I bought my aunts cake from save on foods last year and it was very dry. Also not many cake selections. Other then that. The place is clean and organized.

This store is ridiculous. Charges the most exorbitant prices compared to any other grocery store, yet out of the two wheeling baskets available, the one I grabbed had wheels that would not glide and the basket had to be dragged as soon as some milk and juice containers were added into the basket. I looked at the bottom and found that two of the 4 wheels had completely flat edges. Is it too much to ask for four round wheels on two out of two baskets?
Add to that the self check won’t allow phone number entry of membership card. It’s not very obviously posted either, just in small print on the till. With only one checkout lane opened at 4 pm on Friday November 24, we had two options: switch to the line of 5 shoppers in that lane and enter save on more card phone number, or pay at self check and spend $2 - $2.50 more on each of the things in our basket. When I mentioned my concerns to the assistant store manager on today he hardly tried to be receptive, and gave me a blank stare like I have three heads. How is it fine for a store to be so obviously invested in their profit margin during a time like this that they cannot even maintain a level of basic customer satisfaction such as having proper amounts of baskets to shop with, and adequate staff to help you check out, and information clearly posted about self checkout not allowing card phone numbers.
It seems they just want to deter people from using their own rewards card program, and I’ve never been offered a replacement card for the one I had that was worn til it was no longer scannable. Well now I’m no longer a save-on-foods shopper or long-time customer since 2009, so I guess it won’t matter! Good grief, Hollick Kenyon save-on-foods. Do better…

Not all Darrell's deals are good deals. Western family brands are not always the best quality

Great store, there are so many options from fresh cuts of meat, seasoned meats n fish. There are lots of vegetarian options too, which I really like! Fresh flowers, organic section with all natural stuff! Vegan frozen foods, too! Hot section as well with changing items daily!

Dislocation Save-On-Foods selling expired meat I bought a chicken $13 I could not use it and It was so stinky and I Throw it away It doesn't mean that you take off $2 off the price and selling bad foods make people sick or unusable

There are some items here you can't find in other stores and some items that are a great bargain.

Nicest save on in the city.they have an amazing selection for everything you could ask for in a grocery store.the interior is all very sleek and modern - i feel rich whenever i shop here lol. More Rewards deals are great as always here.friendly staff and they handle lines very quickly.love going to this store whenever im on the north side!

I had a great conversation with the baker, their bread is very fresh as they bake it everyday. Loved their unsliced bread - it was very nice to have fresh bread. Also liked that I found the hard to find (sometimes) 2% Lactose Free milk. Store looked very clean and well-organized. Some items more expensive than other places, but I always enjoy seeing my needed items on sale + getting points)

No answer for my question need to buy cake but the guy was there he doesn't know anything About the cake.

The grocery manager (Jonas or Yonas or something similar is his name) is really mean. I have had many terrible experiences from this guy, but the rest of the staff has been very sweet. A few weeks ago, I asked to check for an item and he did, so I asked to put it on hold, and he said it’s on hold for me. He did not ask for my name on the phone, and seemed mad at me for asking to hold an item. I went in store, and the item was not put on hold! So I wasted a long trip for nothing! Then recently, I was inquiring about something and he did not listen to my question at all. He kept giving his irrelevant answers without hearing exactly what I was saying. He seems so done with his job. My friends also say when they inquire about things at the store, he has said things like “we have what we have”. It is very rude. This guy ruins the experience of shopping at this store.

There are Save-On stores and then there's our save on store when I say our I mean us customers customer service is excellent management will help you with all inquiries they don't make you stand in line at customer service thanks Save On!

Always love Save-On. Don't shop here for everything but really like the specialty stuff I can't get elsewhere. Plus they have a terrific bakery lol

I would like to send an appreciation note to Steven C.in the Bakery at the 4805 167 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB location. (He was working the night shift on Nov 23rd)
He is a great example for excellent customer service. Twice so far we call to order from the bakery this month. Very accommodating, respectful, helpful, attentive to details and above all pleasant to talk to.
And of course, excellent quality desserts, tasty and visually appealing.
Keep up the Good work!

On numerous occasions have I found moldy bread in the bakery section and rotting produce. However most recently, I bought some pastries with whipped cream in the middle. Pastries were packed on Sept 5. I ate one on Sept 6. By Sept 7, the whipped cream in the pastries had gone sour. The pastries were kept in the fridge. The best before date on the package was Sept 9. Will never buy bakery, meat or produce items from this location.

