The service I received by both my project manager and the subtrades was exceptional. They were quick to respond, communication was always clear and the quality of the assessment and work complete was very good.

Absolute terrible service. They are doing water damage cleanup in my building and when I put in the request to help in the mid-evening, they came banging on my door at 2 in the morning demanding they had to service now. Completely unprofessional.

Edit: If you are reading this review, they did nothing about this. Didn't even apologize just begged me to take the review down. Again, if you need restoration services, just go elsewhere, save the headache.

The project manager did not fully evaluate the damage which ended up causing further issues. He full out lied and was super unprofessional in repair. ServiceMaster- damaged a wall and refused to repair until I looped in insurance. They did not provide subcontractors access and seemed more motivated by what insurance would pay than doing a good job such as painting the sides of baseboards but not the top as the manager told me insurance would not pay for it. It was super difficult to deal with this company and I would not hire them again.

I had a catastrophic water leak in my home, flooding part of all three floors of the house. In unison with my insurance company, ServiceMaster responded within hours and immediately after assessment, they brought in crews and equipment to make my home safe, mopping up the standing water. They had the proper equipment to dry things. All the damaged dry wall and ceiling were efficiently removed and they protected all things that survived the flood from further damage. With over 20 ServiceMaster crew in our home at times, I found them all professional, polite and responsive as were the Project Manager, Jim and the Site Supervisor, Matt. My home got dry, future mold problems minimized and now ready for the restoration. I hope you never have a situation like mine, but if you do, ServiceMaster are the pros you want and need. Richard

The company was efficient in addressing the roofingg leaks through discovery and repair. The only area that they were not good, was in responding to my request's for a response on a plan forward after their inspection of the roof. In my view, 2 or so weeks to respond is not a acceptable time period, please note, there was no response even indicating a response is delayed.

My wife and I learned firsthand that a flooded basement is not an easy thing to deal with or fix. Thankfully, we had ServiceMaster to repair and replace damaged studs, drywall, and baseboards, followed by reinstalling our carpet. The whole experience began on a positive note with an extremely reasonable estimate provided by Bobbi, who was friendly, empathetic and understanding. She answered all of our questions and made my wife and I feel like we were in very good hands (which proved to be the case). Next was Darrell, who repaired our wall, installed new insulation, drywall, and baseboards, mudded and sanded the walls to perfection, matched the color of the other walls, and painted it to match exactly. He was friendly, considerate, punctual and highly skilled at his craft. Gary then reinstalled our carpet under the new baseboards, and Olga came in to do a cleaning of the basement. From start to finish, I can't say enough about ServiceMaster, their amazing ambassador Bobbi, and the restoration team who brought our basement back to good-as-new condition. My wife and I are thrilled with the results and grateful for the friendly, professional service. Our sincere thanks to Bobbi, Darrell, Gary, Olga and the rest of the ServiceMaster team for going above and beyond our expectations. Hopefully our flooding woes are over, but if we ever need repairs again, we know who to call.

My insurance company hired this company for flood repairs. The work was terrible! Their response afterwards was also terrible! If possible do not use them!

My unfortunate experience was due to 2 water jugs leaking. That company called Service master. A gentleman by the name of Josh Maude came in assessed the situation and promised me the world. Agreed to everything I said and what I requested and gave me his word this job would be done by the following Monday which would have been a week of my basement in a mess, as all of my pantry items needed to be moved out of the room and the carpet pulled to be dried. The staff came in and placed the dryers for a few days then came back and was going to remove all dryers and I asked why underlay had not been lifted and dried. The staff member said I don't know let's look, and of course it was soaking wet he then called his manager Josh, and they agreed that the dryer which I might add puts off a ton of heat, needs to be left there and the underlay needed to be cut out as the cement had a pool of water on it and of course had absorbed into the cement. I have been in continuous contact with Josh with no response other than to tell me that he is sent a contractor to come in which I never heard from. I have not heard from Josh in 5 days. If I could advise someone that is in the same situation as myself, I would highly recommend a different company!
DO NOT USE THIS COMANY! Unless you want to be living in a disarray for several weeks. Hate to see what would have happened if this was a larger flood and it was my whole house.

Absolutely wonderful company to deal with! They fixed my bathroom quickly and efficiently. This company was recommended through insurance, but I’ve kept their card for future jobs o might need because it was such a fantastic experience. Polite, accommodating and very helpful. Made the whole experience so much easier and I highly recommend them.

