Sea Fish N Chips

Was excited for some fish and chips but unfortunately a fry had a big nasty hair stuck in it. Friendly service, just wish our dinner didn't have a gross hair.

I took a photo but it won't let me post. They're closed now but I'm.hoping to reach out tomorrow.

This is the only place I will get my fish and chips from they're always tasty they're always warm and the staff is amazing

We went for lunch after long time, fish was tasteless lots of batter less fish, some of my fries were uncooked, coleslaw needed more sauce! For $53.77 I expected better food. I won’t be back there

Being from a British family from the east coast who used to work in a seafood store I have high expectations for my fish and chips! Well sea meets them! The food tastes like home and the staff are kind and friendly and to go is even wrapped in newspaper just like home!

We’ve been loyal customers at sea since first living in McKenzie, so over 10 years, and still make the drive and bring our friends and family. It’s the best fish and chips in the city… HOWEVER, today we came in with 10 people, we realize the space is small, but there was one table of 6 finishing up and the 12 other seats were available. She turned us away, and told us it was because there wouldn’t be space for other customers if they came in. We did have children with us, but I still don’t understand the logic. She did offer us the option to do takeout or come back in 20 minutes, but feel maybe she just didn’t want us there.

It was awful price is way up. They give no condiments no lemons. Asked to make the fries crispy they were limp.

I had one piece of haddock with the chowder as my side. Husband had two piece haddock and chips. Fish was pretty good. Crispy batter. Fries seemed decent. But for the love of God stop serving that chowder. Honestly inedible. Like wallpaper paste with an unpleasant overly fishy taste. Two bites and couldn't eat any more. Just awful. Although it wasn't as bad as many of the reviews say, I don't think we'll be back. Joey's is better.

Rode my bike from Riverbend to this fish and chips place. Ordered 1 pc fish with fries a plate of 1tiny fish with 6x the batter end the chips were hard az a rock. Don’t waste your hard earned money at this place. I complained to the server and told her the food was terrible and she had no comment. If you want to spend $13 for half fried batter and rock hard chips then this is the place. Total rip off.

Not worth the price, we had the 2 piece haddock. Very small portion. Have had better in several pubs. Would not recommend.

Always great. It’s been great for years and is still great. So glad it’s still open. Small business, family owned, friendly and efficient, with great food. What’s not to love? Our family will keep coming!

Got the 2 piece cod and chips! Cod was amazing but I wish the filets were a bit bigger for the price ($16.95) and the fries are decent! You can tell they’re homemade but they are a bit thick!

Ordered 2 piece haddock for 16.95. Received one fillet very thin cut in half. I’m all for supporting local restaurants, but I won’t order from there again at those prices. When I have ordered a 2 piece fish dinner I actually got 2 full fillets.

Ordered pickup with the skip the dishes app. Went in to pick up the food and the woman at the counter forced my boyfriend to pay even though the order was already paid for. Had to go back in and get a refund, she was rude and blamed it all on my boyfriend even though he tried telling her it was paid for when he first went in. Got home and the fish was over cooked and incredibly greasy. Will not be back.

Great food quiet expensive could give more tartar sauce with meal enough for one piece that come with it when you order 3 pieces should at least come with more.

We've just finished our dinner from Sea Fish & Chips and while it wasn't horrible, it was horribly bland. The fries were not salted - big no no to not salt them as soon as they come out of the fryer. The coleslaw was bland - tasted like cabbage with mayo on it. And the fish was bland as well, which is odd because if you have a good batter, you're going to have good flavour. They just need to make a few tweeks and amp up the flavour - then I think they could have a winner.

Great fish and fresh cut fries. Price was good too. Only issue was the Cole slaw. Very bland. Not much flavour at all.
But will definitely order the fish and chips again

This place is absolutely amazing! By far the best fish and chips place that you can find in Calgary. We have been coming here a few times over the last few months for take-out and they always prepare the food fresh and hot. I was talking with the owners daughter and she told me that it's been mostly the two of them for the last few months trying to keep the place running, and they have been doing a fabulous job. Thank you for staying open

Food was good but I ordered pick up. They wrapped my fish in two pieces of paper (didn’t even bag it), oil dripping from the packaging and it leaked onto my fairly new blue jacket. Large oil stain on the arm. Washed it multiple times and the stain won’t budge. I called them about it, was very nice about it. All that was said to me was ‘I’m sorry. ’ Now I have a stain on a $220 coat that I can’t get out and every time I look down at my arm I’m reminded of the disappointing experience.

The worst fish and chips period. The batter is thick, fish is thin and tough. Go to the British Chippy if you want decent fish and chips. I'm surprised this place is still open with such poor quality food.

Just DON'T BOTHER. If you are reading this save yourself the disappointment and go to Joey's or Pelican Pier or somewhere else.

Great little restaurant! Absolutely loved their 2 piece haddock dinner, which also comes with coleslaw, chips, and tarter sauce. I will definitely be coming back

Having a local authentic fish and chips place is very underrated. These guys do it right. Simple decor, nothing over done. They know what they do, who they are and they’re great at it! Whether for pick up or just to sit in the small 30 seater restaurant, they’re among the best fish and chips in Calgary!

The fries were good and the portion size was decent for the cost, but the fish was just too dry for my taste. The fish is too thin for the fryer, and as a result ends up a little like "fish jerky" on the outside of the pieces. Maybe consider thicker pieces?

Great food and great staff. The restaurant had a wide variety of food and a fantastic atmosphere. I'm definitely gonna be going back there again soon
