Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire

The staff was amazing! One of the best customer service I've seen in a hotel. Sheraton would be my go to hotel in Calgary for sure!

Have stayed here multiple times on business. Staff are second to none. Rooms are always clean. They take care of every little detail. Comfortable beds, good showers, can’t be beat. Location is centralized downtown. Is connected to level 15 walkways that join all the downtown buildings.

My Wife and I checked out of the Sheraton Eau Claire on Saturday after three glorious weeks. It would be hard to pick which aspect of this property we liked best. From a professional check in with Celia and Jarrett to a sad check out with Yang Lu et al it was all great. First off, the location in downtown, next to the river and the park, walking distance to Chinatown and many restaurants makes it luxuriously easy. We didn't even rent a car and instead walked 80% of the time and took Ubers the rest. The rooms were spacious and well appointed with plenty of linens and amenities. Housekeeping was totally attentive and helpful.thank you Anastasia L.and the extra frig dropped off for our long stay was extremely handy.
The gym is better than most hotels and is 24 hours which is useful for early risers like me. The 15th floor club lounge was a bit pricey but worth it with an excellent breakfast set up and better than average evening hors d'oeuvres. Joyce in the lounge was very helpful and professional and I only wish I took the names of all the efficient staff there.
The parking/bell team was great with special thanks to Victor for his bright smile but all were truly outstanding.
The front desk team answered every question about where to go, what to do and when to do it with patience and professionalism (thank you Allan, Ava, Yang Lu, Celia, and all the others whom I should have mentioned by name. I apologize to you.
Lastly, Chris Smart the Asst Front Desk Manager lives up to his name and was a pleasure to deal with.
A great place to stay and the only place to stay in Calgary.

Stayed at this Sheraton on the weekend. Room was spacious and clean. Location was fantastic, close to downtown and pretty quiet at night. While parking wasn't included, outside parking lot was right across from the street and costs $5 per day on the weekends. The pool, slide, and hot tube was awesome and very clean.

I was on the Presidential Sweet/Floor. Huge, Comfy, Great Service and kept Very Clean, as well as the Hotel itself. The Staff are Awesome! TY. Was there for My Son's Wedding.

Our first stop on our ten day visit to canada. Upon arrival, we had a nice gift for our ten year wedding anniversary and received an upgrade to a nicer room. The views from our room were disappointing. Parking was expensive, and the internet connection was impossible. I called the front desk for help and couldn't help me out. Overall, it's not a good stay and won't return.

Literally the best hotel I've stayed in. The staff are impeccable and will go out of their way to help you! The rooms are perfect. I love the bed, pillows and shower! This is our go to hotel in Calgary and I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Calgary or needing a night away. The staff at the restaurant are incredible as well! Zero complaints.

Really quaint hotel! We stayed here for several nights. The room was clean, the beds were soft and comfortable and we had a really lovely view of the downtown area. The pool with the waterslide was extremely fun for the children. However, the pool was not deep - about a metreish high and can get crowded pretty quickly. The jacuzzi was a nice treat, quite spacious!

No free parking, either valet $45 or the parking lot across the hotel for $36.75 daily. There is laundry on the 12th floor, cost $3 to wash or dry, no soap is require because soap is already dispense in the water. Breakfast is for a fee$ at the restaurant located next to the check-in desk.

The only con are the offerings in the room: chips, nuts, water, pop and liquor. They were not free, which is fine but were ridiculously expressive, for example, $5 for 19g of Pringles. The drinks were overtaken in the mini fridge. We were afraid to move those drinks for fear the hotel might charge them to our room. I think the Sheraton should scrap this type of selling. I really don't know what guest in their right mind would pay these ridiculous prices for snacks. I can see they are trying to establish a "luxury" feel, but the majority of guest would probably disagree with those prices. This should be passé. Either reduce the snack prices to something reasonable or eliminate them all together because guests needs space on the counter and fridge to put their own food and drinks.

As out of towners, my brother and sister in law booked a room at this hotel for a place to stay after an event held that evening. They checked in together, brought their bags up together, and proceeded to the event together. Upon their return from the event, they went up to the room together. My sister in law exited the room and the building briefly. She then attempted to return, at which point she was informed that she was no longer able to return to the room as her name was not associated with the room. She was then removed from the building and forced to stay outside, alone and afraid in the middle of the night downtown Calgary. Policies and procedures should be revised to prevent this situation all together. A simple mandatory question at check in about all parties entering the room would be a start. This is unacceptable and disgraceful behavior of a large businesses.

Allen at the front desk was exceptionally committed to helping customers and eager to make their stay enjoyable. I saw this when he was helping guests ahead of me at check-in regarding attractions and another customer that was eager to say hi to him. With me, he sought to find the best room available and worked through uncontrollable technical issues. It's clear the staff here take pride in their job. The cleaning staff do an excellent job, the restaurant food quality is great and conference facilities are well maintained. From many Marriott stays, I can clearly say the staff here are certainly among the best without question.

My family and I had a great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. We have a big family so liked that each room had a pull out couch bed. First time we have slept all 6 of us and each got our own beds. (2 rooms of coarse)

Like staying in this hotel. I did a family trip and chose to stay here at the Sheraton. The amenities (including the Peloton in the gym) are immense. The pool is great for kids, not deep and they have a slide.
The rooms are getting a bit tired, and in need of some renos. The location is great, plenty to see and do from there as it is so centrally located.

Very nice rooms but very expensive. Wasn't sure if we could drink the bottled water or not as there was a price list. Didn't want to pay $4 for a little bottle of water.
I would visit again if it was a little cheaper.

The treatment my spouse received after a night out at a concert is disgraceful. After returning to the hotel together, I fell asleep as she went out for a cigarette. She forgot her room key and so she went and talked to the front desk to ask for a replacement key. They would not give one to her as the room was in my name and not hers, even though they were full aware and said that they saw us come in together. Eventually they said that she could stay in the lobby for the night because there was nothing they could do. That us UNTIL the manager saw her in the lobby and demanded she leave. At 230am as a petite young girl that is completely unacceptable and dangerous. The attitude towards the situation and how it was handled by kicking her out disgusts me. I hope to make you all aware before something like this happens to you or your loved ones.

I stayed at Sheraton suites Calgary Eau Claire for a work trip and also arranged for a private dinner event with their banquet services and I am thoroughly impressed with this hotel. The location, building and rooms are stunning but beyond that the customer service is excellent. Employees are all friendly, professional and polite and go above and beyond to ensure that our stay and event went without a hitch. The food at the restaurant and our catered event was excellent. I received a tonne of compliments on the food and service from the guests who joined our event. My compliments to the chefs and thank to the amazing banquet team!

Rude staff and outdated rooms next to constant construction (day) and outdoor music (night)

A good option for downtown Calgary. Stayed late June 2023. I have stayed at practically all the Bonvoy properties in downtown Calgary now, and this one fits right in with the rest. Friendly front desk and valet staff. Lounge is quite small, but the outdoor patio area makes up for this (May be an issue during winter?) and the breakfast and afternoon snacks are really good. As an Ambassador, I was upgraded to a top floor corner suite. The room was quite average overall and somewhat dated (entire hotel is a bit dated). The bathroom had the smallest shower I have ever seen. I could barely move my arms when I was inside. There was a huge bathtub, but I never used it. Elevators also did not seem to function properly and were really slow at times. Restaurant in the hotel was quite good, but surprisingly empty most evenings. Overall this is a fair choice. Probably wouldn’t stay here again as it’s relatively expensive compared to other properties, but not a bad choice.