In this location, an employee has not been wearing a mask during the last two months or so. Instead, she wears a face shield. She works in customer service, and she is also responsible for maintaining the self-paying area. She also walks in the store. She is always chatting and laughing, which is not advisable without a mask. I asked one of the cashiers about this issue, but the cashier could not comment.

Not as busy as the other grocery stores, but there prices explain that very clear. Almost 50% more than the rest

This particular Save-On-Foods definitely attempts to draw in a younger crowd with a more modern aesthetic fitting of a downtown location: it’s open concept with high ceilings, and contains a good amount of natural light with a clean grey and green colour scheme. As far as product availability, it can leave a little to be desired, depending on the item type. The produce selection is fine, while their fruit displays right in that Goldilocks zone of being neither over or under ripened, the bakery section is alright, but nothing amazing, the meat and deli departments are what you’d expect, and most general items are available and priced competitively. It’s with toiletries and infant products where this location falls short. The stock on baby items is quite shallow and brand selection is inferior as compared to a store like Sobeys directly across the street. There are times where you’ll struggle to find cleaning products and paper towels as well.

All in all, this Save-On-Foods is fine for most items and is nice to run over to if you live close by, but if you’re doing an entire shopping run you’ll want to run over to the 50th Street Market Sobeys instead.

Great & very helpful staff. Very clean store with giod visible arrows on floor. Price match products as long as you have a valid flyer.

Always great, always shop here, especially for chocolate ice "cream" since Safeway/Sobey's is ice "milk" & to me thats not ice cream.

This Save-On has more of an uptown, modern layout and is open concept with lots of natural light. The staff are friendly enough, but I find this location to lack quantity of products as they don’t do a fantastic job of restocking their inventory on a regular basis.

Love this grocery store, I will go out of my way to shop here although it is a tad more expensive than others. I have always had a pleasant experience coming here. Customer service is top notch, staff are friendly and helpful. The store itself is very clean and organized, and has a good selection of items. Service at the pharmacy is excellent as well.

Love Save on Foods, but the amount of times, that this particular store has stopped carrying the items i like or flat out just don't have them (Dried Banana Chips, Tamari Almonds, Mangos, Organic Siracha Sauce, Dairy Free Ice Cream, etc), has forced me to rate them 1 star. To the management: I encourage you to go and crack one of those Coconuts open and taste it. It taste like soap! (This isnt the first time.) and whats up with those Avocados? They seem like they are two weeks old.

Very impressed with variety of selection, freshness, and cleanliness of the store. Many discounts and sales available with the more rewards card. Great value, friendly staff, and quick service.

The last five reviews asked of me were all from save on foods. That must be because they know how much I Love and appreciate them and the service they provide.

Went there for water refill and apparently they charge 3.19 dollars for 18 liter bottle refill while Canadian tire at manning couple min away charges 1.49. BIG difference. My last time going to save on food since I feel their products are way overpriced

Don't work in retail if you're going to be rude and disrespectful to customers. I've been working in retail for over 7 years with plenty of bad days but was never rude to a customer.

This is now the store that serves my area for home delivery. My orders have always been accurate, they follow the directions for no substitutes, and the drivers always go through my order with me at delivery. OUTSTANDING SERVICE. The only thing missing is an in store bakery, I assume, as I am not able to get the round loaves of sour dough bread. The service more than makes up for it. Great place to shop.

This location now serves the on-line orders in my area (previously Mayfield). Great delivery, orders correct, however they don't offer the bakery items that I used to get from Mayfield, and that is very disappointing.

I like this Save-On the most out of the three grocery stores nearby. Clean, quiet, never too crowded. Staff and other customers are always pleasant.

Save on Foods a great place for groceries, what else are you going to buy here, cars or furniture or big screen tv’s no I don’t think so. I’m betting you can get food here and for a place that sells food well it’s about as good as it gets. The store is clean and well lit. It’s well stocked, everything is upscale so that means the prices are somewhat higher than other stores but the quality is great. If you have a member card then the savings can be great. I like shopping here. The staff are friendly and courteous. You can get flowers. Nice bulk food section. Lots of unique food items.

Staff are very friendly and competent.
Pricing of products is high. Even with a card/sale, each item is almost a dollar more expensive than major competitors.

This is a great place to shop. Super clean and stocked with the freshest food. Helpful friendly staff every where in the store.
