One the staff take to long to call the next person in line. The place stinks the service is rude and slow. Their never on schedule. Why is this the only Scotiabank closed on a weekend what are y’all doing get to work? Nothing is good here the security gard doesn’t leave u alone ever and their overall just too nosey with everything asking what you need this for and why you need it.

I recently had a truly disappointing encounter with their customer service team Name Emrou something he is sitting in the office @ around 10.09 hours, January 27,2024. Not only did he fail to address my issue, but his representatives were also unhelpful and seemed disinterested in providing assistance. The lack of professionalism and empathy left me feeling frustrated. It's unfortunate that such a negative experience overshadowed. I hope they take steps to improve their customer service in the future. He doesn’t even deserve a one star. I need to withdraw the money and I asked the request that if he can check my card limit, but instead of helping, he was rude. I am also the supervisor and I know if someone will come to my site and specifically if that will take less than 5 minutes I surely help that customer rather to be a rude with the customer. I hope he should understand that customers are their first priority.

I am not surprised with the low ratings for this branch. I had opened a TFSA Cashable CIG last year. The account opening experience was wonderful (2022) but the closure was not (2023). The account was closed before maturity date which caused small financial loss for me. The application sent from TD had special instruction to wait till the maturity date which was less than two weeks from the time of application.

I was surprised to see all of the 1 star review to this branch. My own experience was great. I was treated like VIP. Transactions were very smooth. Gurjit was a wonderful professional and knowledgeable advisor. Also The branch Manager Mariam welcomed me to the bank as I am a new client. I have a very positive experience. I hope everyone will keep up the good work.

Review for @Mohammad Reza and th bank.
Please do not waste your time and avoid both at all circumstances

This is based on my expereince for a financing application in 2021. If Google had zero stars, I would give it to both - the bank and Mohd. Reza, as he is one of the worst financial/ mortgage/ loan advisor I have ever met. Please avoid or ask for someone else if u really value your time & efforts, below are the reasons why:

1. Mohd. Reza convinced me from the beginning that Scotia bank offers land only financing. After providing all personal and income related documents, creating a Scotia bank customer profile (I don't bank with Scotia), preliminary approval and the final Head office approval, he told me that the application was declined as Scotia bank changed the policy and were no longer offering land only financing. What a waste of time when I had literally asked him not to right from the beginning. When requested for a copy of the bank Policies (before and after change), HE DECLINED to provide citing confidentiality. I trusted the bank with my personal and income documents, but bank cannot trust the customer to provide a document? A TRANSPARENT BANK AND THEIR REP WOULD HAVE PROVIDED IT OR EVEN SHOWED IT ON THEIR SYSTEM.
2. He falsely promised me of qualifying on my own for the loan amount and then mentioned otherwise after a week! I do not understand why he took one week to come to that conclusion, I myself knew from my income to debt ratio, I would not qualify on my own! I had to include my wife for the loan application and he literally wasted her time too as she lost working hours to create her Scotia profile, go through the same documentation process without any positive end result.
3. He does not communicate via emails or in writing; all the time he left a voicemail saying he had some important info to share. He requested all my documents via email, but never communicated any correspondence, even the final declined application from the Head Office even after requesting it. THIS IS A BIG RED FLAG FOR A BANK EMPLOYEE AS THEY NEED TO BE TRANSPARENT IN WHAT THEY DO. TRANSPARENCY IS REQUIRED FROM BOTH SIDES, NOT JUST FROM CUSTOMER.
4. I also would like to point out couple of document corrections that happened from from my end. When I submitted my employment letter, my company wrongly mentioned my start date of Jan 2022 instead of Jan 2021 (application made in June 2021) ; this was corrected with an email forwarded to him directly by my HR. Also, my employer switched legal names on payroll/ paystub and tje same was communicated directly to him by my HR. These 2 points were never an issue for a different bank in providing the same financing.

Ramy Rezkallah is the best financial advisor i met in Scotiabank. He’s very polite, friendly and such an amazing adviser. I was frustrated with Scotiabank but finally they have someone who listens and meets expectations.

There is no option for zero stars but if there was, that would be my rating. This branch and Scotia overall is hot garbage. I have had the worst experience consistently - with no answer, no follow-up on my emails or calls. I have escalated my concerns multiple times and had little to no improvement.

I have sent files and had to resend them multiple times because the rep is not keeping things organized.

Reps do not put their out of office on, do not get back to you, and say in their voicemail they respond within 24 hrs and do not get back to you for weeks or days.

At this point, their lack of service is impacting our ability to move forward in our financial planning and they have cost us money as well as time.

Thinking about banking with Scotia, and especially this branch - just don't.

