Very approachable and friendly staff. Amazing doctor consultation. Special shout out to Naima Zamane, she coordinated all my initial appointments prior to surgery and made it the process seamless for me. Thank you Team Clarity and Seema.

The front desk is brutal to get a hold of. When you are standing in front of them, they ignore you for quite some time before actually greeting you and checking you in. You also have to wait over an hour for your appointment so make sure you pay for at least 2 hours for parking. The only good thing about this clinic is Dr. Al-Ghoul. He is a great doctor and that’s the only reason I continue to come back for my follow up appointments.

This is a specialist eye clinic. Its within the Rockyview Health Centre Building - Main floor - turn right at the elevator and follow the corridor to the Clinic. If walking issues, access from the East Side Entrance - Turn right into Seema Eye Clinic.

I recently had cataract surgery done by Dr. Al-Ghoul and highly recommend both he and his staff. I had my eyes done one week apart and within days am back to normal activities, having suffered very little discomfort at any stage. As busy as they are, at no time did I feel that I was not receiving the utmost in care and professional attention. Thank you so much to Seema Eye Care and Dr. Al-Ghoul!

Thorough and patient preparation and education by staff prior to surgery, consistent courteous and professional care even under pressure. Waiting times for surgery on the day of the surgery were longer than expected, seemingly due to unpredictable circumstances. However, staff was transparent and caring throughout the wait. Follow-up care was prompt, thorough and continued as long as needed.

Falak was a beautiful person and a great helper today and she has a great personality and treats the clients very good and good for you guys for having a person like falak at your work place

The clinic runs very efficiently as does the surgery centre. The Doctors and staff are all very professional and my surgery was successful.

I have always had excellent care and great results. The clinic is absolutely spotless. When my husband had his appointments we had excellent service as well.

I had double cataract eye surgery with Dr Al Ghoul six months ago. My right eye was the problem but since they said that the left eye was starting to develop cataracts too, I opted for getting them both done. They also talked me into the upgraded testing and surgery option which was supposed to be 'more precise'. After surgery my right eye was no better. After seeing several doctors in the clinic and using different eye drop medications with no improvement I was referred to Mitchell Eye Care since they are more specialized for retina problems.
After another three months at Mitchell seeing more doctors and with more eye drop medications, there is still no improvement to my vision in the right eye. The retina scans show an anomaly on my right retina which has not gotten any better over time despite the medication.
I believe that Seema did permanent damage to my right eye with the laser surgery. Also the upgrade for 'more precision' was a complete waste of money. Patients are required to sign a waiver prior to surgery so there is no recourse for failure. I am writing this review to warn future patients away from Seema Eye Care Centre.

This clinic is a joke. I tried to call them and no one answered the phone. You can't even leave a message

Front desk staff were friendly and were quick to send information and to me reschedule my appointment beforehand. Ismail and Ina were kind and efficient. Dr. Jason answered my questions and was clear and helpful in his explanations of my treatment.

Great experience and was faster than I was prepared to wait. Paid parking ($3.75/hr at the time of this review) available with limited street parking a few blocks away if you’ve brought a friend to take you home.

Book with literally anyone else EXCEPT these clowns if you can. Their version of "appointment" evidently means "come on this day around this time and MAYBE someone will eventually get to you within 1-16 hours".

This place easily has the most ridiculous wait times I've experienced anywhere. One day it was 45 minutes in a room with over 60 people waiting - today there just ONE single person sitting in the waiting room in the entire building, yet over an hour passed and I still never had the doctor come see me.

That's a level of unprofessional nonsense and just downright ignorant disrespect that no one should ever have to deal with or tolerate. Period.

Dr Lekhi is personable and no complaints.
But if you are going to this clinic, expect at least 18$ -20$for parking. I arrived early for my appointment, but it took 3 hours to be seen. A total disregard for your precious time. Luckily I chose one of the earliest appointments or I would have missed work. I am contemplating to go back to my other ophthalmologist, a little further than this location, but never had experienced unprofessional waste of time.

