It should be noted this review is specifically for Ivette, who was patient and persistently helpful towards my specific situation of dealing with an east coast branch needing to send documents. Without Ivette willing to listen and consider what may help I could have waited another month to get the documents I needed.

Thanks Ivette. I hope your branch recognizes the importance of quality customer services that you provide.

I run a small business and one of my accounts was compromised (fraudulent charges). The account was successfully closed and funds were recovered, but I was unable to use my primary business account for months because Scotiabank mishandled reissuing a new card. After weeks of no reply or substantial updates/status reports from the call center I tried to call the branch.

Problem #1: there is absolutely no way to find the phone number for the branch online. The number simply doesn't exist on the internet, Scotiabank does not publish it anywhere.

Problem #2: I went to the branch and finally got to speak to the branch manager, who reordered a card and told me it would arrive in 2 weeks. He apologized and said he would send me a cheque for $100 as a gesture of good will for my business interruption. It has been over a year now and the cheque has not arrived.

Do not trust this branch, and do not bank with Scotiabank. I would advise going to ATB, First Calgary, or Servus.

This is honestly the best bank in the city. I have been coming her for years and have had no issues. The people who work here are some of the hardest working people I have seen and it is ridiculous to see people leaving such harsh reviews. I have never had an issue and I have had multiple people help me even when I came in late to closing. I would 100% recommend to get your banking done here. The management is great and is always willing to fix any issues, especially the customer experience lead who has helped me numerous times over the years with my financial needs.

Recently moved to Calgary, so transferred all our banking to this branch as it’s just around the corner. I’ve made four or five appointments now to talk about or mortgage and other banking / investments needs, and every time it’s with a new advisor as they all keep quitting. Anyways I’ll be looking for a new bank in the future as this branch is nothing but headaches.

This bank and branch deserve one star only because customer service like STACEY THIESSEN. She refused to help me mentioning that they are close at 4, however I was inside the bank at 3: 50 and waiting in que inside the bank. I noticed that one associates started closing the door around 3: 55 however I was already inside by then. She mentioned she would only gets my half work done because she does not wants her staff to stay late. Unfortunately that’s not my problem and it’s not good customer service. And she was RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL with her tone. At least she can be nice and respectful when communicating with me. She should treat the customer better.