Scotia bank has the worst service even if it’s in Calgary or at any other place. None of the employees have sense that how to deal with the client. They are so rude specially Mahnoor and Jasbir. Instead of being helpful they make things hard for customer. Me and my husband have been with Scotia from last five years but every time we go to bank we never get any good service. Recently we been treated very badly at your branch by Mahnoor they weren’t helping at all instead they were making everything hard for us. Unfortunately, both of us have decided not to be with Scotia anymore. Thanks for the such a unpleasant service for five years. Keep it up

If there was a 0 rating, I would give them that. They stressed my friend out and made his experience very stressful with their unprofessional behaviour. The staff involved were Mehnoor and Jasveer. I was in mental Stress because of them. I hope management takes matters in their hands and further investigate the situation. Lastly, I wouldn’t recommend this branch to anyone. Please avoid going there to keep your mental health in place.

This branch’s staff dont know how to talk with clients they treat to like nobody, I have been using scotia from long time never had issue but Only this time, Mahnoor and Jasvir, need some more training, that how to deal with clients, dont just ignore, try to help.

Small business advisor Jyoti singh shows a lot of attitude and she never ready to help, even if she is free and just hanging around never help you.
It happened twice with me, she doesn't deserve to be a part this post.being from the same community we expect to help us which she doesn't do and just getting paid for nothing.

Terrible bank to visit. I had some misfortune. Needed to replace a full wallet. Even with a passport, paper statement, and all the account information on my cell in front of them. They would not issue a new card. Went to a different Scotia, In and out in 10 mins. STAY AWAY FROM this one!

This is based on my experience prior to and during COVID. I dont think I've encountered such poor customer service at a bank ever. Scotiabank as a whole isnt bad but this branch is brutal. I've made another branch my main bank. However this location needs some major changes.

Worst! I had an issue with one of my accounts and the lady that was helping me she wasn’t that helpful at all and I told her that I have two accounts with them and I lost one of my debit cards and she wouldn’t give me a debit card I’m never going to that bank ever again After that experience today I’m just gonna cancel my whole entire account with that bank

I have so much problems with Scotiabank. It's really disappointing that I need to go into the bank for every little problem that can be easily fixed through the phone. Also why do these problems keep coming up frequently? I wish I could change banks.

My pay cheque was going on hold every time and the staff didn’t had an answer to it. Moreover, they treat us like it’s their money in my account. Very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. Disgusting. So, with no solution from them I had to change my bank. I wish I could give them 0 stars for wasting my time and energy.

I had to make wire transfer but they refused to do that saying you have line of credit account and no saving account so got a draft instead and paid a fee for it and went to deposit in BMO where my savings account is. BMO tried to call Scotiabank saddle town several times to verify but as usual they never answered phone. As a result BMO put a hold on my draft. I don’t get it why they charge a fee for draft if other bank is still going to hold it? And they never pick up their phone. 1 star is too much for Scotiabank.

Most unprofessional bank I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They will often be closed during their normal posted hours at random. Bank patrons here can also look forward to impossibly slow service and an awkwardly rude bank teller. Ever so occasionally we can expect to have 2 upto an all time peak of 3 bank tellers, all equally exceptional in being rude and awkward. Once we work hard and look past the awkwardness, one could see that they're in fact incompetent and unhelpful also. The blatant buffoonery beyond that, I cannot even fathom.

I had a meeting today with financial advisor, as i was asking questions related to increase credit limit, but the advisor was not ready to listen anything and told me meeting is finished. The customer service is poor. They should listen their customers first. Worst bank ever. I want to switch my bank. The customer service offer me credit card with higher money, but advisor was not ready to talk about this and has his own views on it. His name is Emmanuel. Manager should train his staff to listen customers first before giving useless advice.

Went to the scotiabank in saddle town and Ramy Rezkallah helped me out. Fantastic service he was very professional and made everything quick and easy. He does his job very well and knows how to handle himself in a calm and respectful manner.

They want to hold a draft for 5 days or they can call the bank and verify the check,
I said ok and teller go to call then manager come back and told her to hang up and help the rest of line up, looks like my business don’t matter. I told her I won’t leave till my check get verified then manager came back and said she will call her self to verify, still waiting for verification!

If i could give zero stars I would, they didn't have any answer to why my acct was on hold (I had already dealt with this issue in February cause was new acct) they did nothing to access or find out why, they dismissed me trying to not give me a card until I asked, they did not care that they wasted my time and money, as I obviously needed it i am so disappointed that I have had this bank 3 months and have already had a few serious issues with them, name of lady who "helped me" was Jayne green,

The staff is very helpful especially Ms. Balwinder who sorted out a problem related to a letter which I needed for immigration. Ms. Balwinder had good suggestions and the problem was solved.