I just finished my tests and photos from Jarilyn and she has the most amazing personality. She made me feel at ease from the start to the finish being very professional and humorous at the same time. Anyone who has Jarilyn complete everything before seeing the Doctor can feel very lucky!

Went to see Dr. Al Ghoul. Parking was easy, didn’t see that you’re supposed to pay but didn’t get a ticket. Reception was fine & waited briefly before getting tests. Wasn’t aware of a charge for a procedure but ok w it. I’m aware eye care isn’t covered by Alberta Health so I was prepared for costs. All the pre testing before seeing the Dr went great. Staff was friendly while being very efficient & as quick as they could be IMO. Dr. Al Ghoul was absolutely awesome. Made me aware of everything going on w my eyes. While I had been pressured to get corneal surgery or a $1,000 contact from another optometrist he assured me it wasn’t necessary in my case which really put me at ease as I had been very anxious before the visit.

Jarilyn has been a ray of sunshine for me. It can be stressful and anxious coming in to see how my eye is doing after surgery. Her smile is comforting, her patience with me and encouraging words means a lot. She is definitely someone that should be recognized as an outstanding staff member.

I have done a cataract laser surgery here and the result was very good and the level of supports and services that I have received from Dr. Al-Ghoul and rest of the Doctors and technicians were great.
I do recommend this clinic.

NEVER book an appointment with Dr. Al-Ghoul. Every single time I have an appointment with him it gets cancelled or changed. It is infuriating and unprofessional. Today was the last straw in getting called 4 hours before my appointment asking me to come in 2 hours early because he had to “shorten his hours. ”
I am sure there are other great doctors in the clinic but avoid Dr. Al-Ghoul at all costs unless you want to be changing your appointment every single time.

Girl in black hair was so rude to my mom.when i came two weeks ago. Was nasty didn’t even acknowledge her. Girl in blonde black hair was super sweet. Writing this review because even two weeks later my mom is still hurt over her experience in this clinic. She was awful looked at my mom and didn’t even bother to help her when the other girl was on the phone. How rude. Horrible service.

Horrible wait times like why do you even bother booking appointments if you make them wait for hours! Ridiculous it’s 2022 get with the program and make your bookings correct! Acting like we aren’t human and don’t have lives of our own! Get your stuff together

It’s always a peaceful visit, wait time aren’t long if they’re not too busy, but they’re usually quick. It does give you enough time to do some extra work and the nurses are really friendly. Jarilyn is one of those kind nurses ️ this place has been really good to me throughout my journey with keratconus

The service was excellent. The man at the front who helped me, ismail, was very proficient and professional. He helped me a lot. And was very patient and kind.

Seema Eye Care Centre provided excellent care before, during and after my cataract surgeries. Jarilyn went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and understood everything happening. Exceptional doctors as well!

I gave this clinic a bad review one month ago during my first visit, then deleted it shortly after because I did not want to be unfair in any way.
The benefit of the doubt won't help seema this time, though.
Beyond poor customer service. They do not respect appointments. I showed up 2 mins before my appointment, yet at least 10 ppl who showed up after me went in before me. Receptionist said they also have appointments before me and at the same time as me, but they all happened to show up late! Right!
Racist staff with a serious attitude issue. They don't know how to pronounce names or even speak english, including their white staff.
This clinic racks in taxpayer's money from the healthcare system. The moment you step in, you feel like it's a money grab operation.
It's practically being run like a slaughter house assembly line. You will be literally a bird moving down the line to get the electric shock and your throat cut before seeing any doctors.
Doctors are not bad.but shame to allow such a poor clinic management system.

I have been going here for a couple years now and have recieved a few treatments for my eye condition. As others have said time again this clinic does not value your time. Very lengthy waiting times to see the doctor for less than 5 minutes.

I'm not sure why this clinic has such an issue with logistics. I've had my appointment canceled twice in a row the day before my appointment. When you take time off work because you are having to potentially spend half the working day at the clinic this can be extremely frustrating and a waste of time requested off at work.

