I'm reluctant to give a three because eventually there was a girl that helped us and she was lovely, however she was the third person we had to find to help us and the first two just didn't seem like they could be bothered. We walked around aimlessly looking for what we wanted but even with the "help us" looks on our faces the staff we ran into were reluctant at best to give a straight answer or even do more than point and walk the other way. The only redeeming part was the girl that did help us and went out of her way to look up what we were after. If it wasn't for her the rating would be a 1* for sure.

I like this place but today i was there on the closing time and a bold guy came to me with a very rude disrespectful attitude, he asked what are you doing? I told him that i am waiting my to pay we will leave so he told wait outside don’t wait here, even one of the staff felt that he was rude and give me a smile like she is saying sorry, I won’t say that I won’t be back but you should keep an eye on this people

I was here today with my Mom. I approach a worker named Dené (apologies if I spelt it wrong) She as absolutely fabulous and helped me and my Mom find a concealer, the product is perfect. We inquired about other products and she did not beat around the bush to tell us what would and wouldn't work for us! Excellent customer service and expertise. Thanks so much!

I’m disappointed during my last visit. I approached the staff to ask for recommendations and inquired about certain products. The staff just read the description and the label which I could have just done it myself. I felt like she’s not knowledgeable about the products. I was trying to find another staff but everyone is so busy and in a rushed.
Compared to my visit in Sephora (Cross Iron Calgary) one of the staffs help me right away and was very attentive. Gave me recommendations according to my skin type and was very knowledgeable about the products I asked for.

I am incredibly disappointed with Sephora. My 14 year old daughter was shopping with her friend today (I gave her money to shop and she loves Sephora) when they were looking around the staff followed them and demanded to look in their bags/purses. They pulled out a used glossier lip gloss that my daughter has purchased and had forever. They accused her of stealing it. Then didn't apologize when they noticed it was clearly used. You humiliated the two of them in front of everyone and should be incredibly ashamed.

Thank you to Zani at this Sephora location. She helped me choose a cologne and even offered to engrave it for me. It was a very special birthday present in the end. Great customer service and super helpful. Zani is the best - would definitely shop with her again.

Well, I tagged along with my daughter, high paced place with helpers all over, and so many different brands to choose from my daughter did her homework we got in and out under a half hr something for all ages and budgets gender friendly establishment for sure!

That Melani from the cashier was rude to my daughter. I was in line with my daughter and my daughter was on my left, she specifically asked her to move out of the way as she is waiting for her client to grab some other stuff she needs to buy. She is impolite and gave us a terrible look. I do think know why you hire someone with such poor customer service skills.

Came in on Boxing Day and even amongst the chaos I found a lovely young woman named Hibba (sorry if it's spelled incorrectly). She gave me amazing advice, didn't oversell me on anything I didn't need and made perfect recommendations. Such a pleasant visit and a great store. Very well laid out and clean and tidy

Came in with my very nervous daughter wanting to try some new makeup. We had Huda help us out, she was very patient and helped us find exactly what we wanted within our price point. We couldn't have been happier with our experience.

Came with my sister to buy perfume as a gift and engrave on it. We went to buy it and the cashier didn't even ask if I want to use my points then we went to the lady who dose the engraving, she was really rude and kept rushing us to choose what we want to engrave. I really wouldn't mind if she went to help someone else and I had to wait. When we decided what to engrave (she gave us 3 sec to decide) she kept being rude and looking at us with annoyed look.
When she was engraving, my son (4 years) bumped on the stand and it looked like he moved the engraving machine a little bit, I asked him to back a little bit, the lady who was engraving turned to me and with super disrespectful and high tone side " it was not him it's was you who moved everything " we looked at the perfume bottle and it looked very good, like nothing was moved.
So disappointed with this experience, don't feel like purchasing anything here anymore.

Kind of annoying how much staff they have right now because they kept coming up to me. Asked for advice from one of the representatives and they kept recommending the same price options after I said it was too expensive for me. I get that they want to serve each customer but it gets annoying when you just want to browse and look at things and people keep coming up to you.

I came in to Sephora for a 60 minute full face makeover and Jay was absolutely amazing. He explained to me how to apply the makeup and why he chose the products he did for me, it was so helpful. He listened to my concerns and what I wanted to focus on and my makeup turned out so much better than I could have expected. Plus all the other workers after told me how good I looked it was so sweet. I 100% recommend coming to see Jay for a makeover:)

The staff here are so attentive, I only had to ask one person for help with finding the perfect foundation and concealer for my boyfriend's acne when he was best man at a wedding and I can't tell you how much stress the staff saved me by not having to go through all of those different products myself!

