I loved the combination of Solo acts & Triple threat acts. Super smart idea to keep people engaged.

At some point I thought the breaks btwn the ladies were long (However if I'm being fair. There were a lot of eyes glued on stage and very few ppl making it rain)

So this club is soo bias towards woman.i was so ready to get some female attention and no one came up to me at all and i was full on staring them down. Every time i went to get a drink or go to the bathroom my bf was approached and as soon as there was any mention of a girlfriend they disappeared? Paid 600 dollars and was just her dancing around and no touching aloud? I could of sat and watched on stage! Haa

It’s was my sister-in-law birthday, called Jay the manager of the place, he set everything up to be an Amazing, fun and entertaining night…. From the Limo, cake with her name, drink specials and the amazing entertainment… we Loved Ever Moment!

Went to shade for a girls night and had a blast, Jade the manager was so kind to us, treated us to champagne. The DJ was funny as hell and the girls were very talented!

Honestly super disappointed. I was excited since this was my first time in a strip club. We got swindled into VIP. No girls came up. Took forever to get drinks. I, as a woman, got completely ignored by the girls. Waste of a night and would not recommend it. Shame since the dancers doing aerial were impressive.

Had my friends bachelor party there and it was great, staff was awesome and made it a memorable night for my friend.highly recommended

Went to Shade for my birthday with some friends and my fiancé and it was amazing! This was my first time and I had such a great experience. Everyone working there were so friendly and welcoming and my whole group had such a good time all-around. Jay in particular went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after and made my birthday feel really special.

I will definitely be going back in the future and not just for my birthday!

When on Wednesday night, super great staff and jay is an awesome manager. Definitely recommend coming if you like a good time!

Shade by far is the most cleanest and well serviced bar, the girls are all babes, the servers are all kind and the managers keep their customers coming back! 12/10 for me!

I worked at shade for just over half a year. I’m writing this review from the perspective of a former employee letting other girls have some insight into what working at shade was like. I initially was hired on with the promise of being a server. About 3 months into my time working at shade my start date to become a server continued to be pushed farther and farther. They had me working as a shooter girl which was fun and in the beginning I didn’t have any issues with that position. The staff were incredible. Everyone i worked with was positive, inviting and we truly worked as a team. Jay was a fantastic manager and I really enjoyed working with him. I would’ve liked to work at shade for as long as I could but what lead to my departure was management started to get rid of shots that customers truly enjoyed. Attempting to sell shots that customers hated became very draining. I would go up to every table and be turned down because I didn’t have the shots they wanted. I felt guilty selling cheap shots for $7 a piece to people that were already hesitant about wanting them. My sales took a nosedive and management thought it was my fault for my poor sales but customers weren’t happy with the selection I had and wanted the old shots which were better quality. I pushed to be moved to a server because i knew my performance would improve if I could offer customers more selection but because of the lack of sales, management blamed me and I left shortly after 1 too many of those conversations. Overall I had a very positive experience working at shade however I think the club would benefit from a female in a management position. The girls need more protection and I felt that the bouncers had our best interests in mind more than the management when it came to dealing with unpleasant and aggressive customers. Ultimately all the staff wants shade to be a safe and positive environment for not only the staff and the dancers but customers too. But penny pinching and over charging leads to distrust and a negative experience for everyone. I hope this review is helpful and informative.

I’ve been to shades a few times now, for solo adventures or with friends, and I’ve loved it every time. They make you feel safe there, not awkward in the slightest and a very kind staff— as long as you’re kind as well. The dancers were lovely to see and to talk too as well— great personalities. Shades may just feel like it’s just any other club, but it’s truly way more scandalous. I will definitely be heading back for some more of that V. I. P atmosphere.

I can not say enough amazing things about this club. It has become my top favourite club in the city and I’ve been a returning customer for years, never a complaint. Last night was my boyfriends birthday and I contacted Jay personally and he made it a night we will both never forget! We booked the birthday package and Jay went above and beyond literally. My Boyfriend has been raving ever since we got home and I’m so so happy that it was such an amazing experience. I contacted Jay because I’ve been having some health struggles lately (on waiting list for surgery) and wasn’t able to make my boyfriends day as special as I originally wanted but Jay stepped up and made the night even better than I could have hoped for! Jay is the man, he sets you up with what you need for the night. The ladies, the drinks and the good stuff times…. This is the place to be!

Very first time in a club and won’t be the last with the gentleman’s club. The boss named Jay is very respectful and made us feel comfortable and in good hands.

The staff and women are very respectful and friendly, The prices for booths and admission are very reasonable.

When it gets crowded on the main floor, it was amazing to go upstairs and have a space to yourself/group of friends. The private dances are very well worth it and the main dances are worth watching, I enjoyed how the crowd could get involved for prizes and how comfortable it feels on the main floor/private booths

What an amazing experience. I've been to shade several times and every time I have an amazing time. Jay was so welcoming and generous to our birthday group. Josh always recognizes me as soon as we walk in the door and they all go over and above to make sure everyone is having a great night!