At the end of the day if you value your time and don't need to be specifically at this clinic for the specilized procedures and options they provide i would go elsewhere.

I got laser surgery for both my eyes. Dr. Al Ghoul very professional and caring. He phoned me after the surgeries to make sure I am ok and I was provided with a cell number I can reached him should I need it. The other Doctors are very professional and caring as well. It was beautiful experience that i had in eye seema care.the staff are good, especially the staff who helped me most, Jarilyn Jurgens, she was very most friendly soul.her service was truly amazing?

I would highly recommend Dr Al-Ghoul and the team at Seema Eye Center. I did not experience any long waiting times on my many visits to prepare for cataract surgery.

When I returned home, after one visit, I was unsure I was recalling the correct information regarding my cataract surgery options. One phone call and they answered all my questions. They reviewed everything very precisely so I was certain I was making the correct decision.

The day of surgery I was nervous. Crazy as it sounds, more nervous about being claustrophobic under the sterile draping than the actual surgery! I told Dr Al-Ghoul about my fear and he said not to worry. When we got to the operating room, after the drape was attached around my face, he cut a hole in it, further down, so I could see to the end of the table. I only got to look out of it for a few seconds before the procedure began but it made a huge difference.
I so appreciated this small gesture which accommodated my fear.

Almost three months later, I am very pleased with my vision. It took a little time so patience is required! Now, I only need reading glasses occasionally.

If you are contemplating using Seema Eye Center I can attest you are in great hands.

Great service. I came with my mom to do cataract surgery. The doctor was amazing and my mom had fantastic results from the surgery. Also, the outstanding service that we received from the kind and professional Naima, she helped my mom with taking the measurements and she was very patient and informative with her extensive experience. I saw Dr. Lekhi to check what was going on with my eyes. I was terrified to do the eye examinations, but the girls made me feel super comfortable. They are all very personable. Great staff, and great doctor!

The absolute disrespect for people’s time is deplorable. We have literally spent hours sitting in their waiting room on multiple occasions. A serious breakdown of their protocols is needed to root out inefficiencies.

I am currently watching seniors suffering in discomfort while they wait and wait and wait. This office is borderline negligent in its approach to its patients.

After an hour and twenty minutes, we had our five minute consultation. One suggestion: don’t call your patients “Bud” and “Boss. ” It’s incredibly patronizing.

We visited Seema Eye Care. The technician Jarilyn was very helpful and accommodating very professional to look after patients The facility is very clean and we are on time for our appointment.

I have had several appointments before and after having a procedure on my eye. Wait times were reasonable with all appointments, everyone has been great to deal with I look forward to having my.other eye done.

I got a great help from a nice and courteous young lady name Monica, who helped with setting up my appointment. She really made it happen and I was able to work within my time off from work. Thank you and keep it up Monica, God Bless

Super thankful & grateful for Dr. Vikram Lekhi. I suffered from a large chalazion from September 2020 - April 2021 on a very thin and sensitive area, my right eye lid. I went through numerous optometrists and physicians including a number of medications with 0 improvement. I was referred to Dr. Vikram Lekhi as a final option.

Dr. Lekhi was able to find a solution for me immediately and was super welcoming, fast and professional, the team and his personal assistants were also wonderful.

My absolute sincere gratitude to Dr. Vikram Lekhi and his talented team at Seema Eye Care for being able to completely treat my eye back to normal this is something I will never forget in this lifetime and will continue to forever be grateful for.

Absolutely terrible customer service and clinic. I dont think the people working in there have a clue how to manage and organize appointments as my moms appointment was rescheduled to day they don’t do surgery and wasted my time completely, No one values your time and appointment. Someone’s time doesn’t mean anything here over book and under delivering on services that lack save yourself a trip and energy and go to a different Clearly no one cares how you are treated here.