I don't buy makeup but my sister brought me in here while she shopped and everyone seems quite helpful and got her what she needed quickly and explained the products well.

I actually feel like I learned a bit about makeup just hearing them explain it.

Plenty of girls coming in and out and workers for every couple of aisles, I think this would be considered a high quality makeup store.

Kind of funny to write a review about it as a guy but my sister spoke highly so why not.

Nice products but careless employees. I went in looking for a good quality foundation since every time I buy one, it ends up looking too cakey or it doesn't match my skin tone. I asked the employee for help and she literally spun around and picked the foundation right behind her, obviously being too lazy to take the time to find what's suitable for me. She didn't even ask if I wanted matte, glossy or full-coverage! And then she asked if i wanted to test it i said yes and she proceeded to apply it on me with a tiny little eyeshadow brush that made it look like I have streaks of foundation on me. If you're gonna test out a foundation for a curious customer, maybe actually try applying it correctly!

Super busy this weekend, but I had a really nice girl help me, I think her name is Lea? I had another girl shade match me first, and I wasn’t sure about a shade, she just kept saying it’s fine, I don’t think she actually wanted to help. The other girl after saw me walking around and asked me if I needed help. I asked her about a color match, and she asked me questions about my skin first, and coverage I was looking for, it was an actually detailed conversation, she was hilarious too! Like super funny! I love love the foundation she suggested. I love this location!

I was here last week to pick up a few new products as my skincare needs have changed as well as what I am looking for in foundation coverage. A girl named Anastasia (I think) was incredibly helpful and recommended a new moisturizer, sunscreen, foundation and concealer. I was pleasantly surprised that everything she recommended exceeded my expectations. Afterwards I was just browsing and numerous staff checked in to see if I needed anything.

I have mixed feelings about my visit the other day. Let me preface this by saying I like being left alone when shopping and I'll look for an associate if I need help. I ended up feeling like I was inconveniencing them for occupying the space and testing colour cosmetics. I got asked something along the lines of "are you still looking around? " by the plus sized girl with dark brown/black hair. Makeup is not particularly the most exciting thing so you can bet I will leave as soon as I am done browsing. I don't have to point the obvious that, yes, I was still testing products out. I was putting everything back in place and I only used a dot size to check for colour. I had other things I wanted to purchase but left asap because things just didn't sit well with me there; I felt rushed. Maybe that's part of training at Sephora now? Maybe the pandemic? I needed to visit a physical store because I was buying stuff as gifts and I was short on time to wait for shipping. Receipt timestamp: 5: 31pm on April 13.

Used to love coming here since staff were always so welcoming and helpful. In my last few visits I haven’t been greeted when entering the store and browsed for at least 30 mins without acknowledgement from any staff. Disappointed in how much their service has decreased.

We were at this location for over an hour, we left after making an online purchase at the store but they would not give us a physical receipt. They also had the incorrect email on file and couldn't send the digital receipt to the proper email. I don't feel its too much to ask for some form of receipt after making a purchase at the store. I find it unbelievably unprofessional that the only fix i got for the issue is that I (the customer) call sephora's customer support. They were either unwilling or just not properly trained to deal with this situation.

I had to change my review to a 5 star.from a 1 star.i had excellent service from this sweet associate I believe her name is Sambreen.she was so sweet, and accommodating, and very knowledgeable she s the one who help me with getting the right product for my face.i ended up buying the peace out face stick.i love it.its really helping my dark circles n dark spots to a minimal.i had an amazing experience! Recommended to ask for Sambreen.i hope that s her name. Thank you again for an awesome experience.

Workers asked me to wear a mask so I did put on a mask. Then they tell me that my mask doesn’t abide by their guidelines, but they refused to show me the guidelines to confirm that it really is against any rules?

Strange because I have had no problems at any other store in the mall today, not have I had issues with security.

Hopefully Hudson’s Bay has the Tom Ford cologne I wanted to purchase.:/

I usually never write reviews as I usually don't care enough. I was picking up an online order and the associate at the front told me to go to the checkout desk in the back of the store, even though the signage stated that online pick up was near the entrance. Said line I was waiting in took over 10 minutes because of the amount of people, and getting to the front of the line, was told to return to the front of the store. Like I don't know why the staff of a store don't know how to do their job properly.

The first time so ever went there was today, they decided to rip be off my $20! The item i has purchased was a crystal face roller, it was priced at $15 and they put it in as $35! I am extremely disappointed and utterly disgusted with my experience.

First time at Sephora today and I LOVED it. I will definitely be back. I told the lady (didn't get her name?) what I was looking for and she went above and beyond and out of her way to help me, was very, very friendly and so easy to talk too.