Went a few weeks ago never been to a big city club and it was amazing my server (think her name was Courtney) was so nice and friendly, it was amazing highly recommend this location will definitely visit next time I'm there and request her as a server!

Absolutely amazing place.always have a good time there staff and girls and respectful and always there to show you a good time and take care of you. Servers charge your debit card for drinks then run away and whine to bouncers claiming you are "difficult" and have them.throw you out. Horrible customer service I wont be back anytime soon.bought several drinks after a hockey game but apparantly that wasnt enough for these rip off artists

I have never had a worse experience at a nightclub like I had at this place. Their lack of respect, courtesy for the guests and incredibly high prices are just a few points they should improve on. I had been asked to leave just after purchasing a $20.00 beverage from the bar all because I had inquired if there were any other seats that were available because the ones that I had chosen were unknowingly reserved, which I had already been moved from a different seat for the same reason a few minutes prior. If I had known when I entered the club that there were no seats I would have gone to a different venue and spent my time and money elsewhere. To be berated and harrased by the staff is something I have never experienced by an establishment. I understand that when running a gentlemans club there would need to be a strict level of intolerance for misbehavior, however when it comes to patrons questions about comfort and experience there also needs to be a level of customer service and empathy. I was able to receive my cover fee as a refund, however my feelings of complete embarrassement and uncomfort are not returnable. To be fair the bouncer was very nice even when I made an unfortunate joke which after talking with him I did apologize as I hadn't realized it was offensive. I hope this bar is able to reflect on its shortcomings and improve so no one else has the experience that I had as I'm sure there are a lot of staff there that are great and shouldn't be judged as a whole.
*** As someone who works everyday in the customer service industry, I csn relate to the difficulties of maintaining customer satisfaction and resolving complaints. Jay the manager had reached out to me after reading the above review and has since been more than accommodating to rectify the situation and events that occurred. I'd return on my next visit to town purely just to speak with Jay and be given another chance to experience what others have written about in their 5 star reviews.

I been going to Shade since 2018 and still love this place. Even after the pandemic it's still the best club in town. Very polite staff and clean envireonment. Never get bored coming back here it will always be a blast

Got into Edmonton last night, decided to go for one beer at Shades across the street from our hotel. Once we got in we sat down and then we're immediately told that where we were sitting was reserved for the workers so we moved. Management then came up to us and kicked us out for being told that the new seats were also reserved for workers as well. The Management team did not tell us where we could/could not sit as all the available seating was apparently reserved for the workers. Terrible experience. Do not recommend.

I am coming down to Shades finally today July 17. I hope I get good experience tonight and of course I will tip everyone including door man

Had a great time last night, it was our groups first time at a strip club and they were very welcoming and showed us what to do and what was not allowed so we knew ahead of time. I very much suggest shade for anyone who wants to have a great time.

I would HIGHLY recommend this night club to anyone looking to have a good time in the Edmonton area.
First off, Jay the manager is SO accommodating and caring for his visitors at the cub. He sent a limo, which picked us up at Cactus club and then took us to the night club around midnight.
We came for my girls 28 bday, and got the both front and center of the club, the view was amazing, and fit all 6 of us comfortably. We had room to move and groove, and watch all the girls dance on stage. Jay let me come in early around 9pm to decorate our booth (I wish I took pics but I was waaaay too excited) and it turned out phenomenal! We had big number '28' balloons, confetti, birthday streamers and balloons around the booth. He checked on us all night and made sure the birthday girl got a bottle of champagne and a round of shots for all of us. He then surprised us with an additional bottle of champagne which tasted so good. It was so fun because it was amateur night and the place was POPPIN! So much energy and positivity surrounding the place. And all the dancers are super cute and charming.
If you get a chance to come here i would SO check it out, and if you have someone bday you want to celebrate Jay will totally take care of you!

I booked my friend’s stag here. Jay promised a great time and he didn’t disappoint! Our entire group received top service, Jay ensured everything went off without a hitch.

There's never been a time i've gone and haven't had a good time! All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I'm always greeted at the door, as well as made sure everything goes well once I get a table. The bouncers are great and always make me feel safe, as well as the entertainment and dancers are fantastic!

Came here for my 24th birthday on March 12th right before the shut down. We paid quite a bit for a VIP table with my 3 friends. They did give me free shots for my birthday but that's all I got. For that reason I will give 4 stars. Women are beautiful. We probably spent about 3 bands on dances that night. Coming back the weekend of November 20th for my friends 23rd birthday. Hopefully his birthday experience is a bit better.

Former employee here. Was a great stage-show bar until Diamonds burned down, then management became obsessed with the private dances and let stage quality, pay and job safety suffer.

