Went yesterday hoping to find good brown pencil eyeliner,! Jennifer was awesome and helped me find the perfect shade,
She spent tons of time with me and let me try a dozen of them to find the right one.
She was respectful, kind, welcoming, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for! She was honest when a colour would look nice and when she felt something else would look better.

Employees are extremely pushy and do not listen when told I don't want help. I had to tell the same people multiple times as they kept interrupting me. I wanted to look by myself, and when I realised I did need help, partly because they wouldn't even give me a chance to look at the shelves before the next person asked if I needed help, I was so disgusted by their behaviour I left without buying the things I wanted. If they don't respect me enough to listen to my "no, " I automatically don't trust them, especially when commission is a factor

I was approached by 3 different Sephora employees in less than 3 minutes asking if I need something! Believe me third time it was so annoying. I told them how I felt and it was one of the manager who approached me 3rd time and she didn’t like it when I told her you are the 3rd person asking me if I need something in just few minutes. Can you guys let me shop peacefully. That manager there has the worst attitude problem! When I told the cashier about my experience she agreed to it.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went to Sephora on a Wednesday to get a foundation match. When I finally tracked someone down (I basically had to interrupt 2 sales associates who were chatting) I was shown to a mirrored spot and told that if I needed anything just let them know. The associated went back to the conversation and I was left on my own to figure out foundation names, colours, codes etc. I was there for about half an hour trying to find the right shade. Although the associates noticed me, nobody offered to help. Seemed like all the associates were busy chatting. I left feeling totally ignored.

Never coming back, staff were harassing me, forcing me to but their reccamendations and following me around. One worker was just dumping stuff into my basket telling me tk but it, I will never go there and you shouldn’t either if u don’t wanna get harassed.

Best experience ever! Employees Paris and Elizabeth were so helpful! I love those girls so much they took their sweet time to help me out with every single thing. Elizabeth was amazing and so sweet definitely asking her for help anytime i go there. Over all it’s an amazing store very neat and clean with great workers! I loved it

Today I brought my 10 year old daughter to Sephora for the first time as she wanted to purchase something for her skin care routine. She loves taking care of her skin and been regularly on top of her skin care at night and in the morning. She was interested in purchasing Glow Recipe Watermelon Dew Drops. We went to the area and a girl name Ateris Or Arteris asked if me and my daughter needed help. We asked her if there’s any of the watermelon dew drops mini in stock. She asked very rudely “why do you need it? ” I didn’t answer her because she doesn’t need to know why my daughter needs it. And then she sad “it’s out of stock” we asked her if she can get us the package up there cause it comes with the Dew drops and the cleanser and mousturizer. She also asked again very rudely “why do you need it? ” And she has the audacity to say “I feel sorry for you. ” I asked “excuse me.why do you feel sorry for me? ” And she goes “There are kids coming here telling their parents what to get and they don’t need any of this. She doesn’t need this. She shouldn’t be using this product for her skin. ” First of all I didn’t ask you for your opinion, we asked you to get the product for us. Second of all, my daughter doesn’t wear make up, I want her to take care of her skin and you are able to introduce skin care products and self care to your kids as early as you want to. And third of all, I’m purchasing products from your store and you are not selling it well, you are in the wrong industry. This was the worse 1st experience my daughter had at Sephora, please have this girl let go. I am still in shock and disgusted by the way she treated me and my daughter such trauma. The girls at the front cashier was able to help me at the end because I told them what Arteris had said to me and my daughter. Arteris whatever your name is you made my daughter feel bad about herself because she want skin care products and wants to take care of her skin. You should not be judging my 10 year old daughter for wanting to purchase skin care products. Thank you to the girls at the front who made my daughter feel better and the manager who had to speak with Arteris. I hope she learns her lesson and I hope she doesn’t put any other kid or pre teen through this again. Sephora you need to properly choose who you hire because I would not recommend Arteris to the Beauty Industry as she judges anyone who is taking care of their skin. Arteris is disrespectful, rude and an awful person. I Don’t know if she was just having a bad day, but way to ruin me and my daughter’s time shopping before school starts.

Called and asked if I could have something put on hold for my husband to pick up. Employee who answered the phone was pretty rude. She told me “if it’s ten items I can’t go find all that”. I let her know it was three items from the same company. She took down all the info (apparently). My husband went to pick up and the items were not held. A waste of my time and his.

