When I first moved to Walden several years ago, I shopped here all the time. For the most part it was okay, but on three different occasions, I purchased three types of meat (whole chicken, pork ribs and a large package of ground beef) all of which were rotten. The chicken was for a Thanksgiving dinner, but we ended up ordering food in, because it was too late to go back and get another. That was a huge disappointment as we had a group of people over to celebrate. I went today to pick up six items, four of which they didn't have. I will not be back and will continue to support Sobey's in Legacy instead. Really too bad because I'd like to support both stores, but tired of being disappointed in this establishment.

I find the food qualities has been declining for a while at Save on Food. I bought a bag a chip when I got home I open the bag and tasted the chip and they were no good, I look at the date and they were past due since Dec 31,2023 and we are now March 19,2023. Very frustrating for the price and it just end up in the garbage can. You need to be careful and read the expiration date on everything before buying, especially with the cost of food nowadays.

Very convenient location, staff have always been friendly, fairly low prices, wheel chair accessible, and a large parking lot.

Nice, clean store but the prices are outrageous! They price gouge hard and charge 3 or more times for the SAME products found elsewhere. I’ll stop here to pick up one or two things needed for dinner maybe but I avoid it as much as I can. Take your shopping else where and save yourself a ton of cash.

While a nice large clean store, i could not find most basic items my family uses, unless getting organic versions. Costs were way above my normal store. We left within 2 minutes of seeing their price for bread

The store is ok if you just need to swing by at 5pm for a thing or two. But it is constantly understaffed at the front from open till 5ish. This morning (15% off day) there were two cashiers. The store was noticeably busy. With 4-5 people in line at each till. I went to the self checkout to help lighten the load even though I had 1/2 a cart. Inevitably an error occurred which required the person to do something. There was no person. The cashier on till came over about 7 minutes later punched a bunch of buttons and them said I’d just have to wait. Another 7 minutes go by and nothing. So I pack up and get in line behind 4 new people in line. As I stand there waiting to get to the till I watvh 3 others on self checkout fall into the same purgatory I escaped. Red lights blaring and no one around.

So I do like this store, however I found a tape worm in my ground beef. I contacted the store and will leave this review as a buyer beware. I phoned the store and will return the meat. Not sure how their meat passes inspection, maybe this is normal? Never eating any meat from there again

It's convenient if I just need to stop for a couple of things, selection is decent enough for the size of the store, but I'm still waiting for Savings!

I use to buy from a different grocery store, but since the moment I walked in I just knew this is a well run store.and the friendly service is unmatched! I do recommend this store, great service and great deals! Keep it up!

I went here to buy medicine for my baby. The pharmacist on duty was really helpful. They were out of stock but he was able to call other pharmacy that would have it.

Hi management I would like to address a racist behaviour I experienced on June 4,2022. I took my groceries to cashier (name: Brookylnn) while scanning a showed her one chips which I have eaten a bit coz I was hungry I showed her so she can scan it properly but by mistake she spill all the chips. Not her fault things happen. But she send me to grab a new one. Let me tell you I just lived here don’t know where I got it from. I looked around but unable to find the same flavour for 15 min. I came back to her. He send me to Sandra the lady on the picture. He was irritated by my. On the same time I am seeing her assisting all the other customers with same kind of concern. Only difference between me and this customer was I was not white enough for her. She was smiling and treating them well. I kept my calm. She told me to go and grab a new one. I told her sorry I couldn’t find it. She went to check and bought a different flavour. I said I want same flavour that’s the reason I picked up that one. She PUNCHED the desk with her hand in anger I was shocked also infront of all customers. Imagine a person who is born in this country has to face this what about my parents who are immigrants how will people like “ Sandra” will treat them. If you have a immigrant background or family planning don’t send them to this location. I am disgusted by these propel. I can’t imagine I was working as a front line worker and putting my family life at risk them.

I am mesmerized. I could never imagine that grocery shopping would be this great until I came to this location. Quiet frankly there are a decent amount of grocery stores in the area and they simply fall SO short compared to this Save on Foods! Save On has such a wide variety of options on well known brands that I truly have never seen before! What blew me away was their selection and price on meats, I almost shed a tear. The prices overall were quite fair and even on the lower side BUT with great quality products. The place is well lit, homey, clean and the staff are friendly and in good spirits. I will literally never shop at another grocery store again.

What a beautiful store - used to go to one in Vancouver but it didn't compare to this one - such a great selection and displayed wonderfully. Love it!

Nice store that is usually well maintained. Can sometimes be a bit picked over on the first Tuesday of the month. Produce leaves a bit to be desired at times as well. Cashiers and staff are always friendly

Save on foods is slightly misleading, because you actually pay more for food here. The staff is dope and the layout is easy to shop.

My biggest gripe is the lack of bagged milk.

The produce section here is very disappointing.they dont get rid of the moldy bruised stuff.they just keep it all out there and its always a mess.rather drive to shawnessy then shop here now

Nice grocery store but the prices are typically very expensive unless there is a sale. We only shop here for last minute items and look out for flyer deals.

I love this store for the points. Especially on the first Tuesday of each month where you get 40x the points on $50 spent.

The grocery selection isn't great, and you need to watch the prices.
Produce quality is very poor. Bananas have been frozen & damaged, oranges are old & dry, and the selection is quite small.
The pharmacy staff is a shining light though, & the only reason I still go to the Saveon in Walden.

Nice clean store, it's quite new and has a nice deli. Staff is friendly and always seems happy. Prices can be quite high compared to elsewhere