Lowered to a 1 star as after 6 months from my referred-out eye ultrasound, I had to call them to follow up for my results and they didn't have them. Ladies were lovely but the office is clearly too busy/understaffed to operate smoothly. I was also never scheduled for a follow up appointment and they were just as confused as I was as to the progress of my treatment/assessment/follow up status. Clearly I was one who fell through the cracks. Unfortunately I am in the process of applying for life insurance and they're insisting on these ultrasound results which no one seems to have***

Nice staff and modern equipment and office. However I had to give a 'meh' review due to wait times (1hr and Dr.saw me for maybe 5mins). The main reason for upset though, is I was booked for an appointment to have an exam which came with strict instructions that I required a ride home. My husband took the morning off work to drive me. Upon my appointment though, I was seen for 5mins by the Dr.and then given a referral elsewhere for an ultrasound. Not sure if they forgot to do the examination, or if reception forgot to advise me of the change, or even if the Dr.saw me and determined the exam was unnecessary… either way, nothing was communicated to me and I left feeling confused why the exam was never done and why my husband took time off work to drive me home when not needed?

I have made 4 visits till now. Each time they kept me waiting for 1.5-2 hours each time. They lack coordination and synchronization.

Whilst I appreciate that Seema deals with a great many patients and that inevitably for the staff, and also for those in the surgery centre, it can become a little like a conveyor belt or production line the beneficial difference that you all make to people’s lives should not be forgotten or ignored. Sight is a most precious sense and Dr. Al-Ghoul and his team, helps hundreds of people have that sense restored, and in my particular case greatly improved. It is a most valuable service and I want to let you all know that the appreciation I feel is tremendous. Dr. Al-Ghoul was able to make me feel genuine care and compassion. He provided an aura of calm in what was inevitably a most anxious situation for me. His professionalism, courtesy and indeed skill were exemplary. Whilst the speed of the operation was surprisingly, and pleasantly quick, it was very sure, and I was completely reassured by his patent competence. I am sure I speak for a great many others when I express my most sincere thanks

Bad experience all together. Booked for 1: 40 finally saw the doctor at 3: 00. Did a extra exam that was not covered, but felt it was not needed. I recommend going somewhere else, I for one will not come back.

* 1530H I arrived for pickup.
* 1600H I tried to asked their front desk (no one identified my grandmother they said no history or appointment on her name.
* In the end, grandmother took the bus, I got the rush hour traffic.

I just spent 2 hours at this clinic to receive about 4 minutes worth of testing, some of which I had to pay for directly. What an impersonal and thankless experience. The process of moving clients around different waiting areas appears designed for efficiency, but in fact is incredibly inefficient, and operates at expense of the clients' time. It shows a complete lack of respect for clients and clearly reflects a singular focus on the bottom line. The staff were like impersonal cogs in the machinery. Very negative experience.

Plan to pay for 2hrs - 3hrs of parking. The appointment was for 10: 15am but didn’t get called to see the first technician until 11: 05am. Then waited until 12: 15pm to see the Dr. Considering only 1/4 of the waiting area seats were open to patients due to COVID protocols I am at a loss to explain the wait times. A fellow patient said this was typical here. The staff were professional but the experience was frustrating.

I want to put 0 but I can't when you have pain in your eyes and it's scratchy after 2 months surgery when you go in this place and doctor telling you that everything is good but he doesn't know how someone feel when his eyes have a pain and scratchy they don't know nothing about eyes surgery

I must first start by thanking Naima for being so patient and caring. She helped me to make the right decision on having lazer surgery.
Most of all, my thanks go to Dr. Al Ahmed Ghoul, he is an amazing surgeon!
He was so thoughtful and caring, talked to me throughout my surgery to keep me relaxed and reassuring me I was in exceptional care. He followed up with me later that night to see how I was.

I originally did not want to post this review, however today was my second time in the clinic with my mother and I witnessed for the second time as the manager of the clinic was yelling at her staff in front of everyone. It is very disruptive and unprofessional. When we came into the clinic the first time our testing was rudely interrupted by the manager storming into the room yelling at a technician in the middle of my mother's testing. My mother was really shook at this point and wanted to leave immediately but we waited to be seen for 2 hours already so I convinced her to stay. We had to stop everything for that employee to be called to do something else. There was no apology or anything which really took me by surprise. I have been a manager myself for many years in healthcare and I feel really bad for these employees, no wonder they are running behind all the time, it is clear no one wants to be there. Needless to say the employee was almost in tears coming back to do our testing. I really hope that the treatment gets resolved because everyone deserves to be treated better. We decided to see another specialist after today because we do not support this by any means.

