Sawmill catered our wedding of 170+ guests this fall and we have nothing but good things to say! Paul was so accommodating and listened to all our needs and requests:) Paul and his team are detail oriented and tailored our menu to exactly what we wanted. All of our guests loved the food. Thanksgiving vegan feast was delicious and affordable. I got two and ate them all weekend and into the work week! Not much more than what I would have paid in ingredients except I didn't have to do any recipe planning, shopping, cooking, or cleaning. And also tasted better than anything I could make. An incrediblely easy way to enjoy and participate in the holidays as a vegan (they have a meat option too), just heat up and enjoy! A no-brainer for me going forward.

Very good vegan Thanksgiving with a tasty variety of dishes that satisfied adults and children. The pot pie was everyone's favorite: its size alone made it worth the price. Will definitely do this for future holidays. Thanks

We used the Sawmill Catering & Banquet services for our corporate event. They do such a fabulous job - from decorating the tables, providing excellent customer service, setting up the site and of course providing a delicious meal. They have a range of food that suits every person's dietary needs. Delicious roast beef! The plates are big but not big enough. Haha. Paul and Monette provide us with such wonderful, caring service that we will continue using them for our future events. The quality of food is outstanding! Bravo to Paul and Monette and all of their wonderful staff. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

My husband and I booked the Sawmill & Catering for our wedding this past weekend. And when I say every part of working with the Sawmill was beyond amazing and easy is an understatement. Paul is a dream to work with! He is such a great source of information, personable and quick to respond to all my questions/emails. For our big day everything was seamless. Monette was our day manager and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was absolutely lovely, went above and beyond for anything we asked. At the end of the night she packed up our leftover cake/cupcakes even though she didn’t have to. All the staff that were part of the catering team were funny, interactive and wonderful.

The food was outstanding. We had a family style served meal, there was more than enough food for everyone. All night and over the last few days all I have heard was how wonderful everything from the Sawmill was. They took care of our bar providing a bar tender, a bar (the venue did not have one), all the mix, we did a toonie bar so they provided drink tickets, bar float and debit machine.

I would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or other function.

They went above and beyond, we couldn’t be more grateful.

Wonderful experience. From our initial inquires right through to the end sawmill banquets and catering did a great job. We knew we had chosen right when we had a great evening out at our tasting. What a fantastic meal that was our on even then. The servers were professional and polite taking care of all our needs. Even packing up the extra food for us to take home.

My husband Darren and I chose Sawmill Catering for the dinner at our wedding. We worked with Paul during the entire process and he was incredibly accommodating and answered all of our questions in a very timely manner, they were even able to create an off-the-menu entrée for us! His team was early on the day of to ensure they had enough time to assess and set-up, they were very friendly and professional and were ready to answer any questions we had. Overall, the whole process was stress-free and the food was incredible, I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a delicious catered meal.

A great bit thank you to Paul and his team for excellent food and service on our August wedding day! We received quick responses and detailed answers to all of our questions from Paul and this made planning for the day easy. It is not easy to arrange every detail and we appreciate that this was handled with care. We received lots of compliments and the staff attended to us with so much attention and detail - from being there early in the morning to ensuring we didn’t have to leave our seats for food at night. And taking us to the fridge to personally show us where any leftovers were at the end of the evening. Excellent! Would highly recommend!

Everything was so great! The food was amazing, the service and staff was on par, went beyond our expectations. And don’t eden get me started with the planning up to the day. Paul was easy to deal with and couldn’t ask for a better caterer.

Hired Sawmill to cater our wedding and was blown away by the level of service and professionalism from Paul and his team. The food was incredible, and I got compliments from many of our guests. The salmon was amazing, and there was more than enough food for everyone. Paul was a dream to work with and was always willing to accommodate our requests, including making me a delicious sangria mix for the bar. As a young couple trying to plan a wedding, it was so amazing to have Paul meet with us and make some recommendations around scheduling and rentals. I couldn't recommend this company enough.

Sawmill was amazing to work with - Paul was very receptive to all our questions and very quick to respond, and his experience and easygoing personality put us very much at ease throughout our planning process. They even offered to help us pick up and drop off our other rentals along with our linens, which was very much appreciated.

The food was also delicious - we had a selection of canapes, a buffet with items that did not disappoint (The butternut squash ravioli is DIVINE) and added the mousse cups to our dessert table (highly recommended - they were delicious and we only wish there were more as they were gone very quickly!) All guests were fed quickly and efficiently and food was left out long enough for everyone to enjoy until full. All in all, top notch food and communication.

We had the sawmill for our small roof top wedding. Not only was the food amazing they brought everything to the roof top without any issues. I was worried they wouldn’t want to take everything up the stairs but they did with no complaints. I would recommend sawmill for any event.

Paul Doucette was so wonderful to work with and his entire crew on the day of our wedding was spectacular. We hired Sawmill for our wedding, and right from the first time we met, Paul went above and beyond for us. He was always available for us when we had questions. Answers emails, texts, and phone calls right away. I also appreciated Paul's guidance and honestly when it came to planning our cocktail hour and dinner menus, as he knows very well what would work and what wouldn't.
The menu tasting was perfect and helped us narrow down what we wanted in our dinner buffet. Paul also gave us all the leftovers that night!
When it came to our wedding day, the Sawmill team was amazing! So many of our guests have asked about the popcorn at cocktail hour- it was a huge hit! The buffet was set up beautifully, and the team helped the event planner set all the tables. During service, the Sawmill team kept water and wine glasses filled for all our guests and kept all the tables clear of clutter and garbage.
The food. WOW! We had a Christmas themed wedding with a full spread and it was OUTSTANDING. We have had so many guests tell us that it was the best meal they have ever had at a wedding. Even our photographer was impressed! We also received all the leftovers from our buffet which we were not at all expecting, but really, really appreciated!
The late lunch was exactly what we had envisioned. We wanted the tomato bisque fountain with grilled cheese wedges, and "Santa's milk and cookies", and the Sawmill team did a perfect job!
The Sawmill also provided bartending services for us. We only had to provide alcohol and they provided all the mix and garnishes, which cut out a lot of stress for me! The bartender was wonderful and took such good care of us the whole night. Paul even made sure they had eggnog for our signature drink of rum and 'nog!
I can't say enough great things about Paul and the Sawmill Team, and I very highly recommend them for all your wedding needs!

I was tasked with planning a meeting in Edmonton from Houston. I called so many different places for over a week and could never get a response. When I got Paul with Sawmill, I was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. I explained what I needed and Paul took it from there. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help make the week easier for me. I could NOT have done it without him. My team was so pleased that a week later, they are still talking about how good the food was!
