Shaw Millennium Park

2023 Aug 21 @ carifest. While I'm standing at the rear of the ground minding with my bicycle, a lady from staff team approached to me ordering me to leave their camera sight because " we don't want you to be there (their photo) ". Her attitude is ignorant and pushy. She makes me feel extremely unsafe and unfriendly. I'm the one of the a few people not from African/ Caribbean origin. Her action spreads separation between humans and it should not be conducted during a multicultural activity like carifest.

Nice place to skateboard, to have a great time on the grass as well. It has 3 beach volleyball courts that are amazing. You also can take your bike and park near. C-train line blue take to there.

Every year on the August long weekend, they have blues fest. This is my fourth year attending, and shama millennium Park makes an awesome spot for this event! There is lots of room to spread out and enjoy the afternoon, with a beautiful view of the cityscape.

Huge park. Lots of great lines. Tons of structures, bowls, rails, stairs, etc. Was not very busy when we were there. Could use a little bit of a clean up. Over all, really great.

Nice skateboard park. Went to see my great nephew skate. He had fun. He's been on vacation and stopping at skateparks along the way.

Calgary international blues fest uses this space every year. It's an amazing place for an outdoor concert and festival.

Went to see Our Lady Peace and the black Crows at an outdoor event. Just a bit unorganized but what a concert.

A good space to learn how to ride bikes I found the park a pleasant space to learn bike riding.

This is a wonderful park and I was lucky finding it and visiting it today. It's a large, large and beautiful area full of flowers but only few seats.

Maybe I will be happier if there is an additional number of seats, but it's not an issue as you will discover that it's better to walk there and enjoy other activities rather than only sitting.

There are two areas to do activities. First one is a basketball playground where you can play with your friends, but you should bring your own basket ball for sure.

Second one is a skateboard playground. Actually, it's a large area, so if you like skating, then it's the destination that you should consider visiting soon.

I would suggest you to bring bottles of water with you as you will enjoy staying here for a long time and do many activities.

Finally, I took a lot of pictures to show everyone how this park looks like. I recommend everyone to visit this park whenever you want to enjoy walking, skating and playing basketball.

Skate park is quite big but very rough. Could use a lot of patching for the cracks and some parts feel very cramped. But definitely worth going to once.

Nice skate park. It's clean, you feel safe and everyone is aware of everyone else when skating. I have not seen an accident so far, just close calls but kids normally keep their distance. The place is bigger than it seems from outside.

This is easily the best skatepark I have ever been to.everytime I have gone here, I have made such great memories.love it

This is the biggest skate park i have ever seen! It has great areas for any level of skaters, nice bowls, great rails, hubbas, and they have an advanced section will really high vert thats looks like so much fun!

Kids are absolutely having a blast! Perfect for youth level riders Parking is difficult to figure out

Trying to show my nephew, how nice it would be for him to come to Calgary. He's a skater with big dreams.

Nice park. Lots of kids and skaters of course, but hey so was I when I was there opening day 20 years ago with Tony Hawk visiting. Man I feel old.

Great place for skateboarding and bmx. Spent a lot of nights down at this skatepark. Usually very busy during the day. I always bring friends down here with me have seen lots of people have problems and get in fights with other people for everything between trying to steal your stuff to being in the wrong spot at the wrong time. I try to bring friends for that reason and I try not to bring anything I don't need or can't carry with me while I ride.

Our first time here was this past summer for the Circle Carnival.
The park was spacious and well manicured.
There was plenty of room for the event.

It's an okay place. Great skatepark, nearby museum, courts, geocaches. Some unsavory locals. Have had strangers approach my kids for drugs. Had one middle-age guy follow my kids around for a good 30 minutes. Very awkward.

Have gone to Circle Carnival here the last 2 years and have had an amazing time both years. Would highly recommend this music festival. This year it ran for 2 days and the first day was 18+ only and the second day was family so you can experience both atmospheres

Descent court, nice and smooth skate park water fountain nearby I enjoyed myself. Rims are a little bit old but it's fine enjoy yourselves

Attended 2019 Circle Carnival and the two day event was so much fun greatly because of the awesome venue! Looking forward to going there more for other small and big events.

Theres some pro skaters that use this park. Never crowded. Can have a bike or board. Follow itzzdmoney on Instagram. He's got a buddy that records him. Theres also a bluesfest in late July early August beside it

Was fun as a child. Definitely needs another investment from the city to bring it back to modern standard of a skate park.

Got to see tony hawks underground tour skate here for the grand opening of the park shortly after they opened it up for riders what a way to start off a park! Chris Cole, Bam! Margera, Mike V, Bucky Lasek just to name a few of the pro wheels to roll this concrete.circa team and many other tours have stopped here over the years.

Great venue for a concert. It was big, lots of tents and the food was not too bad either. In future better signage for food access and it would be nice to have better food choices for non VIP goers. But otherwise great day.

Enjoyed myself with friends pretty old nets, court was fine u definitely wanna Wear outdoor shoes. There is a water fountain and a swarm of mosquitoes so repellent is ur friend

Really good park. Pretty close to West Kerby Ctrain Station and very quiet and peaceful place. A must go if you need some peace, or even if you want to organise a little get together or picnic may be!

We were there for rath yara organized by Iskon Calgary. Well organized with well managed parking.

Wide stage, watched Bryan Adams on here and it was awesome! Weather was great for an open field concert.

Was workin the Smoke Show Food Truck with the owner Dustin, at the Bules Festival! Had a blast thanks to everyone that could come and enjoy the amzing food! And all of the Great bands that played thier hearts out for all of our souls!

It was busy while we there. And they were setting up for a music festival while we were walking around

Pretty cool place for concerts but no cover from the elements, nor ground cover for muddy grass.

Didn't go to the skateboard part. The rest of the park is basically a grassed bowl used for outdoor concerts. Good sound quality as long as you're not too close. C-train station is only 5 minutes away. Nearest decent pub is less than 10 mins walk.