To crowded, I got a headache from all the perfumes. None of the staff could find what I needed my son was the one that found my stuff for, and he's not into makeup at all. They do have good products but I felt very dismissed by the staff

Not the best Sephora in Calgary. I actually work in the mall, and wanted to stop by before my shift. The first time I went in, I talked to an associate about the difference between two moisturizers and explained how I am severely allergic to most things and have highly sensitive skin. She took me to a moisturizer that was over $150 (I told her my price range was $20-$30) then proceeded to apply it onto me after expressing my concerns about my allergic reaction. Sure enough, I had an allergic reaction in the store. Then, I went back after doing heavy research - the item I was after was out of stock. I asked the sales associate when they would be getting it in and the associate proceeds to gaslight me saying they don’t sell the product, I show her items tester and marketing, then proceeds to tell me 3 different dates of when the item would be arriving. The last time I went in, the associate said they haven’t gotten the item in a while, and proceeded to tell me to order online (great interaction and what I wanted in the first place). As someone who works in retail in a similar industry, I could not believe the treatment I got - especially the associate who proceeded to put product on me after saying no. I hate going into this Sephora and would advise people to take the trip south to go to another location.

I absolutely hate the customer service at this particular location. The cashiers are really sweet and friendly, but the other employees who walk around never try to help or greet me. Isn't that what they are supposed to do though? Every time I come here, I'll see these employees just walk around or swatch things on their hands. I see them look up at me, but never even say hi or ask how they can help. They just totally ignore me. One time, I did approach an employee who was randomly swatching eyeshadow colors on their hand and asked them for a tinted moisturizer or skin tint recommendation. They rolled their eyes at me and spoke to me in a very hostile tone all because I was essentially asking them to do their job. I've also been to the Chinook and Core locations, and the service there is much better.

My experience at this Sephora location has always been a hit and miss. Today was definitely a miss. I came in makeup-less, hair in a bun, and dressed in sweatpants due to a doctors visit beforehand. I received judgmental and discriminatory glares from the staff. The most amusing part was going up to pay and the surprised cashier's look on her face when my Beauty Insider membership indicated Rouge status. Sephora products are great, but the store service is so far below the echelons of the brands they carry.

Never coming here again. My 13 year old daughter went to this sephora today with her friend and as soon as she walked into this store all the staff started eyeing her and following her around like a pack of wolfs, she was looking at a concealer that she wanted to buy but couldn’t afford it so walked away to leave the store and a employee ran at her and accused her for putting the concealer in her pocket so she started patting her down like crazy. Of course they found nothing. I am very upset about this and we will never go back.

I hate leaving poor reviews for stores but, I was unable to exchange an item due to an injury of which I had proof for & had called in previously to confirm it would be okay that my exchange would be 1 day late because of my injury. Upon arrival in store they had refused to exchange it (was not looking for a refund, just a different shade) and overall had a very poor experience. Will be shopping elsewhere!

I tried using my giftcard to purchase my items and I was told the giftcard was inactive. I talk to their manager and tracked down the person's account who purchased the giftcard and showed them the record. The manager turned me away and told me to call customer service. When I called customer service, they assured me the card was active and the store should have accepted it. It was a waste of my time and sephora has still not allowed me to use the gift card that they assumed me was active. They also refused to provide a refund for the card. A good example of poor customer service. On the bright side, I was helped by a worker (male) to pick out my makeup and he was very knowledgable and helpful. That's the only reason I gave the rating a 2 instead of a 0.

I always receive excellent customer service here. I know nothing about makeup after being in a cult for 17 years where women were not allowed to wear makeup, especially Pastors wives like myself. They are always extremely kind and patient with me. If anything they enjoy teaching me about whatever I talk about. I believe a Charisma helped me last time!

I hop in with a look of shock on my face at the mere concept that there could be more than one eyelash glue (which sounds like a torture device btw), hell there's even different colors. But every time I walk in to get my wife something the folks at this Sephora are super nice and friendly, helpful without being condescending or pushy, and it is greatly appreciated. Keep on keeping on, you guys are killing it.

I received a 60 minute full face makeup session from Allyson, she did an amazing job! She mentioned she was a perfectionist and it was demonstrated by how flawless my make up looked. She was so helpful with all of her tips and explanations of the products, and gave me exactly what I asked for.
I went to a cafe that night and the server told me I looked exactly like the girl that had WON the makeup contest they had hosted earlier this year, and even Sephora Canada replied to my instagram story lol! All the compliments (and confidence) thanks to you Allyson!

Service can be hit or miss, and some of the girls that work there will walk past you or turn around and flat out ignore you. For the prices, well, it's not hard to understand why I don't shop here that often

Went in the store today to pick up a mobile order I made on Monday. When driving to the store I realized that the product (then on sale when I ordered it) might not be today when I go pick up in store. Turns out I was right, it had gone off the sale.

Usually I love this Sephora. Great store, staff and overall feeling. However after today I don’t think I’ll be coming back. On to my story!

