We ordered the make-your-own-shawarma for 20 peeps and we have got fresh salad, warm & hot potato & rice, wraps, different kinds of sauces, hummus, plenty amount of meats, and baklavas, etc. Everyone really enjoyed the food and had one of the happiest times! I really appreciate everything!

Probably one of the very best joints in town. Guys always offer great service, and the food is generous and well balanced.

I got a chicken shawarma plate delivered. It was amazing! The portion of chicken rice and potatoes were perfect. A little more salad would have been great and there was A LOT of sauce on the potatoes. Everything was delicious! So much flavour and fresh! Highly recommend this shawarma place!

These guys crush it! One of the few, if not only, places that nails the fillings to bread ratio in their wraps. Using only one half of the pita is a veteran move and wrapping it all in the lavash keeps it tight. They always slice the meat fresh off the spit when you order and the service is super friendly. Love this place. I’ve done both the platter and the wraps - both go hard. Keep up the awesome work!

Amazing chicken shwarma! Highly recommend all the toppings, garlic sauce and a side of the Sunshine sauce! Friendly service and convenient location

I had a mixed shawarma and samosa. Both very good.
Shawarma is a good portion size, not too much bread, good vegetable and sauce selection. They have a few flavours of hot sauce which is great as shawarma places usually only have one hot sauce.

I've been to Shawarma Ave mutiple times now. In my opinion they have the best tasting beef donair in Calgary. Portion size is great, lots of meat, great value overall. Low key place, pleasant staff, pick up and go, also a few tables to eat in. I highly recommend.

Ordered pita chips from there from skip and they were sooo burnt. I do not understand how they thought it was acceptable to pack up and serve to a customer

I have thought about this review for a couple of months but it still bothers me. I LOVED this place pre-pandemic. The food and service was so wonderful. I returned before Christmas and ordered a salad, drinks, a side and a wrap for my children to share. My bill was $29 and I tipped $6.50ish (I didn't intent to tip that much but accidently hit a wrong button and figured since they were always so nice what the heck). The guy charged me then I moved down to the salad bar. The woman asked me if I wanted this and that, and I said "sure, I'll have some of everything" (meaning everything it comes with). She glared at me. Then she glared intensely at the young man who charged me at the till. He walked over and she said something I couldnt understand to him in an annoyed tone and he promptly ran away like he was embarrassed. He returned a moment later and informed me that my salad doesn't come with "everything" but they'll give me the additional couple of pickled items this time anyway. I clarified that I was happy to receive whatever it came with. I really just meant that she didn't have to inquire whether every item is OK with me.
It ruined the entire meal and experience for me. This interaction made me feel like they thought I was some cheap jerk trying to get more than I paid for. And to tip someone that much who does the same style work as Subway who dont even get tips.for her to get that blatently rude over a few cents of pickles like that.sadly I won't be going back again.

LOVE the slightly acidic garlic sauce on the potatoes and how soft/tender the meat was. Will definitely be my go to instead of Jerusalem now!

This is the best wrap in Calgary! Better than Jimmy's, better than Jerusalem. Better than Caesars. The best. And the sunshine sauce is amazing

Food is flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. Prices are reasonable but portions are a tad bit smaller than other shawarma joints. I am still a fan and would recommend.

Absolutely excellent! Best Shawarma I've had in awhile. Chicken was well-seasoned, garlic sauce was perfect. Large wrap was perfectly grilled, crispy and chewy at the same time. Highly recommend.

I had beef shwarma with the really hot sauce, called suicide sauce. It is really good! The sauce doesn't overwhelm other flavors so you can taste other stuff too!

One of my favourite Shawarma places in the city. Meat isn’t dry like some places and the portions are generous. Also amazing and friendly staff work there so you know you will always get great and quick service!

I know very well most of the shawarma places in Calgary. This one has a masterpiece! I know this is a BIG statement, but it’s probably the best! I eat shawarma's EVERYWHERE and this is at the very top of my list now. That green Chile spice sauce is GOLD and the extra time and the crispy wrap is just awesome! Thank you!

Food is soooo good! Totally understand why there always is a line up. Good serving size too, was enough for two meals for me.

I order 4 mix shawarma plater with extra kofta because we did not eat all day so we want extra food.the order came with almost no shawarma plus the extra kofta was very dry and burned. I paid 21 dollars for rice and almost no shawarma plus disgusting kofta. Message to the owner when people order extra and pay extra you should send the right amount of food not what ever fit in your plater very bad experiences

Ordered food from UBER Eats with them, got a shawarma platter and a Fattoush salad, asked for extra salad dressing, didn’t get any dressing at all which is disappointing when you order a full complete salad. There was also a hair in the salad.

Barbican was room temperature.

I wouldn’t order from them again, there are many better places in Calgary for Fattoush and shawarma! It’s not cheap either, I love helping local restaurants…but this wasn’t worth it at all.

My favourite place to get donairs in the city! We come here at least once a month. Both the chicken and the beef are delicious

Oh baby.this here's as good as it gets when it comes to shawarma in Calgary. Always hot, always fresh, always fast. Flavours are on point EVERY TIME. Long live Shawarma Ave. Hoping for many, many years of continued success. I wish they had stuffed grape leaves though! That's their only strike.

All the service crew were great and knows what they’re doing. Fast and accurate service. Clean dining area with a few chairs and tables. I ordered a large Beef Donair wrap with their famous Sweet and Sunshine (Hot) sauce. The wrap was big, good enough for two! The sauce was very delicious and that makes it different from other shawarma places. Only issues we had is the parking area, there’s none so we just ordered take-out. Coming back next time!

The food taste good at the time of eating it but the aftermath of it was like a brown runny hurricane of pain.

Good location, great prices and the food is tasty too. If you want lamb, you have to go before 5pm cause they always sell out because it's THE BEST! Beef and chicken are okay too, but definitely not as good as the lamb! Service is friendly and quick as well.

We came here for the first time tonight and was super impressed! The chicken tawook platter is stellar, I wish there was more hummus because it was so good. The chicken was cooked to perfection and so tasty! Would come back again and again.

The Shawarma isn't bad here, the chicken Shawarma is quite tender and the hot sauce is a great condiment. However, they are not great at following online order instructions and the portions/price just don't compare to many of the other Shawarma places in the city.

If you feel like you never have enough spice in your hot sauce, come here. I ordered the mix platter with the second hottest sauce, and was sweating like a pig. However, having the most spicy sauce doesn't cut it when you have so many strong shawarma competitors. It's fine, and I'm sure that the location makes it convenient for many people. The food doesn't quite have the bold flavours of your typical shawarma meal. The veggies seemed.not the freshest. The staff are wonderful, though! I wouldn't come here again, but this was by far not the worst.

The food was so delicious! Cannot complain whatsoever. Got the shawarma plate and everything about was so flavourful! There hummus is so good as well.

Wonderful wraps here! Particularly like the kafta and shish taouk wraps. They have wonderful sauces and wonderful veggies too!

Honestly this shawarma place is delicious! I LOVE IT, I would share a picture but I was craving it so hard that I couldn't wait to eat it haha. Place is clean, staff is super nice, portions/price are great ($11 for a large mixed wrap), ingredients are fresh, meat is super tender and juicy and sauces are good. Don't think about it and try it:)

I love shawarma but this one is definitely my favourite! I ordered the kafta platter and the meat was juicy and well seasoned. They make quality meals and I you get more out of the meal than what you pay for.
