I went to the bank at about 6: 50pm. Ms. Chel to help me with the credit card. I feel sorry to her because I was worried that it would delay her off-duty time, but Chel very gently told me not to worry, we still have time, she’s professional and friendly, it is a very impressive bank, I highly recommend coming here.

Worst Scotiabank branch. Absolutely do NOT bank here. They will lie to your face about what they can do and set you up for failure. They terminate accounts to save their own behinds from being caught.

Another major bank. Nothing much to say about in person services as I use digital means of banking for the most part and seldomly go in the bank unless the drive-in machine isn't working and can't read the cash being deposited.

This branch is very questionable. They will lie to your face about what they're able to do and will hold government cheques which I think is illegal.

The staff at this location are incredibly rude. I will never return to them again. I’ve had an account with Scotiabank since I was a teenager and I have never been spoken to so terribly by someone as I was by the manager of this branch. I will be closing all of my accounts with Scotiabank I am that disheartened by their interaction.
Customer service means absolutely nothing to the tellers, or the manager. When I went to my own branch I had absolutely no problem with the banking I was trying to get done at this location.
Absolutely disgusting the way you speak to people. Do better.

Ruby and her team members are excellent at their customer service. Although she is leaving the branch but i being the regular customer will miss her. The tellers were friendly and patient during her time. Expect the same from the new supervisor

The manager and the tellers are rude and hateful. I went in regarding a known issue involving a double charge to my account, they accused me of overspending, refused to help, and then smugly told me this was on me while mocking my overdrawn account. As a long time Scotiabank client, I was extremely disappointed by this poor level of service.

I've been coming to this branch for the last four years and have had really good experiences in the past. Ruby and the other employees have always been on the ball and I've been able to walk in and get stuff done with no issue. My last few visits have been a disaster. I had a teller who was completely indifferent and didn't care about the customer at all. She made a mistake filling out a form for me - she asked me to just sign, she'd take care of everything, which I did. I went in a week later with my name miss-spelt and some online banking disabled. When I went in and had the same teller, she told me I should have filled the form correctly. I told her it wasn't my writing on the form, that she told me to just sign, she would fill it all out later. Then she said I should have checked my name was right before signing - I agree, I should have, but she had a copy of my driver's licence with my name, attached to her form. And while I take some responsibility for not double checking, she did not apologize for the mistake and was quick to blame the customer. My account was finally enabled for online banking. A week later she phoned to say my request for a new credit card was declined and to phone customer care or come into the bank. I'd already been twice and the thought of having her continue to behave indifferently put me off. I phoned the customer care number instead and discovered the teller updated my address (which I didn't ask for, my address hasn't changed) and they can't send me a new card until a mandatory 30 days have passed. Banking involves a great deal of customer care, more than anything I felt I was inconveniencing the teller with my request. I won't be going to this branch again and will be changing banks soon.

Their is only one good bank teller here the rest and even the manager are incompetent and you guys should stop charging people for a stop payment if you guys are to lazy to enforce them! My last bank here in Canada I told them once to stop a payment it was done that day it's just laziness and incompetent

Visited a financial advisor with my boyfriend on April 27th @ 2 pm. After this appointment I wanted to switch banks. I did not trust her advise at all and felt very depressed about how she made me feel throughout the appointment.
She questioned my boyfriends decision to have a joint bank account with me assuming that I was using him for money. She labeled me as being "timid" and "anxious" with handling my money disregarding the fact I did not want to invest in the stock market at this time. I felt as though I wanted another persons opinion on what to invest in being new to the stock market. She assumed I was going to be investing in the weed stock market because I told her I spend my money on the occasional marijuana purchase. She said "this isn't Wall Street" to me throughout the appointment with rude physical gesturing of eye squinting and head shaking, making me feel like I was "anxious or to "timid".
When I wanted to get re focused on the appointments goals like forming a savings plan, retirement plan, house savings plan, and etc. She would guide the convo back to it being my problem for being to "timid" and "anxious" with our money. She made me feel inferior and incapable of making any decision with my money.

Beside the fact of her unprofessional look of a low cut shirt, disorganized look, and unprofessionally long bright blue nails. I would never trust this woman's 'financial advise. '
I have no doubt she has a certification saying she has the skills needed for this job. But as the costumer of this branch I left this feeling inferior and believing I was "timid" or "anxious. "
My boyfriend agrees that she was making rude and directed comments towards me. To this day we are both are unsure why she acted this way towards me but its really left a sour taste in our mouths. We are now looking for a new financial advisor in Scotia Bank and in other banks now due to this experience.
I gave this 2 stars because nothing is worth 1 star, I believe she and this bank has a lot of room for improvement and until that happens I will leave my comment posted.

Can you be more lazy? Can I give 0 stars 1 is generous.

I came in for a Visa application with income verification ID and a beacon over 800 but they insisted on needing proof of address (utility statement) and they wouldn't even see me! Any excuse not to take a meeting. I could have e-mailed it or showed them on my phone. Meanwhile the FA is in the lunch room at 3pm waiting for the day to end. What a joke. This person needs to be fired.

Well, They often count my money wrong if i go with cash to deposit. Once i gave teller $1300 and she said its $900. Second week I went with $1200 in bills and $200 in coins. The teller counted bills $1175 and coins $265 first try and $192 second try. I ended up not depositing coins. That particular day Manager or supervisor was right there and she said sorry to the guy who was waiting to lock the door because it was 4: 03 (they close at 4 PM) but didn't even try to resolve the issue i had while being there and listening to everything. I always have to correct them because i go there often.
They wont even realize that its a bank and people expect them to count every penny right.
If i can i will give a zero star.

Slow, horrible bank for businesses. With all the older folks in the area, they tie up all the tellers paying their bills and banking. Never enough tellers open, lots behind the counter but always only one or two actually serving customers meaning there is always a long wait. This branch refuses to open a commercial teller, saying its a Scotiabank policy, yet there are several branches in Edmonton that still have commercial tellers or the managers come out of their offices to help when its backed up.

I would not recommend this branch to do any business banking. They are the ONLY scotia bank in the city that do individual receipts for each deposit. Weeks worth of deposits will take at least an hour which is super inconvenient when you can get it done at any other Scotia in 10-15
When I asked the lady at the counter why this is the only branch they do it this way, she said that she would prefer to do it that way so she doesn’t have to ADD the totals - don’t you work at a bank? Don’t you have a calculator? Unreal.
