Gross! Falafel tasted bitter, literally microwaved and gave it to me, would never try again

Went here bunch of times but today was quite the disappointment. Ordered the chicken and beef platter but to my surprise, didn't get as much meat as usual and the individual ignored us and didn't give garlic sauce as they were on the phone dealing with something else at the time.

Generous portion size. Great flavour and taste. Friendly staff. It’s my go to place when driving back to Edmonton.

Feeling super lazy, we had ordered 5 platters through skip the dishes but only 2 were delivered. I called the restaurant and they said the 3 were there and didn’t get picked up. Skip the dishes wouldn’t deliver the missing items, only a refund. Shwarma palace offered to deliver the items right away. Since I know it’s a busy night for them I said I would pick it up. They apologized even though I don’t think it’s their fault and they wouldn’t accept payment for the items. They even through in extra items. Great service and great food. Highly recommend!

We come almost every Friday night for a post soccer meal. Fantastic food and the people are amazing. They even know what we usually order.

Always great service to the point that they know my order. Maybe I'm there a little too often. Portions are great, food is delicious and price is amazing.

One of the best Shawarma place in Airdrie, this is my go to place, they have best chicken and beef shawarma, very friendly staff and clean restaurant.

We went for take out tonight for sharwama, though food taste is okay I would say the staff were very rude in customer service.

They don't greet their customers when they enter and as first time customers when we asked regarding the ingredients for shawarma they don't even tried to explain.

The staff behavior was simply rude, won't pay visit again due to poor staff attitude towards customers.

These guys crush it everyday. The boys on the line are always friendly, efficient and get you in and out with a smile.

Very poor service! We have ordered platters with extra meat but they didn’t put but they changed for extra meats and messed up the choice of sources. It's not the first time!

I am a hungry on the road sales person… I go all across Canada but mostly Western Canada and today I am here to write a review.

Myself, I have got shawarma plates all over the place and am often dissatisfied with the outcome of my order. Interestingly, Shawarma Palace has ALWAYS served me a quality result and a satisfying meal EVERYTIME I have been there!

I have be let down by more order in many cities but Shawarma Palace has done well, especially for the price. Next to them Jerusalem Shawarma has all been fair consistent.

The food was subpar. Not a fan of the texture for the garlic sauce. Everything was off about this place, sadly. Portion size was alright tho. I wouldn't go again.

I would rate it as the worst shawarma outlet of my life. The chicken was dry, rice had no aroma/flavour. Potatoes were plain and bland.
I would never recommed any nobody for this outlet

Absolutely love this place! We use to live closer to the forest lawn one and moved by this location. The quality is the same and the service is amazing! Everyone there is so friendly and the portions are great too! We love coming here!

Horrible experience. Employees did not.listen to our order. We ordered 2 beef donairs and recieved a chicken on instead. No offer to replace it or reimbursement. Would not recommend this place for anyone

Use to be a good restaurant now. The price is higher quantity is less when u try to ask them the guy took it offensively and started talking back. I always order from there the guy is like I worked for 2 years. I know how much it's suppose to be.

My experience has been terrible on multiple occasions. This place is under new management, which is rude. The server didn’t have gloves on and was handling food. Also, I had to wait awhile to get service. Airdrie customers are used to decent service. Rude behaviour isn’t acceptable. Disappointed, I won’t return. Enjoy the loss of my business.

This location deserves 5/5 stars. The food is always incredible and they heap on the meat. They never skimp and it’s always good.

Great food, great customer service! They were able to accommodate a very large, last-minute order for me and even assisted in taking the food out to my car. The staff is very kind and the order turned out perfect. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning soon!

The food here is excellent. The amount of portion you get for the price you pay for the platter is well worth it. Lots of value here. Always stop by here whenever I'm in airdrie for work.

I am very disappointed as I asked the person who served me if the baklava was fresh and he said yes…it was tasting the food in the restaurant (like a bit of shawarma taste with it why not!). The nuts in the baklava were tasting like old nuts…. Very disappointed and I will not go back there! Much better option just across the street.

Great food. But it's wrong to have customers standing there and just keep filling skip the dishes orders while we wait.

Tbh i just came out from shawrma place and i had very bad experience, stuff really need to learn how to treat customer, very bad attitude as if i am getting free food.

This use to be the best donair in Airdrie. Unfortunately, it has cut out the customer service and food quality. I got a medium donair and they couldn’t even fill the pita. I asked for extra garlic sauce and was told “if I add more I can’t wrap the pita”. At the Calgary NE location I don’t even have to ASK for more garlic sauce… and if I did, they would put an extra huge dollop on it. As you can see from the photos the meat quantity is not worth the price anymore. We use to eat here at least twice a week and now we will never eat here again. The service was below average, I could get better service from McDonald’s. If the owners of the NE location saw how the Airdrie location was representing the name, they would be shameful. Just look at the photos.

