Joesan was polite but high pressure. She tried telling me that insurance endorsements were mandatory which are not mandatory (SEF's 18,20,27). I had to ask multiple times for a quote without endorsements AND with a lower liability coverage. Using "You can but I don't recommend it. " any time I asked for cheaper coverage was a scare tactic to make the customer pay more, and for her to get a higher commission. Who would they recommend the lower coverage for? Why is it available if it's not "recommended'? Was there any data to support the recommendation in my case? Absolutely not.
She also failed to clearly communicate the final price I would be paying for the premium. I saw a higher number on my policy than she said verbally over the phone because she didn't talk about an additional fee to go monthly.

I got condo insurance through sharp. Kyle Lihaven did a great job dealing with me and my busy month, when I was at work we communicated through email and called for reminders, which was great, I was busy moving on days off and completely forgot. Was contacted for a car I just purchased and the agent rushed extremely quickly through an explanation of the coverage an then gave me a ridiculously high rate and essentially said oh well that's how it is then said he would email a copy of the quote and did not then promptly hung up on me when I was going to ask another question. Completely unprofessional and un helpful, will certainly not do business with this company.

Amongst the least of helpful handful of insurance companies. They all claim to be trying to help people and customers are a priority. Makes me laugh 2400 a year quoted. But don't worry they're not the only rip off artists in the ins business. Long story short this and about 5 other companies are on the short list for a do not recommend as in the end my girlfriend and I ended up paying more than $1000 less than the cheapest quote from any of these helpful hands
May 10,2021 around 3: 30pm, I ask them to sent me a quote with different options before my next policy renewal, but they said they can't do that. They want me to call them 30 days before the maturity. What a bad customer service. I even explain that I might forgot that's why I'm asking. If you want to keep your client, company normally call their client before the renewal, not the client will call them, otherwise it might go to their competitors. To be fair to the agent that I spoke with, he is ok, but its the person talking in the background is the one controlling the conversation. It could be the manager. Very bad manager services. I expect more polite, nice manners and very good solution from the manager, but I was wrong.
They don't want to remind the client, because if client going to missed the renewal date, they automatically renew the policy and you don't have a say when its done. Otherwise, you pay penalty if you cancel. This is a pure SCAM.
I have had insurance with this company for almost two years. I recently got into a small accident, slid into a cement pillar. No other parties involved. When I spoke to the claims department they said I was eligible for first time accident forgiveness as I have been driving for 25 years and never had a single claim. I was very happy to hear this but when I spoke to Sharpe insurance I was told that yes I was eligible but unfortunately no one offered it to me when I signed up with them. I am extremely disappointed and feel that this is not the level of customer service expected from a company such as Sharpe. This should be offered to every single person that is eligible for it, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that it wouldn’t be. A lot of people are unaware of this benefit and do not know to ask for it. I certainly will be changing companies at the end of this term and will advise others not to go with Sharpe. Very unfortunate and poor customer service.
Very helpful with all my questions. Easily explained everything I asked in very simple to understand terms. Although they were very busy at the time of day I called. The representative was very patient and not at all in any rush to move onto the next caller. This made me feel that I was very important to her, and as a client, I mattered and was not just another number in the system.

I was looking in to insurance for probably 3 months with companies all over Edmonton, I ended Up finding sharp and with in a matter of 1 days I have my premium, monthly payments and my pink slip in hand, so many places don’t do monthly payment if you have anything on your claims history, so getting monthly payments was great, I was dealing with Joesan Faulter and she was amazing, highly recommended this company for any and all insurance needs.
The representative that I dealt with Mr. Eric Kruger was very professional and understanding and helped me with my problems and got them fixed for me and I really appreciated his help

I requested a call to discuss insurance quotes. They sent me 3 or 4 emails asking if I was still interested in their service without having talked about prices. When someone finally contacted me, I sent them the requested information and never heard from them again.
Very helpful with the insurance aspect and helping get the lowest rate I could, Athar made it very clear for me and made it work when other companies couldn’t, definitely recommend