Immediately I greeted the cashier (super lovely young woman) at the front who asked me how I was doing and what I was shopping for. I greeted her back and said that I had made a mobile order but was hoping to do some browsing. She mentioned that sounded great and she’d bring the order up to the front. As I am a person who likes to be prepared, I just asked her quick if I reserved an order online when it was on sale but has gone off sale - what would the cost be today? /Is it a policy to honour the sale if it rings up regular? As a previous retail associate I always try to be an understanding and overly warm customer and knew that I may be SOL but still thought it warranted an ask. I wasn’t trying to cheat the system or force the store to honour a price after a sale.

The cashier didn’t know so she called over her manager. Two came over, I didn’t catch their names. But the one who addressed the question is the reason I’m making this review. Once hearing the question, without even scanning the product, the manager proceeded to scold me like I was her 5 year old child asking for more cookies after already having too many. I was told they would only adjust the price this one time but if it happened again they wouldn’t honour the price and I needed to make sure I was picking up during the sale time because this wasn’t how things were done. I barely said a word. She promptly turned on her heel and left leaving me feel like I had my hands slapped for purposefully trying to rip the store off by not realizing that the sale would be ending soon. I ended up not browsing and asked to purchase my order at the front instead.

I completely understand store policies and if they had told me nothing could be done I would have been fine with it. But why not ask? And why be so rude when asked a question?

The sales associate and other manager were lovely, I have no qualms with them. But if the other manager is regularly speaking to customers and her staff that way? I think something needs to be addressed among their leadership team.

Oh, also no price overrides needed to occur. The system automatically honoured the initial sale price from the barcode on my order when scanned.

I know me not shopping there means nothing to the store, they’re not losing anything from my small amount of business.

I just hope someone reads this and checks in with the staff to make sure they’re being treated kindly.

I went in looking to purchase several items: concealer, bb creme, bronzer, lip colour, and setting spray, and left with only one, due to the floor manager constantly pulling away any assistance I was able to locate in the store. The makeup staff is excellent, when you can get their help, but management could use a great deal of improvement in customer interfacing.

I had never stepped foot in a Sephora store before yesterday. I didn’t believe in skin care and quality of products.but I’m ageing and have some skin issues that have recently gotten worse. I made the appointment hoping to get a little bit of advice from a professional. To be honest, I had my doubts about the kind was person I was going to encounter, I am shy and uncomfortable in a setting like that. When Molly introduced herself to me she was genuine, down to earth, understanding and listened to every word I said. When she went and picked product for me it was like she read my mind when I didn’t feel like I said a lot. I am not familiar with any skin care/make up products so my lack of knowledge made me probably a little more vague than a professional is used to. She tailored my time with her to be completely individualized. I didn’t feel like she was trying to push products or sales on me, but I was so impressed with her professionalism and the way she taught me about the benefits of the products that she used with me that I just had to go home with all but two. Molly was so incredible that I hope I can always go back and see her, she is so very talented and has cutting edge skills to make the client satisfied. I am so happy with my makeover and purchases from Sephora. Thank You!

Came to purchase a gift set that was on sale but it had just sold out a few minutes before I got there. I talked to an employee (Jem) and told her how sad I was about it being sold out and she explained that they just got a shipment so she could go through and check if there were new sets in there. After a while she came back with a whole bunch for me! She definitely went the extra mile for me and I was so happy she did!

Went there and was looking at a beauty product but they didn’t have a tester so i opened the package just to look inside, and instead of kindly telling me that we can’t open products she snatched it out of my hand. Was a very rude experience i thought about it a lot after and just became more and more shocking. Nothing bad against Sephora just this one employee was not very pleasant.

On my last visit was extremely disappointed in the customer service. I do most of my shopping online and had gone into the store for a return. My usual product, the Kerastase mask, had changed its formula and the scent. I was not happy with it after one use. When I brought the product in to return, the girl at the counter made a scene smelling it, questioning me, even bringing over two other girls to smell the product as if I had replaced it with something else. I was mortified in how I was being treated. Sephora is known for being a company with fantastic customer service. This trip has made me rethink making purchases here.

Shockingly poor customer service. I used the Drunk Elephant C-Tango eye cream once and it gave me a chemical burn under my eyes. When I returned both eye creams to this store (one product I bought as a back up which was unopened), the cashier, Sandy, made a whole scene - in front of a full line of customers - by opening up the product, holding it up to the light, double checking with the manager, and finally processing the return. When asked about this intensive vetting process, she stated that if I used any more than the amount in the bottle, the return would have been denied. Not only did I use the product ONCE (why would I continue using it if it gave me a chemical burn?) and the other product was UNOPENED, but I confirmed with the manager, Leanne, that this was NOT store policy, there's no rule on how much product needs to be in the container in order for Sephora to approve the return.

Sandy made me feel extremely uncomfortable and her actions implied that I was lying or trying to steal from Sephora. My mother who was with me was appalled at how I was being treated given that I spend thousands at this store.

