Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre Edmonton South

It’s really nice. It has some high end features, like an amazing bar, and then some basic stuff like those weird hotel hookless hangars in the room. No safe or microwave. But gorgeous water fall in the bar/ atrium. But one side is against the train track and the other is next to the hwy/ sirens.
This one’s a tough call. I’d stay here any day of the week, if where I’m going was close by and the price was right.

And no hot tub.: (
Would def give it 5stars if there was a hot tub and proper hangars, but that’s just me. Rooms are spacious so it works for me. It’s great. Not the best, but really good. And breakfast is decent to be sure.
I hear the restaurant is really good, so that’s convenient.

First room we went to wasn't that clean and needed a new whole reno kind of a run down room bathtub was dirty bed had hair on it bathroom floor was covered in unpleasant hairs
We talked to the staff they put us in a different room which was way better

Absolutely amazing service from Dylan at the bar! The front desk staff were very nice and helpful as well. We had a very clean room, shower pressure was a bit low but that's minor details. The location was awesome.

Beautiful hotel. But dated but it goes with the rustic feel. The rooms are amazing and so much room in there.

Nice place, only spent a few hours here. Room was spacious & clean. Carpet was date, stained and needed replacing.

We checked into this what looks to be a very nice hotel on the outside, turned out to be not so nice on the inside. We had the family suite, which was two bedrooms with a king size beds in each the larger of the two also had to pull out couch. We didn't realize until it was time to sleep, that the mattress that they provided with this couch, was terrible not only was it lumpy but if one slept on that mattress, you would feel sore at some point during the night. In addition under the mattress there was a large dark stain which was unsightly. I spoke to the front desk, and advised them of this, they extended to us for that night a room an additional room.

In addition when we did go into the room the bathroom sink had to be unplugged because I had an excessive amount of hair and such that was plugging up the sink. The Keurig coffee machines in both rooms, looked disgusting, which resulted in my having to go buy coffee for my wife and my daughter.

The experiences that we were faced with well just simply trying to have a two nights of rest, given that we were attending a funeral on Tuesday day and another one Wednesday! This was a very trying time for my family, which would have been alleviated somewhat by having stayed at a hotel that was problem free, unlike the Sawridge Inn.

What was exemplary in this two night stay was the service we received. It was excellent.

Rahal was the lady at the front desk at check in she was able to respond each of my requests prior to shift ending at 11: 00 p.m.

Another member of the staff that works at the hotel, stated that they have about 38 rooms that are open. Sadly this property advertises photos of the renovated rooms, of which there are seven.

This hotel will be no doubt a nice one to stay at once they start and complete the remainder of the reservations for this property. When this has occurred we will return to see what it has become. Should they choose not to renovate, and continue to falsely advertise these rooms, it won't be long until they decide to sell to a company that is interested in creating a property worthy of the Sawridge Inn name.

Great rooms comfortable, clean modern, super comfortable bed.
BUT the continental breakfast is a joke! There was bread, apples, boxed oatmeal, and cold cereal tea, ok coffee, watered down OJ and apple juice.
There was no muffins, protein, waffle or pancake maker. The other guests all had the same look of disappointment.
On top of that one family of 4 found out that the breakfast was for ONLY 2 people they charged them $8 per person for that poor excuse of a breakfast. The one kid only had an apple. LoL an $8 apple.

The initial room I got was in bad condition. There was a water bubble in the ceiling. They changed me up to a recently renovated room and was in great condition. The customer service was exceptional quality.

When we arrived we were told that the suite we booked was not available so we had to be put in a temporary room until ours was available. When we moved to our new room the thermostat said 30 degrees. The A/C was obviously not working so we called down. They said maintenance would fix it while we were at a wedding. This was 1pm. When we came back after the wedding at 10: 30pm with our 2 small children, the thermostat said 31. We called reception and they couldn't move us or explain why ac was not fixed. With our children screaming and us dripping in sweat we decided it was easier to drive back to calgary. Driving back to Calgary to arrive at 2am was a better option than staying at this hotel. Suffice to say I will make sure everyone I knows never stays at this hotel again.

