Poor customer service at tills, please remember kindness!
I was coming in early morning to buy a veggie tray. I was in a bit of a rush after the sobeys near by was closed. I told the cashier who had brown hair and about middle aged I was in a hurry, however she continued to mock me and proceeded to read the upc outloud. She saw my distress, however was not accomodating. It saddens me how someone who works in service, treats customers like this, especially during the holiday season. As someone who works also in retail, becoming caring and accomodating to the best of your ability is important. Always be kind, you never know the kind of stress someone is dealing with outside the store. Thank you.

The security guard aggressively approached my wife because she had a dollar store bag (had just shopped there) and told her she had to show him her bag when she came into the store. We wont be coming back.who the hell do they think they are? We spend our money and have never broken the law but to be treated like a criminal is just sick. Power tripping security guards seem to be a thing now.glad i wasn't there but they don't really seem to approach guys. Just old people, women and kids.

This store always has everything. Prices are not always more affordable than elsewhere. Always clean. Huge selection of products from different countries! The most delicious cakes are here!

I usually use their delivery service but my family had an appointment at the South Health Campus (next door almost) so I went in to pick up a few things.

It took me a bit to remember how to find everything, the staff was super helpful.

This is my FAV Save-On in the city. You can always tell a great management team when the employees treat customers the way they do here. So polite. Always helpful. Shelves are stocked and clean. Cashiers are friendly and have been there for years. Hardly any turn over. I always feel confident I’m buying good food too!

I do love this store, but sadly the prices aren't great. Not nearly as bad as co-op but worse them Sobeys which is nearby. Staff are also not as welcoming.

The manager of this place requires drivers to provide abstracts before job interviews, not after. Poor form Wally.

Don't use the online home delivery service for produce, everything we ordered had mold on it within 24hrs of delivery. Clearly the mid level management thinks this sort of behaviour to clear out inventory is ok. Buy your produce somewhere else.

Staff are always so helpful and friendly. I shop here frequently and have never had a bad experience.

Not my favorite grocery store even though the location is perfect. It.is extremely expensive when compared to Superstore, Coop, Safeway or Sobeys and yes it is pretty similar to all of those in terms of what they offer but I just don't get why it is so expensive. Parking outside is great and there is a Starbucks inside, other than that nothing special, just expensive and not a lot of staff to assist.

Easily the worst self serve checkouts around today.doesn't scan properly.items not found.told to not pay and then have a cashier checkout just to use their own Save On Card. Sobeys is a ton easier.save effort.left items as didn't feel like the non-scanned in items to be found

The place was clean and meats, chicken and fish were fresh plus other things too. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Visited today to buy some flowers for mother's day. The store had a great selection of products right at the entrance and I received amazing service from Lizzie. Thank you so much!

A bit more expensive than other big box stores but a nice location and descent amount of selection

I have been shopping from Walden Save On Foods since last 4 years and never had a single issue. Just moved to Seron earlier this year and this store is totally different. The produce section is not so fresh compared to the Walden. If you go to the first Tuesday of a month they will have even worse quality, limited/no quantities (may be because they have 15% of on that day). Their price match policy is weird, they would price match only one item of a kind even if the flyer has not mentioned any limit or the flyer has limit 4. The cashiers are not so friendly here. I have tried to provide feedback earlier by writing directly to customer service but it seems that the feedback was not propagated to the store as there hasn't been any change since then! Save On Foods was my primary grocery shopping destination earlier but after moving to Seton it has changed and it's going to be that way now as I don't think I will be going to this store.l!

Last few weeks have been unimpressive… I was shopping the last week of January with my children and mother in law. When we were ready to pay, we waited at a register, where the cashier and an off duty employee continued to chat it up for 10 min or so before acknowledging us. I wish I spoke up, but I’m not the type. And I get it, it’s nice to have a chat, but the cashier could have said “be with you in a moment…” but nothing. Then just last night (Feb 13,2022) my husband went to fill up 4 - 18L jugs (mind you we’ve been refilling our water here for the past 5 years) and when he went to pay, the cashier lady accused him of taking new jugs off the shelf and attempted to have him more than $60, when we know very well it only costs us only $12! He insisted that he did not and she continued to press saying that Save On had no new caps and that she SAW him take new jugs off the shelf. Thankfully another customer in line said she saw him filling up OUR water jugs and she still looked at my husband hesitantly, but finally shrugged, apologized and charged us for refills. Absolutely unacceptable. I’m hesitant to come back as it seems like customer service is going down hill. I hope the store manager sees this and speaks to their employees.