These guys will destroy your furniture and blatantly deny it afterwards. They claim to take before and after photos but after rendering your furniture worthless, they refuse to provide said photos. If you use this company you will be forced to spend thousands of dollars to replace said furniture. BE WARNED! Chose your remediation company very wisely!

It’s been a nightmare! We flooded the beginning of May Ana here it is July and they won’t come finish the job. They’ve already been paid in full from our insurance company. They put our belongings into a storage trailer on my driveway, locked it and didn’t leave a key. I can not even retrieve my own belongings. I have business files I can not get access to that we need. They tell us they are coming and they don’t even show up. They don’t return phone calls. Stay away from these guys!

We had a water leak in the basement while we were out of the country. ServiceMaster was on site early the next morning with the adjuster and performed all the remediation activities to ensure any water damage was dealt with. They also did the reconstruction work. The entire experience was painless, prompt, and professional. Each tradesperson was on time, communicated thoroughly, and cleanup was exemplary. Highly recommend!

Phoned them three times in the last three weeks and they always apologize, and say someone will call me they have yet to call me. I won't use their services, even if they wanted to give it to me free.

We had a flood in our home on July 2. Within 30 minutes of making the call to ServiceMaster, we had a site supervisor at our home. Within 2 hours of that we had gentlemen at our home bringing fans to dry out walls, floors etc. Consistent great work on the communication and also the coordination of repairing our home. We needed asbestos abatement, a complete gut of our basement area, drywall, painting, new flooring up and downstairs. A huge job that was completed within 2.5 weeks which included packing up our house and brining all furniture and boxes back and setting up and cleaning. Jason, our site supervisor, was incredible, consistently checking with us, dropping by to ensure work was going as expected. Amazing service! I would highly recommend this company for any kind of issues!

The Account Manager Jim and his team Dominque and Matt have given exceptional service. Reports are given within 24-48 hours, the clean up, and re-built work provided comes with top quality workmanship. I would not hesitate to refer this company in the future. Thank you Team!

Very satisfied with the work completed. Crew was meticulous, friendly and eager to help. They deserve a pay raise. Only complaint was the length of time it took from demo to completion of repairs was 3 months.

I can not say enough good things about the work, communication and professionalism of ServiceMaster.

Matt was very good at keeping the communication open, checking up on the work that was completed and having something redone if he felt it wasn't up to standard (even if we didn't notice ;).

Dominique communicated the timeline to us and they all made sure it was completed as promised with no interruptions to our office work hours.

The quality of the work was excellent. It was impossible to tell that water damage repairs had been done. As important, the work was done quickly and in accordance with the estimated time frame.

The project manager came in overlooked process a few times and once finally on completion. Very pleased with the results and timeliness.

Jim, Dominique and Matt were such a stellar team: our project was long and complicated and had many delays, I am happy for their concern and communication, it really helped calm our anxiety about our home and what would happe, specially when we found further issues; In the end it was great to just let them do their thing and coordinate some great trades and service, would recommend! Also best of luck to anyone with a claim, it's a large disruption, specially these days!

It saddens me to have to write this after speaking very highly of servicemaster but due to a couple of unprofessional employees I am changing my review. I have not worked there in over 2 months and yet a few of my ex coworkers like to take it upon themselves to speak badly about me in a whatsapp group of employees sharing what would've been my schedule with everyone in the group. I would like to know where the confidentiality is? Unfortunately I am not the only victim of these. The person who fills in as the content manager when needed likes to belittle site supervisors as well. Very unprofessional!

Thanks to McRae Fisher (Project Manager), Jason Bercier (Supervisor), Bailey Nickel (Project Coordinator) and the whole ServiceMaster Calgary team for the work they did in restoring our home after a flood which affected all three levels of our home this past winter. The project included replacement of hardwood flooring on two levels of the house and the staircase between them and complete replacement of our kitchen cabinets. Their work, including coordination of the various subcontractors, was done in a professional and timely manner with attention to the quality of the finished work and the detail that involved.

Service Master was above and beyond amazing. Mcrae and his team cleaned up everything and then supported us through the restoration. They made sure everything was done right. The quality of their subcontractors and the quality of their work was exceptional. I hope we never need them again BUT they will be the First people we call. Frankly, even if we have a non emergency need to renovate, I would be wanting some of their trades to do it, the workmanship was that good. Lastly, they were not done until we were happy, that is why you want them when a flood happens.