The hotel has no lounge or restaurant open due to COVID. That’s a bit hard to believe with the rest of the world open at this point. Room was larger, bed comfortable, no room cleaning or garbage collection unless you ask. I had difficult with my reservation as I reserved a room with 2 beds and told I had a room with only 1. Manager fixed it. Thanks for that. Area is a bit run down and the hotel is between train tracks and main road yet the noise isn’t bad. Good proximity to restaurants and some shopping if you have a car. There were liquor bottles and beer cans in the parking lot and in front of the hotel for much of our stay. A daily outdoor clean up is needed. Overall a good budget stay.

I did not see any of the problems that the other guests saw and they accept pets. I did walk around the Bar and Dining area it is one of the Grandest rooms I have seen and been in with great design, sculptures and art.

Location is prime but hotel is still in COVID mode.no lounge, restaurant, stayed for 3 days with no room cleaning.rooms are nice and bright, beds are OK but the staff is very friendly

Room was very spacious, bed was very comfortable. It would of been nice to have the restaurant open though or the bar for a cocktail.

This hotel is quite nice inside the lobby area. The room was a little bit run down though, air conditioner was extremely noisy and nobody cleaned our room or took our garbage during the whole middle day of our stay even though we were gone from 7am until 5pm. The key card didn't work at first so I had to get that reprogrammed but the front desk staff were nice. One of the two elevators also broke down during our stay so that was a bit of a pain in the butt. I realize that was probably something not in the control of the hotel but it would have been nice if they at least would have put a sign or something on it to relay that message to the guests. I would probably still try staying here again because I think most of the things were probably not the norm for this hotel.

Nice location near almost everything.restaurants, South commons and this hotel is clean and staff were really polite and helpful.

Lobby is beautiful…. That’s it. Rooms are very dated, they smell old and musty, the pillow are horrible - they feel like pillowcases stuffed with socks or something. Not worth the higher prices of surrounding hotels. Won’t be back.

Everything great. Only bad thing was when we asked for the bill, we were told to go on to booking.com and print it ourselves.

We have stayed here several times before but will not be back. Free breakfast was advertised but when we checked in, we were told that the restaurant is permanently closed so no breakfast. Our bathroom was dirty and only stocked with 1 roll of toilet paper. They changed the soap brands and is now way lower quality. House keeping no longer comes daily.

Usually come stay here with family n my brothers when there in the city but a great place to stay

The hotel is beautiful and rooms are great but the front door closes at 11 and you have to call a number to enter. This hotel is not a 4 star hotel in this case.

The bed is comfortable, the staff are friendly, the entrance and what would be the restaurant if it was open are all very beautiful. Those are the good things. The bad, the room is in very bad need of updating. The wall paper is peeling, the door doesn’t actually latch when it closes, just go ahead and push the door open whenever you like. I am able to latch the deadbolt and the hokey flip latch deal but once you leave the room anyone at any point can just push the door open. It looks like someone used a couple crowbars in the past to create space and remove the hinges to gain entrance. Premium rate for subpar room. It has the potential to be nice, it just isn’t.

Had reservations for two adults and a dog. Our room wasn't ready at the time of check-in, the staff more than made up for this by providing a no cost upgrade to a suite, excellent room, top notch staff. Will definitely be back.

This hotel provided the most comfortable and peaceful hotel stay I had in Edmonton. The rates are very affordable and pro-rated perfectly due to the covid restrictions. This hotel has honest and very much reliable staff. I felt very cared for, very much important and not to mention safe at this hotel. The added bonus was the quietness and bathtub plus the bed was so comfortable beyond words. I love the huge pillows and the crisp clean linen that they provide. I give this hotel a 10 out 10.

Was amazing accommodation even with a late night call from fort mac they gave us a beautiful room for super cheap

Went for a stay-cation in the jacuzzi suite to relax with partner and had an incredible time. Staff were super friendly and thr suite was gorgeous. Cannot wait for another visit to their location

Very affordable with great rooms I'll definitely stay for the 8 time. Live a few hours out of the big city.

