Everyone over the age of 40 that works at this Save On Foods seriously needs an attitude adjustment. They are always miserable and don’t have any customer service manners. If you don’t want to be friendly and you hate helping customers, you shouldn’t be working here. They all look so bothered every time I’ve ever asked for assistance. Need some serious attitude adjustments and need to stop eye rolling every time someone asks for help. Don’t even get me started with asking for help at check out for price matching. They get so annoyed like they’re paying for your groceries. Save on foods has price matching for a reason!
Lovely experience, I’m new to the area and checked out the store a couple of days ago with my wife was there several days ago with my wife to grab some groceries. It was was a tad on the pricey side however the customer service was excellent there was this beanpole looking boy (I mean that in the nicest way the kid was lovely) who helped me buy some shrimps for dinner along with that an middle aged gentleman promptly helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Overall it was a great place to buy groceries and I will be coming again.
If you're a member some of the prices of stuff are much cheaper, unfortunately most things are quite the opposite. But so far staff have been excellent go above and beyond expectations, and it's always a positive vibe it seems. If you need help just ask! Pleasant experience!
It has a great selection and has a bakery inside it. It has a pharmacy and things from dry foods to ready foods. They sell some utensils and household items. Staff are usually pretty slow at the till but prices are pretty good. They also have a couple of selft checkout tills.
I like to shop here. Great bakery and fresh produce. My only suggestion is to improve the selection in the meat department. No stir fry strips or stew cubes my last few visits to this location and had to go to Sobeys.
Always had great service at this store throughout the years. And Rhonda the pharmacist is amazing! Super professional, explains everything clearly, sincerely nice and kind. Thanks so much team. Keep up the good work!
Well organized friendly staff. Has a drive through pharmacy pickup. They always know who I am. I don’t know how they do it. That iseven before I tell them my order.
Only giving this one star for the worst cashier ever her name was Amanda I believe she had the worst customer service and she was very rude and treated us poorly she is very racist was treating someone else better as well very unprofessional and will make a complain to the management
I went to do some grocery shopping on the 15% the first Tuesday of the month at this location. It was busy and the shelves were already emptying out at 330pm. I knew that I would be awhile so I thought I'd also purchase the roasted chicken dinner that came with 2 sides and buns. I got home put away my groceries and started preparing dinner. The chicken was still hot so everything was ready quickly. What a disappointment! We all started eating the chicken and collectively spat it out. It was so dry and tasteless that it was not eatable. We put the chicken aside and I quickly made sausages I purchased earlier to eat. After supper I had to think of something to do with the chicken as I paid money for it and did not want to throw it out. I sliced it up made gravy and soaked the chicken with it. It was ok but still dry. I'd like to know if the chicken was made hours and hours ago that it sat so long it dried out. Someone should be doing quality control on these meals. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take any pictures. Think twice before purchasing the roasted chicken I'd hate for you to waste your money on it: (
They have completely redesigned the entire store. Makes no sense they have batteries and light bulbs at the front of the store. They put chips with the dog and cat food. I have been shopping at this location since they opened and I will now be going to other stores
My partner and I love save-on rotisserie chickens, they are usually always fresh, hot, juicy, and have amazing flavour! We went today to pick one up for our after work dinner. My partner ran in, and was a little disappointed because they all looked really charred. The person working the deli said that's what they're supposed to look like but we've never seen them that bad. My partner was reassured so picked out the least charred one and we brought it home. Well, unfortunately the wings and drumsticks were so burnt that the skin was rock hard, and the meat was so dry we couldn't eat it. I suggested taking it back but my partner was just too tired from a long day at work that he still ate the breast, although it too was incredibly dried out. We didn't think it was too late in the day to shop for hot food (about 630pm, dinner time) so figured they would be fresh. We're disappointed as save-ons chickens are the most expensive in the city and when paying more you expect great quality.