We recently had water damage to our bathroom which ultimately resulted in the bathroom having to be completely renovated. The water leak was first discovered when we noticed floor tiles cracked near the toilet. A closer look revealed the sub-floor was soaked and turning black. I was concerned about the potential of mold and contacted Service Master, to see if they could send someone over. Within an hour or so, McRae Fisher from Service Master was on site and inspecting the bathroom area.

After his initial inspection, McRae found that the leak had spread underneath the tile area and into the adjacent bedrooms, on either side of the bathroom. McRae took the time to explain the issues to us and started the claim immediately. We were able to contact our insurance company and got our claim in the works right away.

Throughout the entire process whenever we had questions, we were able to contact McRae directly or received timely call backs with answers. How refreshing to actually have someone answer your calls these days.or return it in a timely manner! Further, McRae worked with our insurance company (TD Insurance), and ensured that there was a smooth transition through each stage of the the process, resulting in everything being completed from start to finish in about three weeks.fantastic!

Additionally, McRae arranged for the appropriate tradesmen to attend at the appropriate times through the various stages of the demolition and repair. The tradesmen (and women) McRae sent over to us were nothing less than fantastic! Nothing like the horror stories I have heard from friends, who have had work performed at their houses by contractors. The work was flawless and the actual workers were friendly and obviously skilled.

I would recommend Service Master to anyone who finds themselves in our position. Make sure you ask for McRae Fisher!

They were recommended to me though my insurance provider last year. They completed the work, it was fine, then all the damage showed back up a few months later. I called them to inspect their work, nobody has called me back in over a month, voicemails are always full, and they seem not interested in standing behind their warranty. DO NOT USE!

I recently had a water loss in my home and Service Master Calgary were the responding restoration contractor. Adam Bell and his team were amazing to work with. They were clean, polite, prompt and so helpful. Adam's communication was excellent and his easy going personality definitely helped in such a stressful situation.

So glad I was told to take a lot of pictures and so glad I record my calls for my own reference and protection. I have proof of the unprofessionalism of this company. Also I kept a watchful eye on the work. They did not follow the insurance companies instructions and then on the report tried to say it was my fault there were holdups. I kept in constant contact with my insurance adjuster, not only me but another 3rd party though the insurance provided, who again ServiceMaster did not listen to. Good job ServiceMaster manager good job! Signed the USED, ABUSED AND THROWN TO THE CURB!

UPDATE: The customer service from the general manager was just as bad as the on-site experience. Making up a lot of excuses, which alone I could prove wrong with photographic evidence that was provided to an employee, along with the calls and emails. The invoice from ServiceMaster alone provided proof that ServiceMaster is a deceitful company out to get all your insurance money for work not rendered, and items not used, OR work done by another company. They were ill prepared and this shows from management level down. They are excuse makes and money takes at the WORST and LOWEST points in people's lives.

Luckily the work has not started because the Estimate is poorly done. It is technically a Contract Agreement and it is incomplete. They did not itemize everything on it (i.e. Table, sofa, chair, etc.). Don't understand why and how they made calls on certain items to get cleaned, but another identical items not? Many items are not even listed out on the Contract. Oh boy.

ServiceMaster's entire team - from the project lead, through the site manager, scheduler and trades - delivered a fantastic job in a thoroughly professional manner.

From the very moment that they were on site to assist with the immediate results of our flood, through the work to repair the damage, ServiceMaster never stopped communicating, showing up when they said they would and delivering a great result. I could not recommend them enough.

I had water damage in my home and was contacted by Greg at ServiceMaster who was assigned to me by my insurance company. Greg was in touch with me within hours of me making the claim to my insurance company and got the ball rolling on everything. Greg’s people dealt with everything as far as cleanup to remove everything that was wet and today, the final piece of quartz was put in place. Greg got back to me very quickly with any email I sent or call I made and made arrangements around my schedule. Greg was excellent at communicating everything that was happening and who would be coming, when they were coming and what they were going to do. I really appreciated everything that ServiceMaster did for me and I would highly recommend this company.

So this review is a few months late, but earlier this year we had a small kitchen fire and we weren't sure if it was the kind of thing that we could/should clean up ourselves safely or if it was something we needed to get a restoration company in to do for us. Dave from Service Master went above and beyond and took time to talk to me on the phone and answer my questions. I appreciated his openness and honesty and willingness to help! He wasn't in a hurry to get off the phone and also wasn't trying to sell me all sorts of needless expensive services. Rather, he was just open and clear and up front about what he'd recommend. I'd recommend these guys if you need help with a disaster situation.