Still a good value for money hotel. The quality of the breakfast isn't what it used to be, but thier grand prairie hotel still has amazing breakfasts.

This is, hands down, my favorite place to stay when I'm in Edmonton. The rooms are very tastefully appointed and clean, the beds are very comfy, and the staff are exceedingly pleasant and competent. Also, the hotel restaurant is truly excellent. I ordered a chicken club sandwich and a side garden salad. It is not a stretch to say this was the best chicken club I've ever had! I love the decor and feel of this place and the rates are very competitive. You will not be disappointed.

Clean, beautiful lobby, nice restaurant, spacious pet friendly and wheelchair accessible room and friendly staff. What did I miss? Oh yes, super price!

Very nice hotel but prices for drinks for my son's wedding were horrible! 8.50 for a Smirnoff ice? 5.50 for a non alcoholic beer? Yikes! Food was very good though!

Rooms were well kept and clean, air conditioner was loud especially at night and didnt like the lack of natural light. The lobby is very nice and the free breakfast was good. Hotel smelled very good throughout and the front staff was very friendly.

Comfy beds, working air conditioner, great continental breakfast. Super easy to get to and there are a lot of restaurant choices near by. The food in the restaurant is also quite good and the staff are friendly. It also has a lot of TV channels and the ability to rent movies

Came here for mothers day brunch, was not at all impressed. Some dishes were completely left out too long, others were left empty too long, for a mother's day brunch the selection seemed fairly small as well. Definitely would not recommend.

I have stayed here a few times for work and every experience has been great. Clean room's, Comfy beds, friendly staff. Kind of a nightmare to get to, due to the one way traffic but it's worth it!

I was in Sawridge inn for third time. I like it for first two times but this time the room quality was very poor. First of all there is a lot of noise from AC. I was with family and we have to take early morning flight and I can’t sleep with that noise. Secondly they gave me room towards road and there is a lot of noise from traffic. I was also unhappy with room carpet. It wasn’t changed for a long time. I paid around 120 dollars and it doesn’t worth that much. Extremely disappointed

Food was good. Coffee was excellent. The conference room where we attended our event was odd. Very low ceilings, and their tech support struggled to synchronize 2 screens.

Clean and good sized rooms, friendly and accommodating staff, an above average breakfast and a convenient location.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn. We had the most pleasant experience. Friendly staff members. Clean rooms and the breakfast was awesome. Thanks for the complimentary delicious cookies.

Stayed here last year and was very happy with the size of the room. Very friendly staff and even offered great rates on additional nights while we were there. Definitely stay again when I’m in Edmonton it’s close to the highway, restaurants and shopping

This place is awesome! Super reasonable rates, rooms are spacious and clean. It's not a 5 star resort by any means but for my needs it was perfect. Friendly staff, frequently checked on us to ensure our stay was going well. The restaurant is decent and offer variety, walking distance to several other food vendors and fitness facilities.

Will definitely stay here again, I have not encounter value like this place offers anywhere in the last 5 years

The noise from the lounge could be heard from my room. The buffet dinner was disappointing. The mixed vegetables we're overcooked, the dessertslooked good but we're very bland. Staff we're very nice. The room was very clean.

I stayed here over the second time over the weekend, and I'm so glad I chose to come back. Check-in was a breeze, room rates were very reasonable, and my friend & I had a really good experience with the restaurant (food was good and the service was excellent!). I had initially returned because the beds and pillows are absolutely lovely (I stayed here 4 years ago and that stuck with me), and my opinion of the place only improved after this visit. Will definitely come back, and will also recommend to anyone in need of a place to stay in Edmonton!

The room was nice, beautiful lobby and the dining area and lounge was a great place to eat. Home to North America's largest dreamcatcher. All staff (front desk and housekeeping) was friendly and helpful.

If you like to sleep with the sound of the train rolling by, this is it. No complimentary coffee during the day. If you don't clear out of the room by 11am or absolutely the latest 1pm you pay for another night. At least I was forced to stay here for an event or I would be upset that I booked such a fine hotel