If anyone knows the lady (I assume she works for Benefit as she was wearing a pink benefit shirt?) And Not long had a baby boy, let her know that once again, I thank her so much!

This locations is very well staffed and the staff is nice and polite. Shetal helped my wife with all the questions she had and helped her with finding out right products. They have almost all product samples available to try so you can see if any of the products work for you. Overall very well managed store.

It’s nice to see that some people have had pleasant experiences here, but I have to agree with all the other one star reviews. I’m not sure who does the hiring for this particular location but it’s pretty much the same vibe every time. Maybe they don’t get paid enough, i’m not sure but it’s pretty much a given your presence is not welcomed, and if you dare ask for help, your greatly inconveniencing them.

Ok so i am a online shopper and i personally preffer not to shop in stoe. It feels as though I’m being pressured to buy the most expensive by sales reps, and they don’t often listen to what I’m actually trying to say.i decided to go in, mainly for my friend, but of course I still looked around. And today I have met the most amazing ephora worker ever. Her name is shital I’m not sure of her spelling. She is extremely knowledgeable on the products, and she took her time with us to explain how skin care should work. She taught us instead of trying to just sell to us. She made sure ALL of our questions were answered. Oh my god you guys she was just amazing and not like typical sales person. I felt so comfortable asking her multiple questions, I didn’t feel like I was being annoying cause she made sure to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. She’s informative, amazing, warm, welcoming, knowledgeable. Above and beyond what I ever had even expected customer service wise!

Came here the other day June 23rd 2021 with my mother - in law to help her find some makeup. For myself just grabbing some shampoo. Was greeted nicely in the front. Was offered help by one lady wasn't able to catch her name she showed me what I was looking for. Was friendly overall. Afterwards walked around looking at items as well for someone to help my mother-in law. Most of the staff was busy running around or chatting with one another about personal stuff no worries there. I did finally find someone she was friendly got help for us. When the lady approached us she was Awful. I tied to explain what my mother in law was looking for but let her talk since she is the one using the product as well she is very new to using makeup super simple just wanted some tips and help. The lady dealt with us maybe 5 minutes seemed annoyed the whole time as well talked down do us it was her tone of voice. We always kept a nice attitude towards her. After we found something with her she did a colour match was super rude the whole time. After we were done with this lady we went and paid. Cashiers were normal friendly. Overall the experience was not terrible. I get people have hard days as well rude customers but when we were just looking for help and for no reason was rude and like we were wasting her time it makes you feel like you are not even welcomed in the store. For this reason we will not be back to this store.still customers with Sephora however plan to do mostly online shopping or try the south common location.

The staff are incredibly helpful when they are available to assist you. I went on a weeknight at the mall when it was not super busy and the lady I asked who helped me was so nice and helpful and walked me through my options for what I needed (lipstain for my wedding). She helped me compare different colours of products and price points. I am not very knowledgeable with makeup, so it was lovely to find a staff member that was so willing to help! Thank you!

Always clean and organized. I don’t usually like suggestions from staff at most stores but the sales associates have been really consistently helpful without being pushy. Shout out to William in fragrance for hooking me up with a fresh new summer perfume.

This store has the best employees. During my last visit Tara helped me pick up some new products and they are actually really good. She’s very knowledgeable and I literally took her 40-50 minutes asking about numerous products. She was so patient and explained me everything. I have been dealing with hyperpigmentation from quite some time and nothing has really worked well but I think niacinamide is already showing some results as she recommended. Thank you so much Tara as I will be coming to this location more often

They wouldn’t let me in because I had a face shield not a mask. I explained to the lady that I can’t wear a mask she said then we can’t have you in the store. Not one store or office in the city has ever complained about it. So you guys should check your policies. If it’s approved by Alberta health, what is your guys problem.

Clean, bright store! Tons of new beauty products to admire.staff were all aware I was there but left me to shop in peace and made it known they were only a holler away if I needed anything. I love the products the staff suggest when seeing items in my basket (i.e. I had lash glue in my basket and was recommended a great pair of sephora brand glue on lashes, and I had a lip balm which was suggested to be paired with a lip mask). The birthday gift selections are always a nice, special little luxury

Experiences change at this store. One staff is helpful, one doesn’t care. Line up is always long. Good large selection but the no customer service apart from the greeter at the front. But sometimes I have had good service. Mostly I shop on my own.

I specifically went to get the Shu Uemura foundation. It was difficult to find it and hard to locate a associate for help. Unfortunately they did not carry it. I noticed that they carry a lot more lines which will be difficult to locate if you don’t ask for help. It feels a lot more cramped and stuffed with a lot of beauty lines broken down into tiny sections throughout the store. It’s nice to have a variety but If you’re going in for a particular item, ask for help otherwise you will be looking for quite some time.

