Save-On-Foods

ALWAYS CHECK BEST BEFORE/EXPIRY DATES! Every time I go to this location, there are tons of items that are waaaay past their best before and expiry date. In Mid-October, I found Olympic Vanilla Yogurt that was on the bottom shelf from July 1. I do not want to know what that looked like inside. I know that most non-perishable items are still good after their best before, however, there is too much of that out on the floor. Donate that to food banks. Save-On is already one of the more expensive stores, if I go in with my hard-earned money, I'd like to get stuff that will last me a long time or is fresh. I know from experience that sometimes you just grab things, expecting them to be good, without checking the dates. Not sure where the issue is with this, maybe inventory? Higher management practices? No clue, but this should change. Don't want to risk having people get sick from this.
P. S. Yes, I always find staff to remove the expired items I discover. Not sure what the policies are on items that are months past their best before date, but who wants stale overpriced coffee?

There's a lot of things that I've hated about this store over the years, but the new bathroom policy is the beginning of the end with my relationship with this store. Farewell and F off.

UPDATE: I went to pay for my groceries, the cashier did not assist me with putting my groceries in my cart. (there wasn't a full cart). I am 59, with physical limitations, using a cane and leaning on my cart as I shop and waiting in the cashier line. The cashier ignored me as I put the items in the cart after paying.
Yet the same cashier actually put all the groceries of the male, standing behind me (approx 300 lbs plus, who seemed to have no physical issues).
NEED I express my views on this!? I guess Save On sells more to (not all heavy people that are heavy, are lazy) but they do buy lots more groceries.so they are catered to. I will do more shopping elsewhere.

Clean and friendly environment. Great deals certain days of the week and great keto selection of bread, food, ect

Meat section is consistently awful and never looks fresh. Steaks here are practicaly brown

Not store specific, the staff is awesome - but I can't believe the Save-on-Foods MY OFFERS programme.where you need a phone to buy food, cheaper! - we re a family of 5 and can't afford those phone-packages because.you know.current food prices.

I have been forgotten about by mostly Save On pharmacy West Lethbridge and the North Side location as well. VERY Disappointed with Vic and Mehear, as not once have they called me back, nor emailed me as to my wellness and on- going health issues. They have my information on file as to my address and phone number (s) etc.etc, for several years now, but do not care. DO NOT call yourself a pharmacy Team, when you are Not one. In my opinion, it should be Gloria and Angel who should be the pharmacists for both locations. So much for Save On pharmacies. I have a new pharmacy who actually CARES about their clients. FYI.which won't matter to either of you guys, but I am completely OFF all meds and am doing so much better. A Senior Citizen

Getting pretty pricey to shop here. Would be 5 stars if prices where lower. Clean well organized store and very friendly staff.

Excellent meat department and the produce is always top-notch. Lots of helpful staff around and the shelves are well stocked. Prices are a little bit more, like Safeway, but you get what you pay for. Lots of good sales to offset some of the other stuff.
Very clean and seemingly well managed.

I went to get some groceries. The store was very clean a d organized. People who work there had good customer service. Was difficult to her the cashier with the plastic screens up.

Great staff broke an egg and they ran back across the store at closing time to get us a new carton

All the staff are great, especially the pharmacists. They are friendly and very helpful with all your medical needs.

Save on foods is a good grocery store, they seem to have items that other grocery store dont. Example- A2 milk, can only find it at Save-On. If you dont know what A2 milk is look it up, much healthier than regualr milk, especially if you have a sensitivity to milk, lasts longer before it expires and tastes and smells better than regular milk.

Prices are going up yet grocery stores are making more and more money. Seems like their gouging us to me. How can they make more money if it's just inflation causing the prices to go up? If you really could save on more here I'd have more to say. If you use the app you can save some and get some good deals still but the price on most things especially meat is just crazy everywhere. There's only two grocery store chains in Alberta now so they're not really competing with each other anymore.

I felt staff took ownership of their role to serve their customers by removing a needle left in the parking lot. It was an unusual request as I didn't have gloves with me. I wondered if they'd be covered by WCB as well.
