I love Scotiabank but when they make things difficult they are hard to deal with! Like how are you supposed to cancel your bankcard without ID? My poor brother lost his wallet with his everything in there ID alberta heath & such & they weren't caring as they proclaimed to be.family netch well treat us like it idk I'm thinking of changing banks but then again idk the only thing I like is collecting points for movies.that's the only positive out of them.anyways hope you all have a good day

Manager Meghan is worst I have ever seen in my life asked for to increase withdrawl limit from 500$ to 1000$ she responded very rude.
Worst branch in Calgary.finally closed the account bcz the way she behaved.don’t recommend at all. Stay away.save time.

Scotiabank braeside may be a small branch but they are always so helpful and polite

Very bad customer service, to do a Wire Transfer took me more than 4 weeks just because one of the teller didn’t guide me properly, they all seem not know or answer questions properly, this delay wire transfer costed money and many other problems. Don’t go to this branch please.

There is a reason this scotiabank branch is below 3 stars overall.not impressed at all. Bank manager decided to hold a bank draft for 4-5 business days.what is the point of a bank draft if the bank receiving the money treats it no different than a regular cheque? I will be taking my business elsewhere.on par with garbage.

The customer service advisor that I dealt with advised me of a service that is included in my package, and I discovered later that I was charged for it.when I went back to the branch, I was advised that I should come only to the same agent who wasn't present on the day. That is very incompetent

Best Branch, Cory is the best branch manager there is. Tania and Rema and the rest of the staff are wonderful. Cory is always on top of things, should there be any alert on the account he notifies the clients directly. He was away for few months and the replacement manager dragged the customer service at the branch to the lowest level. Thank God to fast action of the Scotia Bank President's office they brought Cory back. I can tell you that customer service is 5/5 and it will stay that way as long as Cory, Tanya and Rema are there for us, Thank you so much for all the great work. God Bless

Horrible service
I was trying to cash out 800 $ by bringing check that belongs to this brunch
and vent through nightmare explaing why I'm I doing this why I don't go to my bank I feal like criminal

Everyweek I visit this bank and receiving excellent customer service from teller NOVA & TAMARA. They both are helping & very friendly. They never disappoint me when I need some change or coins.

Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Nedzad is one of the best advisor I worked with. He’s very friendly and welcoming. We really appreciate the extra mile he did. Great job Ned! Keep up the great work!

Worst customer service since new management took over, even employees have been brain washed by Eric the new bank manager and by Justin the supervisor. So sad to see a branch that was 5 stars for the longest time to be ran down to the ground by its own people. It's useless going there, mine as well do your stuff online, research other banks if you need to open an account somewhere else, you never know what you get to these days

WORST customer service I've ever had! The supervisor named Justin comes off as very sexist! Anything I asked, he either laughed or smirked at me and called me 'mam' in a very condescending way. Even the teller looked embarrassed for me. I am the most friendly person alive so I don't know why I'm being treated like this? Look at all the reviews Scotiabank! All one stars and even other sexist comments? What are you going to do about this. Justin is awful and needs to go or be told his behavior is unacceptable.

Horrible customer service. Made sure to embarras me publicly at the teller today. Gotten consistently nastier over the last few years.

The customer service agents in the front line are wonderful, friendly and professional. The guy above them, Justin, unfortunately was not so great. Very rude, and almost annoyed with my issue. He brushed it off like he didn't want to solve my problem and sure enough, 3 days later and it is not solved. Now it's a fun game of having my phone calls redirected and finding no solutions.

Sandeep the floor manager and Nema the supervisor went above and beyond for my complicated wire transfer. Those two are efficient, intelligent, they handled business. I want to thank them both so much for rising to the occasion, conquering a difficult task that is far outside their job description. They did a beautiful job. Negatives are the manager Cory and the parking situation. Cory not only failed to support his team, he simply didnt even show up. The staff there is working overtime to pick up the managers slack and that is not how it should be in this Alberta economy! We have no use for a manager who lacks discipline, lacks leadership. I tried from June 10th to June 14th to reach Cory; 1) he is on perpetual lunch 2) don't bother leaving voicemails, he won't return them 3) the Scotia service desk asked me to go in and see if he was there, they could not reach him.

It is such a nice neighborhood brunch. The services I have always excellent, staff are super friendly and patient. My mom only speaks Mandarin but never had problem with banking because every time she goes there, one adviser who works in the office also speaks Mandarin would come to the front counter and volunteer to help her out.

The parking lot is a gong show most days - bad layout, bad location. But unlike other reviewers I have been to this branch multiple times and never had a bad experience with the tellers. During peak times, yeah you can wait a bit, but this whole plaza is not the place to shop if you’re in a hurry - because of the aforementioned gong show parking lot.

Updated- from 0 to 1 as they got one transaction correct after dozens of errors. From the front tellers, banking officers, supervisors and the phone service. This Scotiabank branch and the phone services are failing me every day.

WORST BRANCH EVER!
Incompetent clerks in an unprecedented level.
Do not go there if you need more than just cash from the machine.
Thanks to this branch I am closing my account at Scotiabank because I refuse to keep my money in a bank that allows this level of absurdity to affect the client’s life.