Very rarely I go shopping here due to that it so expensive compared to Superstore. Even if you become a member it still expensive. I got given a $50 gift card as a gift, went here. Was surprised how there was no staff. Only one cashier serving the afternoon crowd. No staff at customer service or even on the self checkout. Had to wait 10 min for assistance even the security guard felt bad, I knew he can’t leave his post at the door. Totally understandable. The manager of other department had to jump in. Honestly it the upper managers that should have ensure that there coverage on the floor. If you want better staff service and good deals just go down the street. Superstore right there. They have my business.

I honestly cannot say ENOUGH good things about this store - Especially the Delivery team and Online Shopping team! Thee BEST! Their delivery app and the whole service is the easiest to use and the most competitive between 2 other store I’d shop with.

Such caring staff even in person and great communication, in stressful times!

Trevor does an amazing job as manager and is always making improvements lately that stand out above the rest!

I have no problem completely making the switch now - i had shopped superstore since I was 17. No problem doing without products to have better delivery, sense of community/care and customer service.

I will always pop in the odd request of products to see if we can get the Silver Hills Bagels (original/sesame/raisin/everything) in there. They would frequently sell out at Superstore. Blush Lane has them. But I really would love (of course who wouldn’t) one service full time. Or know I am able to walk/close by to get what I need.

Buddah Popcorn - Pink Himalayan Salt is another good one.

I do wish they had organic bell peppers in their organic section, but all in all it’s very good.
The produce in general is better quality and they are one of the few that carry incredible vegan options like the Very Good Butchers, Just Egg, Violife and more!

I would just like to say that the staff at this particular save on is very kind and respectful. With masks being mandatory again, it’s usually a struggle to be able to walk into a store not wearing one because of my health, but I walked in the other day and had a friendly greeting by the security at the front and no questions asked. Then when I was online to checkout my items I think it was the manager who came up to me and I thought for sure they were going to tell me to put one on or leave, but no! He helped me at self checkout and was very kind. I will be coming back to this save on from now on. All businesses should be like this. If someone isn’t wearing a mask it’s for a reason and it’s just non of your business. So thank you Save On.

Shame on you! You didn't let me enter your store today with a backpack on my back. This is a free country I can carry whatever I want. Canada, do you allow this kind of behavior towards your citizens? Shame on you!

Wow has this place home downhill. Produce is old, bruised, ugly, and low quality during peak of the season yet prices are higher than anyone else. Terrible experience, won't be back!

This place is great for all your groceries and then some, got a sweet Starbucks inside with a great lunch bar as well.

If you are concerned about contracting COVID do not shop here! Lady standing next to our cart with no mask. Complain to the store and they say there is nothing they can do about it! What a joke other stores actually take this seriously.
Save on foods is more concerned about getting the maskless persons business than the safety of its customers!

Very nice and clean store.staff is very friendly. The only issue with this location is that there are lots of lazy people shopping here that want to park their vehicle right in front of the store.

Inflated prices on almost every single item. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Superstore 2 mins down the road - much cheaper, larger store, better selection

There is cute staff at Seton. I go there almost every day just for seeing him but he didn’t know I think.

This store has twice messed up my delivery order. The last time they missed $28 worth of items a substantial amount. We called them up as nobody ever called us saying they had extra items on the truck or whatever. So they said they would refund it and give us a credit for the mistakes to use toward future shopping. Nothing happened no refund appeared. Called customer services back 2 weeks later they said no record of that conversation and they would refund me asked me which items again. I was away from home no access to the invoice so had to go through the same thing AGAIN! Still nothing back in my account so I called again and THEN they FINALLY did it whilst I was on the phone. I'm hesitant to do delivery with this store again as this is the second or third time they've missed stuff off our order and it feels like how can we trust them? If you literally have to check the bill vs exactly what you got everytime you receive groceries there's honestly no point plus we're paying for the delivery! Which is laughable considering they always miss stuff. Walmart does a great job with grocery pick up never had the problems like I've had at Superstore and Save On but unfortunately they don't have as good local quality food. It's a shame really.

Very efficient check-out and hand sanitizer available as well at check-out counter. Save-On Walden does not offer this safety precaution.

Great rewards program; have saved thousands of dollars on travel over the years. Very friendly staff at the Seton location. Great pies & sushi. Also really enjoy their pre made Red Thai Curry dinner. I will not shop anywhere else as this is a Canadian company based in western Canada.

This is my regular grocery store. Very good quality produce and meats. Very clean, easy to find things, great staff super friendly.

Well organized with great variety and fresh food and veggies. Prices are on the higher side though

One of the best stores in Calgary for grocery shopping needs! Excellent customer service and very friendly personnel here. Would highly recommend this store to Real Canadian Superstore in Seton and 130th Avenue SE.

Not what I'm used to with save on foods. I asked for help and the person helping me rolled her eyes.

