The chicken not fresh and caused my stomach upset and almost throw up.
The vegetables no fresh too and dishes expensive
The traditional Small Shanghai Dumplings not just no taste also not fresh as well

Never come back again

I ate here over the V weekend nothing taste like it use to be. Nothing but cold soup and nasty chicken. Best to avoid

If you come here, you MUST try the steamed soup dumplings with minced pork. It's THE BEST in Edmonton.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Hair was found in my food and service was so bad. The ladies did not even apologize for their it. I'm not ever buying from here again.

Chinese food is hit or miss in edmonton. This place is decent anyway. Known for its soup dumplings which are pretty good for edmonton.

The ham and turnip pastries are little flaky balls of deliciousness. The other dishes were solid, what you would hope for. Would go again.

Great food, very responsibly priced and very nice people working there. The only reason for the 4 star regarding atmosphere was because it was uncomfortably cool which I wasn't expecting, but than that I would eat there again

Came for the soup dumpling and it was okay. However, the beef noodles was amazing and the portions were plentiful. The price is also cheaper compared to most restaurants.

Very good soup dumplings/ Xiao long bao and Dan Dan noodles. I also recommend trying the crispy Radish and Ham Pastry. The beef buns are juicy and soft. If you go in a big group, just try different types of foods. Most of them are tasty. I haven't found a 2nd place that sell delicious soup dumplings in Edmonton. So this is where I go if you ask for soup dumplings.

Got the soup dumpling they were good but not very much soup the crab ones were are favorite out of what we had would have liked more soup in them other then that was good

I want to talk about one thing at this restaurant, Xiao long bao, it is impressive here. So we’ll made. I could taste the time effort and love put into these dumplings. These are definitely the best in Edmonton. If you have never tried them, please do so. Everything else here will not disappoint you at all. It is just that I have had Xiao long bao at restaurants throughout Alberta and these ones are my favourite by far and high above any other I have had. My mouth waters for them at the very thought!

Shanghai 456 is nice a quaint. My group ordered a bunch of main dishes to share and they were all very good. It's nice that they are one of the few places in Edmonton that serve Xiao Long Bao. It would be interesting to see them offer more selection for soup dumplings.
