After a 45min of talking at the branch and being referred to call a number, waiting on the phone, to being told to go back to the branch, trying to get a new credit card after my other was misplaced, the women who referred me said she’d finally help me and within 5 minutes she said my credit card has been ordered. Fast forward 2-3 weeks and nothing in the mail yet I call the number again to find out she never even ordered a new one for me, even after I, being hesitant about her lack of questions and how fast it took her, asked her twice if she was sure everything was solved and okay to which she said yes it’s all good, nope. Been waiting on nothing in the mail. Don’t remember her name but one of the only questions she asked was “quicksilver? ”” While judging my shirt lol and being very demeaning throughout our discussion.

Only visited this branch to open an account for a promotional event, and made it very clear to the advisor. The advisor was even helping me by explaining the necessary tasks for completing the promotion. Despite this, the advisor opened an account for me that was not even eligible. Visited again to inquire about the promotion when I never received it and was treated poorly, no patience or understanding was displayed to me and overall felt uncomfortable during the entire visit. The advisor during this visit was not helpful and was also confusing and did not seem to care. Responded to their survey online and shortly afterwards received a phone call from them trying to understand the situation, but even after explaining the situation thoroughly they did not understand and did not listen to the answers I provided. Made a bad situation even worse. Would definitely not recommend doing any sort of business here.

I'm done being a victim at this bank. Lost money from an atm through a skimmer or something but of course scotiabank takes no responsibility. I tried to go into this branch to find out what they did to actually find out what happened and just get lies. These geniuses actually tried to say they believed i took exactly $400 canadian out of an American atm. Not possible. Was told i would get a letter regarding my case within a month. I waited over a month, got nothing. When i called i was told my case was closed and I could do nothing about it because it's over a month. Are you kidding me? When i said i never received the letter, they told me i could go into this branch to see a copy of it. This woman told me they had no letter and acted like i was lying because in her words I was "jobless". I'm a stay at home mom. There's a difference. Their senior customer service associate is a blatant liar. He talked to me the next day and said they don't send "letters" regarding this issue. I have proof of it. When I contacted the next number I was required to call, they said I can do nothing because they had sent a letter over a month before. Huge run around so they could say they weren't at fault. Closed my account. Money is not safe here.

Sudden change of process/practice because of someone new at the branch after 7 years of doing something the same way. Tellers obviously surprised as I was and Assistant Manager being untruthful in making excuses for the someone new and egg on his face for being oblivious to the change!
