Shawnessy Barn

We had our wedding here in September. What a beautiful location. Set in a public park with a nice path way. Strongly recommend.

Very cool community centre made from a repurposed, original barn. Market held here on the last Sunday of every month.

The most cutest little community centre I've seen. The location is pretty which helps with the barn. Would totally go here if I need a venue of some sort

Wonderful and unique wedding venue with a century old barn that is a rustic beauty. I had the opportunity to shoot a wedding at Shawnessy Barn and would be happy to return to this amazing venue with character and charm!

Cute barn that I visited for a market. It had a nice setup and bathrooms. Would go again and visit another market when the weather is warmer.

The barn really needs to step up and make this right

We had our wedding reception at the Shawnessy Barn on September 3rd. It was such a perfect spot for us. Jennifer was so easy to communicate with and made our set up a breeze. One of the best bangs for your buck in regards to venues within Calgary. Have the bar, bartender, all the corkage apart of it made things super simple, and I was able to supply my own booze.

It was a perfect night and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

My new wife Laura and I were married this summer at the Barn. It was a perfect place for us since I grew up on a farm in SK. We found the space a perfect size for our groups of 80. It was handicap accessible for my Gran and her wheelchair. Jennifer the manager was great to deal with and alway there to answer my wife’s many many questions. The only down fall were the tennis players that were a little loud during our ceremony and kept trying to use the bathrooms. But the bartender cracked down on them. All in all we couldn’t be happier.

We had our wedding at this rustic barn in August 2022. What a beautiful place, well kept and had a great ambiance. The manager Jennifer was great to work with and made our day so much less stressful. We enjoyed the outside area and enjoyed partying on the patio into the evening. The var staff was very fun and guided us at the end of the night. Definitely would recommend the Barn for your event.

When I found this location I thought it was so great. Such a bang for your buck. After getting married here you will see just why it’s so “affordable”. Do not recommend unless you like to lose money.