Wasn't going to leave a review at all but I keep getting phone calls from staff accusing me of negative reviews? So figured I'd give them one. It's a shame, because Shade had a phenomenal reputation and was at one point doing good for breaking the stigma of strip clubs - but they decided "screw that, lets follow what the other, less successful clubs were doing instead". Loved the place. Woulda applied to come back in a heartbeat if they just cut their losses on a project they made manager after several years of him clearly just not learning what other management picked up in months. Only business in Western Canada that has 6 managers and an owner for a staff of about two dozen.

Love this place! Great Staff with great Drink deals and Party packages! Wensdays Are me and My Girlfriend's Favorite day to go, She gets to participate in amature night And Feels so empowered For The rest of the week! Dj Dave and Snowflake are Hilarious All while keeping the Groove going. Can't wait to be back next week.

Been working at shade for over a year now and have to say the staff and management are all great! I always feel safe there and I've never had a bad experience with any of my co workers or management. I see all the staff trying their best to make sure everyone coming into shade has a good experience. I highly recommend shade for a fun, entertaining and safe night out

I went to shade last week for amature night and it was amazing. All the staff are so friendly and nice they always made sure our table was taken care of. Jay the manager is an absolute sweetheart treated me like gold and was just a huge upside to our whole night. Will 100% be going back there again

Today, I visited SHADE for my second time in just over two years and I would recommend it over any other establishment in the city.

They have low cover charge, coat check, they offer reasonable prices on drinks and promos for birthday parties and stags with plenty of highly-talented and beautiful performers!

BUT, tonight wasn’t my favourite visit at all.

I chose to bring a friend for their first visit, as they’d just recently turned 18 I thought it was about time they visited the club and enjoyed it!

However, when we arrived we were informed that the main floor was at capacity and for an extra $50.00 they’d offer a VIP booth with a few extras included and we could skip the line. We took the offer and headed inside, all was totally fine until we were approached for a dance. We headed upstairs to check the prices and they are WAY over what we expected and the whole way of selling/offering felt very pushed and forced.

First off, I was informed that $120.00 MINIMUM would be for four dances and I was NOT told that that meant four songs at a total of 15 mins.

On the other hand, my friend payed $475.00 for a VIP booth and one hour with a dancer and he expected high-quality service for that price, that doesn’t include any extras and or drinks at all.

We are now $500.00+ dollars into the night and STILL we were continuously asked every five or so minutes for more and not once did we feel like valued or respected customers.

This unfortunately is far off from my first visit for my 18th birthday, I was offered a free round of shots and a VIP dance for no extra charge and the whole experience was 100% perfect.

Now, I’m not a price-gouger or cheap person but for the amount of time/money we spent tonight the service and quality did not match at all.

We would love to come again with a group of friends but will hopefully be able to expect a change of service and better time In the future.

This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a gentleman's club. The customer service was impeccable by ALL the staff. The dancer's were absolutely stunning and the shows were like nothing I've seen before. Very entertaining and classy! Not only that but the place was extremely clean and everyone was following the Covid-19 health and safety protocols. I felt very safe there. We had such a great time and I would highly recommend this club to anyone looking for a classy, clean and entertaining place! Thanks for all the fun Shade!

I have been going to Shade for a couple months now and haven’t yet been disappointed. Always a great crowd and great dancers with jaw dropping performances. Any time the slightest inconvenience happens, the staff there, especially the manager Jay, is so quick to do anything they can to fix it and make your experience 10x better. I went there for my birthday last night and I was gifted a bottle of champagne and also a lap dance, free of charge. This club will always be my favourite place to go for a night out, I would recommend this place to anyone. Even if strip clubs are not your type of scene, after the first time I came here my opinion changed completely, you will enjoy!

Love this place! Forever will be my go to place in edmonton. My girls and i have went for our birthdays and for our nights out. We live up north and we make trips just to go to the club ️. Great staff! The dancers are sweethearts and always make you feel comfortable, service is phenomenal every time! Took my lady on the weekend to Shade. Didn’t know what to expect as the covid restrictions would make for some changes. I have to say it was very professionally setup and the staff were amazing. All staff wore protective masks, and they utilized they’re whole space so that we could properly distance ourselves from other patrons. Even as a bonus hand sanitizer on every table. The service was also really well done as soon as my drink was close to being finished I was asked if I needed another. My lady was treated to a free dance as well ha ha. Also management (Jay and James) came by and I was able to have a nice chat with them and they made us feel like family. We both had a great time and would look to come back soon.

Shade is my Favorite Night Club in the City!
My wife and I discovered Shade last year when on a whim, we popped in. From her ID, they learned it was her Birthday and immediately proceeded to make her feel like a queen. Jay the GM greeted us in the club and took care of us all night making sure she was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Jay is an excellent host and he really makes you feel like a VIP. The girls are stunning and all the staff are super friendly and accommodating. We have been regulars ever since.
My wife arranged for us to go there for my Birthday this past week and it was a total blast. Jay once again took care of us and even got me a cake with a personalized Happy Birthday message. He certainly went above and beyond to make it a great party for me and all of our guests.