If there was a 0 I would I'm quite upset with this company I'm told 1 thing then it turns into another they were also not helping in listening as they were also putting on Tennant insurince on even after I had only requested pl&pd for my truck then while I was quite up set the person who I was dealing with thought that it was a joke I wanted to speak with the boss I find this very unprofessional and rude I would go to another company but I have no other option then these guys hopefully they can turn this around
3hrs later and there is no change I would reccommend that you avoid this place as both connor and Alexi of the calgary office are both liers and very unprofessional in there handling of there clients or potential clients
Called for an insurance quote after waiting 20 minutes they couldn't even provide a quote. They said they will do it by email. What about people who is not that great with computers.
Called to switch the day my payment came out and was informed I couldn’t, and told that I should just take the loss in overdraft. Upon telling her that wasn’t going to work, she outlined the penalties of a late payment, which was made as soon as funds were available. Following that, I received many emails reiterating the same issue, and an automated phone call informing me my insurance was about to be cancelled. When I called to find out why, they apparently had no idea why I would receive a phone call like that, and assured me everything was fine. Ok, mistakes happen. A week later, I move and call to cancel my previous tenant insurance. Joniada was rude the whole time, and sends me a file to sign confirming the cancellation. When I receive my new pink cards in the mail I find out I’m still paying for something I cancelled, and intact has no clue this ever happened. So over the lack of communication and unprofessionalism lately.
Update- A manager had called and everything had seemed alright, chose to stay another year. When my insurance came up for renewal on December 6, I had called on Nov 21 to make changes to my policy. Spoke to Hammad who ensured me everything would be changed over by the 6th, and that I was good to go. He had told me to send a follow up email on the 5th to ensure everything was good to go, which I did. Never heard anything back, and assumed that everything was going as discussed. Fast forward to the 16th, the day the payment comes out of my account. They took the old amount, the amount that would've been paid had I not made these policy changes. Called the next day and spoke to Simran, who told me it takes 15 business days to change a policy and the guy who neglected to explain any of this was in training. Upon asking for a refund she told me that I would not be refunded thew whole amount, and was instead to pay the year of 2020 upfront and would receive a credit of the remaining amount. Previously, I was on a month to month schedule, and upon telling them this they ignored it. I had not signed anything to switch this over, but apparently when you mess up that big, you do whatever you can to recuperate the loss on your end. After responding to her email saying I wanted a full refund, I heard nothing. Called again and spoke to a Dwayne, who told me to send an email with my bank statement showing the payment went through and told me if the payment went through, I would receive a credit by Dec 24th. If it bounced I could go back to my regular payment schedule. The payment had very clearly gone through, but I still had to wait. Dec 23rd, emailed again to ensure the money would be in my account by the next day, Neil had confirmed it would be. Dec 24th, no money, emailed again and was told it should be there at midnight. Dec 26th, still no money, and now am looking at taking from the money set aside for school to cover Jan rent, as I had other bills and Christmas to cover. If you're looking for surprise expenses, a cold, apathetic customer service experience, and a company that will treat you like an absolute joke, I would recommend sharp insurance. Otherwise, you're better to just keep looking.
So hard to get in touch with these people. App never works. They are the same as any other insurance company that will give you the same prices so do yourself a favour and find someone else who is easier to contact. It will save you the headaches.
I spoke with an awesome gentleman by the name of Alexi Aravena. This amazing person listened to my story and went out of his way and in record timing, got me the lowest rate. Everything was done over the phone and email. He took the time to make sure that I was comfortable with every step. I can not say how great this experience was. Above and beyond. Mr. Alexi your the man and I will be recommending you to everyone.
Contacted them twice. Even email them regarding auto insurance. Never received any quote. Got one email saying how we may assist you. Even reply back by saying I'm looking for Auto insurance quote. I got no response.
Honestly my experience with sharp in general is not the greatest, I find wait times are often long and I sometimes have to have the same conversation over and over again, however my experience today with simran bath was excellent. She did everything I needed right on the spot and did it really quickly, and was really nice while doing it.