When relaying how I felt to the manager, she appeared defiant, apathetic, and kept reiterating that this was their store policy. I've never experienced this much hassle returning products to Sephora (or anywhere for that matter) in the past and, if it is true that their store policy is to conduct a robust check on their products before returning them, akin to airport security, i'm taking my business elsewhere.

Employees in the store purposely looked at me with my stroller and turned around and walked away. Overheard one employee tell another "Yea I see a stroller and automatically turn around". I had to ask someone to help me, even though there are 20 employees doddling in different aisles. The same employee came and even asked someone else to help.
Awful attitudes, especially to a new mom, already exhausted and worried about going out in public with a baby.

Lots of variety of brands and products. They have a skin care section, makeup and a perfumes section. Some of the makeup brands available in store are: makeup forever, NARS, urban decay, Fenti beauty, Sephora, Huda Beauty, Dior, Chanel, Guerlain, LM and many more. Skin care brands: Caudalie, drunk elephant, clariol and many more. The staff are OK, not everyone is friendly there, when colour matching (for foundations especially) you better help yourself finding the right shade. Overall it’s a nice store.

Very friendly, I walked it and was greeted, I asked the gentleman where i go for my appointment, he told me he would find me my advisor, while I was waiting for my advisor I had another employee walk to me and ask if I needed any help finding anything, really nice staff but my advisor Joelle she is AMAZING I wish I could give her more stars, she really listened to my concerns and found the right makeup I was looking for, very knowledgeable, and showed me some really cool tricks I never even knew. I recommend people should go to Joelle and get their makeup by her, she's very talented, highly recommend this location.

Too bad I don't know her name but this elder Asian lady with somewhat short hair with glasses was extremely rude when she saw me using my phone in the store. I was only looking up the products online and she told me no pictures or videos in super rude, disrpectful and condescending attitude from a distance. I was embarrassed because I was told in such a disrespectful manner. If she wants to inform her customer about the store policy, she should first make sure what I was up to instead of suspecting from a far distance and accused the innocent person. She didn't even give me a chance to explain and said whatever she wanted very rudely and walked away. One of the other Sephora staff saw this and told me the way she spoke was rude too. Anyone who heard how she presented herself would agree with me if they were here. I will never go back to this particular Sephora because of that Asian lady in glasses.

Staff at this location are always very helpful and provide great service. I love their skin fit service. I recently had one with Theresa. She picked great products for my skin and had great recommendations & advice. When I need skincare products, this is the place I go!

I was there today and need help with a product. One of the girls, can’t remember her name but her name starts with an A (that’s what is said on my sample bottle) was supposed to help me and she was behaving as she was in hurry. Like, ah, you just need a sample (Thant’s how I felt but she didn’t behave anything in that regards) And then she gave me 2 drops of foundation as a sample. I am not a big makeup fan but I alway buy from the Bay or Sephora.
At chinook, I never had an unpleasant experience.

Rude staff. Was told to leave an aisle because they were helping another client, “I’m helping a client, you need to move”. Not impressed with the low level of customer service. As well, all the testers are dug out and dirty, not a good look. A very off putting experience, I will not be returning.

My mother’s experience: waited 30 minutes, no one comes for help as she waits for the next available advisor. “We have a lot of people in the store you are next” wait another 15 minutes. Have 4 people walking around uselessly. This is how you guys treat your customers? Please have staff that can actually help your walk in clients or cut your pay roll that are just walking around aimlessly.

Iv had a mixture of good and bad experiences at this store, but yesterday Shelby listened to all the questions my friend and I had, got us samples and helped us shade match, while also making great recommendations for other products (which we bought) as well was honest about what products she likes and didn't like. As someone who doesn't know a lot about makeup (and maybe doesn't do it the best) its really helpful having someone put the time in to help you out! Looking forward to going back after trying out these shades!

After being hit in the back of the head by a dumb girl who looks like clown
on Star Trek here they don't know what there doing they are bullies, they make fun of other customers on there head sets, yet they aren't willing to apologized for there uncalled for behaviour instead they band me for 3 years from all there stores across Canada.yeah okay thats a great way to handle a customer oh i forgot to mention they racially profile and accuse me of fraud and theft it was a lovely shopping trip to Sephora

Really great customer service. Had to wait a little long for someone to help because they were busy but once she came she did go above and beyond expectations. Loved her makeup and she matched my skin so fast with foundations. Talking to her was like going for coffee with my best friend. Staff seem to really love their job. Love my new foundation. As someone who walked in with no makeup I wasnt expecting to be taken so seriously but sure enough my doubts went away! This location always makes me feel welcome. (Ps. Thank you, Taylor, for all your help!)
