. Owner behavior was great. Such a nice gesture. Will definitely recommend to all of my friends and others.

Not disclosing the product prices over the phone this unlike in Canadian culture like other stores Walmart, Safeway, superstore etc. They try to cheat the customers here in Calgary without disclosing the prices. This cheating frequently in India but not here in Canada. All business clear and transparent in Canada. I called one time to get price but they refused when i get to store price was very high and i get disappointed by this Indian store. Please be aware by this attitude of this store.

Last week mom's rice was 9.99. Today it's 13.99
Why are you over charging at this time. I understand there is demand.but don't cheat

One of the authentic south asian grocery stores including fresh produces and pooja stuffs with reasonable price.

Expired lohri stuff with new fake stickers on it and on top of that the worst customer service. When we went back to return the stuff, owner was like it smells good, there is nothing wrong, but by the look of it it was really bad, soggy. She didn't even apologize and was making excuses not to accept returns.

Called to ask price of a sabji and the rude lady on the phone said “we don’t tell prices over the phone” and then hung up on me. What does that even mean? Customers have a right to know how much you are merchandising something before wasting their time and coming into the store. Ridiculous service.

We bought black daal, washed it and it’s lost the black colour. It was green in colour and a black colour was added. This is absolutely unacceptable standard.

I called them today the lady argued about it and said the lentil will be black when cooked, else you can bring it back.

She refused to bring her manager on the phone.

My wife always enjoys shopping here for select veggies.
A nice quick in & out ethnic foods and goods store.
Great placed for hard to find cookies as well.

An store for Indian groceries, veggies and other house hold items. Good quality products and well organized. Just opposite Canadian Superstore.

Very bad.when I buy coconut there its always got spoiled. I call the store but they hanged up.with talking.bad manners.

From the day it opened till date, my first and last location for groceries is Sanjha Punjab. Get things with fair price.

Sanjha Punjab Grocery Store is very nice place for buying Vegetables, fruits, and all kinds of Groceries.

If you want to Indian or an Asian looking for authentic Asian Indian food items this is the place you need to go

I would recommend to all indians but pricey compared to some other stores i used to go to though!

This was really a great ethnic store that we found on a vacation trip here they had a lot of items that were unmarked in English and takes a little bit of World Knowledge or asking questions to figure out exactly what it is but for anyone who's had any World Travel experience especially in the Middle East or India this is a great place to find some of the well-loved foods we found some laffa Brad as well as nice can of hummus and a few other nice things that were a reasonable price here.the owners didn't speak English really well but were still friendly and helpful

A good selection if indian grocery to choose from.

Customer service is nil and Indians are not good at that.

Too narrow to move around in a trolley if you have boxes all over. Fresh produce needs to be checked before being displayed.

Very good Indian ethnic store and great deals too. The staff is friendly and help you during the busy time.

There is a wide variety of green groceries, dry fruits, indian food. You can find almost everthing you can think of