I love the donairs here. Large Beef, 2 cheese, lettuce onion and tomato, with a few sauces. So good. Every time I have been here over the past 5 years the donairs have been consistently excellent. One of the best!

First time here and absolutely loved it! Quality of the produce and chicken was phenomenal and they even add their own touch with a sweet sauce! Staff super friendly and kind also so BONUS! Had the chicken shwarma … two thumbs!

Great service and great food. The service is always quick and efficient while still being friendly. They are my only stop for donairs since I moved to Airdrie. Try them out you won't be disappointed.

I had ordered last night a chicken shawarma wrap and ginger ale. I got the wrap but ginger ale was missing. So disappointing. I had my wrap without it. I paid for what I didn’t get actually. I called to drive to confirm it he said restaurant staff didn’t give to him. They gave him only this wrap. Omg!
What i call them careless staff? Who don’t care about the orders and it’s items. May be nobody gonna take this risk again to place order there. I wish good luck to restaurant and its staff specially who can take care of the items n order in near future.

Best Shawarma in Airdrie. Very high quality food, fresh, and made to order. I have been to other Shawarma Palaces in Calgary and this location is by far the best. Staff is friendly and the portions are huge!

Lady on counter was really rude. They posted online they have samosas. But she said no we do not have but in rude tone. Did'nt like that.

I visited this location last night, and picked up a donair. When I went to pick up the donair at home, the whole back side of the pita blew out making it impossible to eat this as a wrap. On top of that, you could tell the meat that was shaved off the spit was dry on the outside as it had been rotating for quite a while, the fried side was over cooked as it was left on the grill as they tended to other orders.

I decided to take it back and show them the mess that I had. In fairness to the establishment, they offered to make me a new one without me even asking for one. I have received dry and overcooked meat from this place in the past, but not to the extent of one from last night, so I refused a new one, threw the old one in the garbage and left.

On a positive note, when you do get a good one, they do taste delicious.

Can't get enough of this place. Their Shawarma is on point and they are very generous with the amount of meat you get in your meals. Great value! Special shout out to the team of 3 that was working Father's Day yesterday, they were incredibly speedy, professional, friendly, and focused! They rocked it, thanks for the great experience!

I mean, it's not just about the freshest ingredients, it's all about the tireless effort and the top tier customer service the pros at Shwarama Palace put into every order. I've watched them, whether it's in person or online, these guys make sure you are going to enjoy your meal. And the quality and quantity of meats, the fluffiness and freshness of their amazing rice, that garlic sauce, those potatoes, and the baklava at the end? Best Shwarama in Alberta - hands down.

Food is great. Low rating is due to the awful service. Took 20 minutes to get a Shawarma platter, even with only one person in the line ahead of me. If you are there in person be prepared to wait for them to deal with their door dash /skip orders while ignoring the in store customers.

I ordered a Donair today using Doordash, finally a Donair that I am able to buy in Airdrie that does not disappoint. I am from NS where there is no shortage of good Donairs, in Airdrie not so much, however, Shawarma Palace will be my go to place to order Donairs.
I wished that I had taken a photo but by the time that I thought of taking one, the Donair was in my tummy.

Heard about this place for about a year. Finally tried it and wow. So friendly and such a great value. This is the kind of food that makes your soul sing. So amazing and I have never had a bad visit. Definitely try it you won't be disapointed.

Had the falafel wrap and the mixed chicken and donair wrap because I couldn't decide. I am so glad I tried both and it was delicious. The staff is friendly and food is made fresh right in front of you. Pricing is good for the amount of food received.

Best Shawarma in town, very friendly staff. You just have to mention if you have alergies and they will clean everything up before cooking your meal.

First visit and what a great beef shawarma I had, loaded with all the toppings and service was superb, ordered in store to support them directly.

Very good food been a loyal customer for years. However yesterday I witnessed shocking behavior. A customer ahead of me had ordered food and the workers misheard what his order was. Upon paying the customer explained to the workers that the order was incorrect and he actually asked for another item on the menu. The worker began to yell at the customer claiming it was his fault and he would not fix the mistake. The customer was then forced to keep the wrong order or allow the food to be wasted. I was so shocked upon seeing this that it even ruined my mood afterwards. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE. Now I am questioning if I should go back because that could have been me in his place instead. PLEASE FIX YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS A CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT BE TREATED IN SUCH A MANNER WHEN THEY HAVE OPENLY COME TO SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and was very happy i did. A family owned that believes in being friendly and giving you a meal for the money. Truly great flavours and quite good portions. Highly recommend stopping by here and grabbing some great quality food.

