Chicken is good, however they raised their prices I noticed within the last while and it’s quite pricey now. Not sure if I’ll be back here for a while.
Nowhere to sit, for take out only. Service is always ok, not much to be done.
SFC OG 8/10 SFC BBQ 6/10 Garlic Soy 7.5/10 Onion Lover 7/10 Cilantro Lime 6.5/10 G. P. Cheese 9/10 Golden Kari 8/10
These are just my opinions. Overall, it's good chicken with great sauces. Fast and friendly service. Parking can be a hassle during peak hours. Also, be warned that sometimes they might sell out of chicken, so they will close before their actual closing time.
The mac & cheese pesto was delicious, but the name is very misleading since I was expecting actual mac & cheese. The barbecue, Korean fried chicken was pretty good, my only issue was with the OG classic chicken, can you say dry cause that’s all it was.
After my order got rejected by 2 different delivery drivers. I called the restaurant to confirm the food will get made fresh.
Before I even had a chance to explain the vile "person" (who claimed to be the manager) answered the phone. She was extremely aggressive before I even had a chance to say anything or explain.
She consistently spoke over me kept shouting and and wasn't open to hear what I had to say.
When I was finally able to get a word out, she interrupted me and kept saying that the food was picked up. I tried to explain that it wasn't picked up, and that the driver canceled.
She kept pushing my buttons until i got agitated and I raised my voice. She got even more aggressive, insulted me before hanging up in my face.
If this who you have leading the team I am worried for your restaurant.
BBQ was not as sweet as I remember and prices just went up significantly. I'm guessing this is due to their second location opening. I might not return for a while.
Just had a coworker tell me about this place. We where in the area so what the hell. Went in and ordered the little Seoul. It was awesome the chicken was juicy and crispy. The fries where homemade which I never had in years. I'd recommend stopping in.
I ordered delivery thru ubereats. The soy chicken sauce got mixed up with the GP fried chicken. The GP doesnt have much flavor even if I asked them to toss it. I paid $50 for this but the quality of the food and packaging is poor. So disappointed.
Decent food. Sometimes the flavours vary on intensity like the bbq being spicier than other days but nothing to complain about. Always come here if I feel like having some chicken and some drinks at home.
Had the Big Seoul, came with 5 pieces of soy garlic chicken, thick cut fries, kale salad and a pop. Money to food wise it's one of the best value meals in the city. Soy garlic chicken was crispy, tasty and the soy garlic sauce they use is my favourite in the city. Dunking fries in left over sauce is delicious. My one complaint is all the other sides/side salads at SFC are just alright. I have tried most of the sides and most of them are fine but skippable
This last visit was a slap in the face, I ordered online, and my order was not prepared until I spoke to the cashier. I was waiting almost 30 mins until I spoke up. People coming after me were scooping orders like hotcakes. More signage, do not have people waiting for orders that don't exist. Do yourself a favour, pay online.do not wait in the line or your car for a text. When I got home to eat my chicken, it was like I ordered plain, the sauce was almost non existent on my bbq and soy combo. The chicken is always crispy and juicy.not this time! SFC, it's difficult to give poor reviews, but i will change if make sure this was a mistake. Be prepared to look for parking!
I Was just at this location to get my order to go. When I got home 5 minutes later I discovered I received cold food. Chicken and fries were cold and old. How can a manager allow staff to hand out cold food don’t they do a food check before handing it out to a customer. I called to speak to a manager and he couldn’t even speak English properly and didn’t understand what I was telling him he had to get someone else to the phone to talk to me. If your going to have a person who’s been promoted to a manager make sure they can speak and understand English.my question is.where are the city inspectors to hand out fines for restaurants who do this stuff, someone is going to get sick. I will never eat here again it was disgusting.
Best Korean fried chicken in town! Super crispy and moist! However I wouldn’t pay extra for the onion sauce - it didn’t come with any green onions and it was as just sweet hot mustard. Otherwise, I would have given them 5 stars.
Crispy, perfectly seasoned fried chicken with flavorful sauce! Eating with your fingers is not only acceptable, it's all but required. It seems like they always give you an extra piece of delicious chicken than what you pay for. We ordered online and waited for more than 30 minutes in the parking lot, but let me tell you it's worth the wait. My favourite is GP Cheese, the saltiness of the cheese and hint of zest and parsley just worked together.
