A very well organized and managed store, the staff do a wonderful job keeping the store stocked up. Amazing Naan, a variety of dry fruits great quality of imported products. Amazing customer service!
I bought pressed yogurt, when I got home I sow it was open half empty, I have the pictures, if you wanted I will post it, because I am the regular costumer for almost 8 years, I never spectated like this, another reason for this pressed yogurt it has no expiry dates, when it expired.
Sometimes they sell expired products…. Couple times, i came here and bought items that were expired. Too far of a drive for me to return. Otherwise, they have everything you need. Little overpriced
This Grocery store has a whole variety of products from Iran and it always give me the nostalgic feeling of shopping in Iran. You can find all popular products from Iran and also different kind of fresh Breads as they have a bakery nearby. I rated 4 as sometimes you can grab the expired items from the shelves, so always pay attention to the expiry dates. Also some products have expiry date in Persian calendar and it might be difficult to convert the date if you don’t have any idea about the Persian dates.
Small business, good people, you can find Persian and Afghani food and products here. We usually get Sabzie ghorme and other Persian cans from here. The bread (barbari) is great. I actually could say the best Persian/Afghani bread in the city. They always have nuts and lavashak.
The staff don't know how to treat customers. Although, the store has everything that I needed, without customer service I would not come back. A few times, I had interaction with a young teenager working there and he responded aggressively and has been very rude.
I went into Shaheen Grocery with a vague idea of what I wanted to buy for an Eid gift for my neighbor. The staff helped me find exactly the right things to buy, and really went above and beyond. I'm so grateful for their patience and help!
This store is good for groceries from Afghanistan, Iran, UAE also some Turkish stuff is also available. They have all kinds of freshly made Afgani bread. Staff is not that friendly though.
One of the only places in town that sells good bread. Afghans are well known for the great quality of their bread. They have a good selection of Iranian/Afghan ingredients and snacks as well.
I went here a couple weeks ago. It was 8: 50 am. It said on the door that the store opens at 9: 00 but the door was open. So I assumed maybe they opened early. I went inside, grabbed a basket and started shopping but the asked me to leave because “they weren't open yet”. So they kind of kicked me out of the store. I felt really humiliated and left a place, and will never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone. Also some of their products are expired so watch out if you shop here.
Nice place. Usually find most of the Iranian stuff that I’m looking for. Although it’s far from where I live but I make sure to go there at least once a week and get my fresh bread (Barbari).
I've searched the deserts of Syria, been through the mountain tops of Nepal. All for the Nestle Milk Pack Cream that I could not find. Bangla Baazar stopped selling them, and Produce Market too. All these muslim stores started selling a cheaper version of it and I almost had it shipped from Toronto. All for a taste of that milky Nestle Milk Pacs in the morning with my fried paarata. Than God heard my prayers and duas and my mother comes home with them yesterday. I went and prayed an extra 2 rakaat. God bless. Will be coming myself to purchase.
I'm impressed! Honestly, this place makes me a little homesick even though I'm not from Afghanistan. They have a traditional Afghani bakery and they make high-quality authentic bread (naan). The bakery is definitely the best thing about it but they also have some Indian/Iranian/Afghan imported products in store. What surprises me the most is how cheap everything is.
Owner and employees were really helpful with everything, absolutely great work there! Really happy with the purchases I have made here.will keep coming back since they know how to earn loyality
They have a great variety of spices but don't try to get help from the salesperson. You have to find everything yourself since they're not knowledgeable for where everything is
Nice and tidy but not friendly people at all, specially if you are not speaking there language they don't even say hi or hello and forget about customer service.
The best Afghani naan but less professionalism and smiling face. I hope one day they will learn it as well. Another point is that last week I went there for buying naan but it was closed without any notice.
Things are cheaper there and of good quality. But on printed receipt, they dont mention item names. For example in dry fruit there are different variates with different prices. If cashier by mistake or wilingly change code to higher price thing then u never know and they earn more money
You can find almost every kind of spice and Persian food cans in this store. Prices are sometimes higher than other stores. Try their freshly baked bread.
I like this place. They normally have everything you might need for a Persian cousin. The only thing that’s not so pleasant is the neighbourhood and the mess happening around them. The mechanic shop on the other side, next to a butcher and a baker really doesn’t make sense.
