Filled me freezer full of the tastiest pork and we have used these guys for wild game as well in the past. Amazing flavours and great people to deal with
I wasn't going to leave a review but after talking 4 other butcher shops I feel obligated to warn others. I recently took an elk here and when they weighed it, the elk was 396 lbs, bone in, with out hide, head or lower legs. The bow shot just clipped the rear of the lung with minimal meat damage. When I got the elk back I weighed what I recieved and got 164lbs and 20lbs of that was dog bones. Every other butcher I talked to said I should have recieved 200-260 lbs back. From now on first choice meats will be where I take my animals.
My husband and I always love to treat ourselves to good meat when we camp. We were excited to try savoury meats in Sundre and they exceeded our expectations! The team was also very friendly and knowledgeable, and we really appreciated that we could recognize every single ingredient in their products.
We tried pepperoni sticks (spicy Canadian, Bergen beef) and sausages (beef and jalapeño). Everything was fantastic - but we went back on our way through town to stock up on the spicy Canadian and jalapeño. Can not say enough good things about their products! You just have to try it for yourselves!
If I could post zero, YES I would have! Really disappointed with this business who we have dealt with for…well many many years. Their freezer went down they lost our full beef steer. Paid out the market value but reduced the cost of our animal to COVER their butcher cost. Really how was this our problem!
Then they finally respond once a review is posted…haha, however their response is not all truthful. Our animal was purchased direct from a feedlot that sold liners full of steers matching the one we purchased and the cost we paid was the same as the packing plant bought their liner for. SO how can it possibly have been Savoury Meats fair market value
I am so glad that I found this store. The quality of their meat products is exceptional. Nathan also takes time to explain what to buy and how to cook the meat. I really appreciate this since I am not a very good cook.
Charged me 753 dollars on my elk and I'm not sure it's all there. I figure it worked out to a $ 1.65 a pound on 452lbs hanging weight. Do to price will not be using again.