My family's favourite place for Korean fried chicken. They have the best selections and prices are reasonable for the portions they serve. It's the closest to what you'd get in Korea. Absolutely delicious
Not much on the menu and its all bone in chicken, was way to seasoned that I couldn't finish. Sorry maybe I just had a bad one so I recommend to people to try it yourself and let me know what you think
Usually Seoul Fried chicken is always a hit! But this past year I've gotten soggy and very fatty chicken not to mention my order on September 2,2021 I found a long piece of black hair in my G. P Cheese chicken. Very disgusted and disappointed. I don't think I'll be able to order again.
Delicious, will definitely go back again. The kale Caesar was refreshing to have, the dressing had a nice bite to it like a spicy aioli dressing. Chicken was crispy and tasty, portions were just right.
Amazing fried chicken with really delicious flavours such as garlic soy, curry, Korean BBQ, and more. Very reasonably priced as well. Best in Edmonton hands down.
If you are scrolling through the reviews to figure out what flavors to get, just pick BBQ and Onion Lover. Both sauces have an underlying sweetness; the BBQ has a touch of heat while the mustard dip has some nice acidity to it. Try them once and get ready to basically just repeat order them from that point on.
They are delicious as usual. They were generous with sauce but as they get popular. Less sauce is used to cook. Just got an order, they taste like just Fried Chicken instead of soy garlic
Well.the kale caesar salad was lovely, the homecut fries were nice and hot, the soy-garlic sauce was tasty, the chicken was hot and ready when I arrived to pick-up, but, only 1 of the pieces was plump and tender. The rest were mostly fried skin, small bits of overcooked chicken and a lot of bone. And the chicken should be the highlight! Too bad as we almost batted 100%!
Completely disappointed that buying a 10 piece gets you 3 or 4 full pieces cut up to make 10 bite size pieces. For the same price I can get 9 full pieces from KFC that don't just taste of the grease they're fried in. We were very displeased.
Getting off a plane and coming straight here was the best decision we made. We had chicken for 3 days. The chicken is out standing and this needs to come to Ontario like yesterday. The food is so good and taste amazing. When I go back to Alberta you know I will be headed there cause there is no place in Ontario that could compete with their style. It's even good microwaved. Please expand to ontario!
Food, staff, and most importantly the chicken is great! What I can say however, is that they run out of chicken at around 5pm. If you guys can keep up on orders and demand then i'll give you a 5/5. Delicious amazingggg chicken though! 10/10 on that!
Friendly staff, super fast (faster than those fast food places), great tasting chicken thats way better and cheaper than KFC, Popeye and Mary Brown's. I honestly don't know how they do it. My first visit and just perfect amount of choice for me to select from without getting overwhelmed. I will be back again to try the rest, I have to!
OH MY WORD THIS IS THE BEST CHICKEN I’VE EVER HAD! I’m yelling because it’s THAT good. We just kept saying “Oh, Wow! ” in between each delicious bite. I highly recommend this place. If I could, I would eat this every night!
The last time i ordered here was when they opened, and I gotta say the service is alot faster and more organized than before. I got my order as scheduled and on time! Its a miracle! Didn't have to wait 2 hours. Guess all the hype died down?
I would definitely give it a 3.5 (if I could) SFC is consistently tasty and decently priced. If you haven't tried it, DO! The GP Cheese and Garlic Soy are great.
However, a recent visit was a little disappointing as it was unorganized chaos that made for an uncomfortable experience. Their recent renovation has created a long narrow hallway where people go in and order and wait in the hallway and then there is also a "preorder line" door outside (one pickup window for all orders) so in effect there were people inside and outside waiting for their orders and other people trying to cut the queue with no intervention from staff while they would randomly yell out order names that also had no pertinence to preorders and it was super crowded.
It would be great if they could come up with a system that was less frenetic and more seamless.
In conclusion, get it/try it/support them but be prepared!
BEST CHICKEN EVER.i swear, everyone i take here, LOVES IT and can not believe they havent tried it before. Their salad and fries are also so fantastic! When i havent had SFC in a while, i actually crave it.
My boyfriend and I loved the curry flavour chicken! And we loved the whole concept of how they serve it in those little pizza looking boxes, and the different chicken flavours and unique different salads.:)
SFC is a fantastic place. The chicken is always good. Personally enjoy all the flavors on the menu. One of the best places for fried chicken in Edmonton!
Super tasty birds. Bring a friend or two. They have a lot of side options. More friends means more sides and more sharing. Fried chicken, like most Korean food, is best when shared with friends.possiblity after a good night drinking.