Guess you have to go to the store on the first day of the sale, because the items we wanted were long gone

I was in your store yesterday Sunday Sept 20th, the store was very crowded, no social distancing measures were being respected, 6 people were in the store with no mask, a gentleman in a wheelchair, with no shoes, sores on his legs and no mask was travelling freely through the aisles. Barefoot in a grocery store is not acceptable especially during Covid. I was so distracted just trying to avoid close contact, I had to leave and will never return. You began with stringent protocol and now there were no hand santizers and the sanitizer sheet dispensers for the carts were both empty. This is how the spread continues. Really disappointed in management.

This is the only grocery store that I've been to in the past few months since COVID-19 hit where no mask is worn by any of the employees, very disrespectful and unsafe environment.

I usually don't write reviews but i've been coming here ever since the lock downs have started and I've been noticing the lack of protection in the bakery section, I've seen people having their hair out while wearing bandanas, not wearing gloves etc. The overall selection is great and a lot of the staff are friendly and very nice but i definitely feel as though this place is lacking in some sanitation but the overall experience was okay.

Came in for groceries at 8: 50pm. Guy at the deli refused to serve me and said the deli was closed. If you’re closed why are you still there? I understand you’ve likely cleaned the slicer, but I doubt you’re being paid for the last hour of your shift to turn people away.

Its so nice, to be able to shop and not get interrogated walking in the door over a "plandemic", however.their sushi to-go selection sucks.

Great store, great staff and I can get all my local groceries there 750 meters from my apartment.

I like the product selection but was unimpressed by loose COVID safety protocols. Store patrons are not monitored at the door, almost nobody was wearing masks, including "professional shoppers". Do these people not care about others? I wear a mask to protect you from me; why won't you do the same for me?

Was not pleased at all with check out. They have cashiers wearing gloves all day. Who knows how often they actually change them. Touching everything, then goes to take produce out of the bag, touching my food with dirty gloves! Seriously? ! Use your heads ppl. Gloves don't work unless you're continuously washing your hands. Your not protecting the public and you're not protecting yourselves

They are taking care of people during these times and their flyer and if you register for special offers you can save some money.

Yesterday (11 May 2020) I was briefly there and was shocked at the blatant disregard for public health recommendations. I didn't see any employees with face masks on. There were even employees laughing in each other's faces and some even being rude to customers who asked a simple question with regards to where a product was. Compared to other stores, this Save on Foods is not setting a good example. No social distancing stickers, plexiglass or traffic arrows present. I'm not shopping there again and if asked by a friend, I would advise them to stay away from this store.

Severely disappointed, I have always noticed the stores issue with leaving out items well passed their best before dates. First time using their delivery service, with an order of $300.00 worth of groceries, half of my items are well past the best before dates! I am applaud, disgusted by this store wouldn't quality check the items!

First off, pharmacy gets 5 stars. My wife and I deal with Mary-Ann frequently and she knows us by name and is alway pleasant to deal with.

As for the grocery part of the store, I don’t think I will be coming here anymore. I find the bakery isn’t always fresh- they seem to bake products every second day if that. Produce is hit or miss and bananas are usually so green that they never ripen before they are no good to eat.
Frequently we will come home and realized the product we just bought expires in the next day or two (I guess I’m eating 16 yogurts today). My wife once bought a product and used it for two weeks worth of meal prep (in the same day) and then I realized it was three months past expiry.
And lastly there will frequently be some organization soliciting for money set up where you have no choice but to pass them to exit the store.
There are three other grocery chains within a five minute drive. They will be getting my business from now on.

Nice grocery store. I've been here a handful of times. Though a bit disappointed with their rotisserie chicken as I found it to be a bit dry. They have a great selection of good very well organized and displayed.

Meat department is always messed up. Tags dont match items, so even if the scanned price come up higher, you have wasted your time. Scanning code of practice doesnt count.

One of the most beautiful, clean, well stocked grocery store in Calgary. It looks and feels like a high end grocery but has very competitive prices. They also boast a smoke house for delicious food to eat in or grab and go. They also have shop for you and delivery service.

I love the quality of food here and I always find what I'm looking for. The prices of your a member aren't too over the top either.

1 star might be to generous. For a company that states they support local farmers.explain to me why you were promoting milk from USA. Have it in the shelves if you must, but is it necessary to promote with free samples?

I normally go here for produce. Much better than most places. Just have to watch prices. If you get stuff on sale price is competitive. Otherwise they are a bit expensive.

Points redemption is a nightmare. Mixed messages from numerous staff and management. Being told “it can’t be done” over finding the solution is ridiculous. Funny enough a solution was found after 30 mins of run around. So it can be done. Points are now used up and I will be taking my business to anywhere other than Save On Foods.