I am very thankful of Dr. Al-Ghoul and his team. I suffered a sever eye trauma last Aug. If it wasn't for Dr. Al-Ghoul I would of lost my eye. Him and his team are very professional and caring. From the emergency surgery right through to final post op care the team was there to help and inform me of all circumstances and possibilities of what could happen. All in all the experience was amazing.they calmed my fears and kept my Hope's.for continued sight in the damaged eye. Thank you Dr. Al-Ghoul and team you guys are awesome.

I suffered a significant cornea ulcer for which I was referred to Dr. Al-Ghoul. I can't say enough about the care I received not only from Dr. Al-Ghoul but from the whole team. It is a very busy practice but every patient interaction I witnessed (I've been there over MANY visits) was professional, caring and courteous. They cheer on success and check in to see how patients are progressing. I'm very grateful to have had access to such great care in Calgary.

My father attended Seema Eye Care Centre and was seen by Dr. Al-Ghoul
and we couldn't be more pleased with the care he received. Yes, the time in the clinic can involve some waiting, (just bring a book and a snack:) ) but we know that several assessments had to be done, by different technicians in order to confirm proper information and measurements. Also, we know that the doctors are sight-saving experts and making sure that everyone is getting the best care! I don't mind the wait because I feel that if you ever need more time or extra care, they will provide it to you. The staff were lovely and helpful and kind. The parking isn't free, but the fee is so small compared to any hospital or downtown offices.

A pleasant visit from beginning to end. Regarding COVID 19 I felt very safe inside their office with all the sanitizing practices and social distance. Covid precautions were strictly adhered to by all of the staff. Everyone was friendly and provided a clear explanation of their part of the process. The morning was streamlined very efficiently, and the diagnosis was explained in a direct, clear, and professional manner. A great place to be referred to when needing advanced care for your eyes. We were very pleased with the care my father received. Thanks to the establishment and group of people with excellent doctor.

I am not happy with this company. They don't inform you of doctor cancelations. Eg. I took my dad to a lense fitting. Doctor wanted an in person meeting after measuring. Doctor had surgery (it happens). They didn't inform me before hand i had to come back yet another day. On top if that, they seemed double booked for the lense fitting. We waited about an hour before they were ready for him. My father got stiff and sore from sitting too long and had to do this through his lunch time. This is no longer their time but OUR time they are buying. If they are over booked. Then book us for another day but do not make us wait or not tell us about the doctor not being here for a scheduled appointment. Lack of communication in a big way at this office

My Dad went to the clinic he had a vision issue, he had a great experience and was very pleased with everything, he met Areej who helped him with everything. Thank you Areej for being very nice and sweet and helpful

The best place to catch Covid as you will be waiting for your “Scheduled” appointment for more than two hours. 0 Star! Not recommended.

This 5 star rating is for Ameera the office manager.even though I had a bad experience with the staff there but she called and was trying hard to resolve the issue right away.explaining the process and what could've went wrong and got all the details to try to resolve the issue.offered for me to come back and see Dr alghoul and this time she would be the one booking me. She was with me on the phone for almost an hour trying to solve the issue that her staff caused. That's what a real manger does. Really appreciate all her hard work and dedication to try and look into the problem I had. Thank you Ameera

Be ready to waste 3 to 4 hours. A booked appointment didn't matter, you're still going to wait a long time. In those 4+ hours wait, you'll only see the surgeon/doctor 10mn tops. I wouldn't recommend. There are other clinics with similar quality that respect your time.

Have been visiting this clinic for a few years now. Dr. Al-Ghoul is one of the most well known specialist in the region. My Corneal Cross linking surgery was done by him and it was a very positive experience overall! Highly recommended!