Love this place! I think this is the first five-star review I've ever given. They really do deserve it, as they've nearly perfected everything.
Location: Easily accessible by walking, driving, or taking transit.
Restaurant/kitchen: It would be nice if the eating area was somehow separate from the area of people waiting to pick up their food and leave because it does get crowded sometimes. Other than that, it's a nice cozy place to sit down.
Food: Great food that is fairly inexpensive. My normal order is a five-piece chicken dinner with one side (mac n cheese), house fries, and a drink - FOR ELEVEN DOLLARS. This is why I keep going back.
The best fried chicken in Edmonton. Bar none. Garlic soy is an explosion of flavour in your mouth. You can also get 10 pcs of fried chicken for $13.00, which is pretty good bang for your buck. The chicken is also very crispy and never soggy.
Got the original to go with kimchee, slaw, pesto mac and cheese and kale salad. Thumbs up on everything, altho the mac and cheese is more of a macaroni salad.
Chicken is perfectly seasoned, moist, super crunchy without any greasiness; all the checkboxes of Korean-style fried chicken.
Prices are reasonable - $24 for a full order of ~20 pieces. Space is cozy and limited; if you have a big group, takeout is a better idea. Service is fast and friendly. Small parking lot out front.
Looking forward to going back to try the rest of the menu.
This was some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. We got a 'full' order of the Korean BBQ chicken and it was pretty cheap for how much food we had (~ $27 for enough food for 4-6 people). Service was very quick, although there are not many tables inside (we were lucky to get one). The fries were also great and cheap.
I like the chicken but the service is horrible. We have ordered from here before while they were very busy and they have made a mistake. We were understanding at the time mistakes happen, but when I made a mistake when ordering we were forced to pay for the food coz I had made a mistake and also berated for being 5 mins late picking it up. We couldn’t account for the fact that we would end up driving behind a slow person and IT WAS 5 MINUTES. Just because of the rude service that is the last time we will be ordering chicken from here.
Amazing korean deep fried chicken. This is the only place I found so far that the quality is as good as some of the best places in Toronto. Definitely the best in Edmonton.
Best chicken in Edmonton! Fast and friendly service every time I can't get there near as often as I'd like to Consistency is the way here I've never been disappointed when I order here Busy place don't let that discourage you from stopping in these people know what they are doing and won't stop till you are satisfied The viarity of flavours will keep you coming back as each flavour has a uniqueness of its own You really should stop in and treat yourself to the best chicken in Edmonton
I walked in, it was crowded and unorganized, but if it’s crowded the food must be good right?
I waited in line for 20 min, I saw the prices, it said 5 piece of chicken for 8$. I was amazed at the price and thought, if something is too good too be true, it probably is.
I received my chicken 20 minutes later, so I be been there 40 minutes for a take out order:/.
I opened the box and saw tiny pieces of chicken, they were chicken wings, but I guess in Korea, wings are classified as chicken drumbs and thighs. So basically I got 5 piece hot wing for 8$.
Either today was just not my day or I didn't have the best experience. I found out about Seoul Fried Chicken about a year ago and it's been on my bucket list for this year. After a massage following an injury, I was looking forward to having SFC. The cashier was very nice and allowed me to try the sauces before I made my decision. As I was tasting the sauces, I expressed my dislike over the soy garlic and said I preferred the cilantro one, somehow I ended up with the soy garlic. It wasn't until I got inside my car that I realized I got the wrong order. When I went back to inform them, they were nice about it, but they hurriedly gave me plain fried chicken with the side in a container, they didn't take the time to marinate it like the order that was given to me which was wrong. So after all that I ended up with a box of soy garlic chicken I did not want and a box of my actual order but it was poorly done, they didn't take the time to prepare it as expected. I didn't enjoy it and frankly I'm disappointed.
I'm giving them 3 stars because it is still a nice place with nice staff but they really messed up my order.
Wow! So deliscous, so fresh and tasty. Wonderful young ladies serving up the best Chimaek in Edmonton. Very informal and very busy. Be polite, order efficiently and be rewarded. Order the corn fritters. You will be so surprised.
Great food! Wait can be a little long during the busy hours due to the small size of the business but it's always worth it. Korean BBQ sauce is especially addictive.
Great tasting chicken. Large meaty chicken pieces generously battered and skillfully deep fried so they are crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Good quantity and quality for the price. Very limited seating but great atmosphere nonetheless.