I'm totally ok that the price of some products in Sephora is a little more expensive than Bay or the product's official website. It's easy and convenient to shop here with more brands. However, I do expect a better service in the mean time. It's very disappointed when I ask to try one prodduct, and I was told by the sales, "Sorry I cannot find the sample, and I dont serve for this brand so there's nothing I can do"

Don’t usually write reviews but I was at Sephora with my friend her first time in Canada from UK and was so thrilled to see Sephora went there did some browsing no one came to even as us if we needed help but that was alright, we decided to take some pictures in the store no one came to us telling it wasn’t allowed matter fact the girls there where gassing us up then his name was Scott came told us it’s we aren’t allowed to take pictures as per the store policy which honestly wasn’t a big deal we completely understand then my friend was like well no one has told us that then Scott replies really sassy and mimicking her accent completely rude and uncalled for rolling his eyes and everything I walked away in respect of both him and ourselves but that was really rude and was a really bad experience to my friends first time in Sephora and Canada. If pictures are not allowed there is a nice professional way to say that one of the worst ways I have seen someone handle a situation do not mimic someone’s way of speaking/talking because you don’t not know what you are doing to there confidence and mental health. Overall worst experience.

Zero! The two black girls at the front of the store were super rude! I went to try on a charlotte tilbury base and the one chick with horribly matched foundation and terribly blended golden eye shadow was so rude stating it looked grey when it was beautiful and matched me perfectly, I am biracial with a fare skin tone. The ladies in skin care and perfume were so nice. Too bad this was my experience because everyone else was great. Why have people who have no idea what they are even talking about working at the front.

The sephora in the west Edmonton mall has the worst service I have ever experienced at a sephora before. I went in there wanted to get a color match for a foundation, I had to ask a worker for help, which was fine, but I have never experienced this before as they always come and ask me if I need help normally. The guy I asked said he couldn't help me and to go ask someone at the front, so I did. The girl I asked at the front ask said she couldn't help me and to go ask someone who has brushes. Which is fine, but shouldn't they be finding someone to help me? I finally find someone who can help me, she is no help at all, I end up finding a foundation myself and going to pay. I spend HUNDREDS of dollars at sephora every time I go there. This is the first time I walked out with only one thing. The cashier did not say a single word to me when I was paying either. Worst experience I have had. I would not recommend shopping at this location, as they are rude and could not care less about helping you. I would rate it zero stars if I could. Don't waste your time here!

Not much customer service. I'm a guy and I'm shopping for a gift for my wife when I come here. I always bring a screenshot of the exact item I'm looking for. They'll ask you if you need assistance finding something, and then point in its general direction. I've also been told items are "available online only" and later found them myself in the same store. Staff seems to use the "not currently in stock" excuse every time I go in here. If you aren't interested in helping, don't ask.
Endless lineups at the till every time too.

Would rate a complete zero if possible. Absolutely no customer service. Tried to return a item that was only tried once and was beyond terrible. Tried to return it and their horrific manger Lance was completely stuck up and said it was empty and wouldn’t. The item was used once! Tried to talk to him and he just got more and more arrogant. Said have a nice day and walked away. Being a rouge member and spending nearly $3000 a year at that store not including my entire family who are all rouge members also but we will never ever buy anything from them ever again! Someone like him should never work in retail and should be fired.

Totally disappointed with this Sephora. I came in twice to get an oxygenating facial and once for a mini facial, spending $500 in two weeks to get more information in terms of skin care that would be good for me. After my facial yesterday I got a sty under my right eye and spoke to 4 different people in this Sephora, including the manager, of whom laughed when I told him and asked if they could do anything. All he said was to go to the doctor. I will be bringing this up with Sephora Headboard because not only was it an inconvenience for me and caused me an eye infection, the managers were super unprofessional and rude.

Love hate relationship with this store. I’ve attended their free lessons and the ladies who instructed it were phenomenal and usually the staff are helpful when they are approached.

But the odd time I’ve been ignored by employees which is understandable since it’s a busy location. One occasion they had a girl follow me around with the suspicion of me trying to steal when I was just taking my time reading the products to give as Christmas gifts, she gave me a basket which I put my products in and just kept watching me as she kept circling around within the aisles and kept asking me if I needed help even though I politely declined. I understand this too as I’ve worked in customer service and we have to reduce theft. There’s the possibility she was just being instructed by managers on the headset to help me and push sales, but it pretty much made me feel bad and made me wonder if I looked sketchy or something.