These guys are amazing, garlic sauce is delicious, hummus tasty, it’s all great! Service is on point, so happy to have them close to home!

I have been coming to shawarma palace for years because the food is second to none. Amazing. However, from now on my friends, family and I will NOT be spending our money here ever again.

On January 19,2021 at approx. 6pm I went to buy dinner and asked for a large trio wrap extra meat. I paid for the meal and realized that the order the workers made was incorrect. They prepared a large beef wrap extra meat. I told the workers that this is not what I ordered. One of the employees (brown male, approx. 5'11, medium build, Filipino accent, black snapback hat) refused to correct the order as I had already paid. I told him once again this is not what I asked for. The worker told me that this is what I asked for and I confirmed when I paid. To my surprise the worker began yelling at me infront of my friend and other customers refusing to correct my order. I yelled back that the large trio wrap and large beef wrap are almost the same price ($0.50 difference). I asked for the store manager and he said he is the manager. I had no choice, but to take the order and left. I have never been treated in such a rude manner before. Over $0.50 difference and a mistake on the worker's end I was yelled at and disrespected. I have been coming to shawarma palace for years. I have recommended it to all my friends and family. After today, I will NEVER eat from here and will NEVER recommend my friends and family to spend their money at a restaurant that treats the customer in such an ill manner. If anyone can provide me with the contact of the owner I would like to file a complaint against the worker I described earlier.

We had to repeat our order several times over, be that for masks muffling or kitchen ambient noise, or actual confusion I don’t know, but it was the sole minor inconvenience. Food was great and quick, friendly staff, lots of beverage choices. I loved the authentic cuisine, we’ll be back!

First time trying this place, decided to stop during our drive back to Edmonton & we are so glad we stopped by. Amazing food and service, the staff were super friendly.

The entire restaurant was super clean with staff also following covid guidelines. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who lives close by or they are just driving by.

Not sure how the ratings so high. Dry rice, none of the traditional shawarma spices on the chicken and also dry, terrible hummus. Not authentic in any way whatsoever.

Love this place eat there twice a week but one employee always gives half as much beef as the others. I pay three same amount and would expect the same amount. I will not be going back unless this is addressed. He also said I was weird for mentioning it. Poor service July 29th 1pm. Hopefully the manager sees this and addresses the problem.

Horrible service as I am very disappointed today as i order platter with extra chicken and the worker there did not even put the regular quantity of chicken. When I mention this issue they not only respond very rudely but also with more disrespect they just put a micro size chicken in it.
Almost 18$ they charged nothing can be worst than that.

Great tasting Food. Clean place, speedy service, and very pleasant staff. Good variety of wrap fillers, for example they had parsley and pickled turnips which I love in a wrap but not all shawarma places have them. Can’t wait to be back in Airdrie to have their food again

Been here 2 times first time was great no problems with portion, flavour and price i ordered in person.
Second time i ordered through food delivery app, at a time not too late around 630pm so thought fresh ingredients, maybe they dont want to get orders from app or they ran out of meat, cause my beef lamb wrap was missing the lamb, did not taste any at all even if you douse it in sauce is a strong meat flavor was not there, the meat that was there was chewy got fatty pieces mixed in as well, should of gone with the donair i guess cant see how they would screw that up.
I wont be coming back here will try the other shwarma place instead.if you order here perhaps best to go in person to actually see them make it?

Seriously the best shawarma in town with amazing staff. Huge portions too! Every time we go we get free add ons and they remember us and are so kind and friendly. This is always our go to meal if we're too busy to cook. There is plenty to eat here and it's all good. Care is taken with the ingredients to bring out the best flavours. Falafels are my favourite and Shawarma Palace hits all the right notes. They also do a great job with platters and donairs.

Nice shawarmas! The mix between garlic salse and vegetables make them so fresh. Very nice place for fast food and healthy option. The sizes are quiet large, it's possible to share; and be aware of spicy salse, it goes awesome with your shawarma, but could be pretty hot for many people. Just try a little before. Definitely recommended to try something different with similar than our used flavors.

2 weekends ago on date night we noticed a sign in the 17 Ave se Calgary location that said now in Airdrie Again Shawarma did not disappoint Amazing food Amazing service 10/10 Food was hot and delicious Dessert baklava buy 4 get 1 free Absolutely recommend!

I love the donair at this place. It is great tasting and great value along with very speedy service. You may need to wait a bit longer during busy times like on Friday or Saturday night, but the wait is well worth it. Their samosas and falafel are also really great and well-priced.
