I showed up unexpectedly at Sherwood Hyundai with a flat tire. I had just put on the spare on n -21 and brought the vehicle there to fix it. It was pointed out how buy they were, but if I could leave it they could see what they could do. I received a call by noon that it was fixed. I appreciate how nice Trevor was, his understanding, and that he didn't just send me away because they were busy. You made a bad morning much better. Thank you.

Very poor customer service! You call to talk to an advisor and they never answer, especially Seamus, I have left him many messages to at least return the call and I have had no answer and I am still waiting.

Consistently disappointing service.
The last time I had my car serviced here it was due for a routine oil change. The service department tried to tell me I was due for service #3, a $500 service, despite the fact that according to their own maintenance schedule this wasn't due for about another 6000km. This is pretty consistent with my experience here. I alwqys seem to book a service only to be told I actually need a more expensive service.
I proceeded to wait over 3 hours for an oil change, with people who had arrived after me leaving before me. When I complained I was told my car was being washed and would be ready shorty. After another 30 minutes I complained again, and was given back my vehicle, unwashed. Service department was unwilling to do anything to make up for the poor service in person, but when I called back later I was offered a complimentary oil change.
Knowing I had this complimentary oil change, I brought my vehicle back for service #3 (when it was actually due to recieve this service) and to have my winter tires put on and was given a quote for service. When I arrived to pick my vehicle up my final total was about $250 more than expected. The service department did not tell me this when they called to tell me my car was ready.
Service was closed when I arrived to pick up my vehicle and I had to ask about 5 times to have someone come to the reception desk to explain the discrepancy to me. I was told no one, not a single person in the entire building, could help me figure out where/how this discrepancy in price occured and that I would need to pay in order to get my vehicle. I told the front desk person that I understood this wasnt their fault, but there absolutely had to be someone in the building with the ability to read a Hyundai service invoice and compare it to a service estimate and I would need to speak to that person before I paid. Eventually, someone I assumed was a sales manger looked at my bill and my estimate, acknowledged that the estimate was much lower and called my service provider to ask about it. I was ultimately asked to leave a copy of my licese and CC and someone would call me in the morning to sort it out. The next day I received a text saying my service provider was sick and i would recieve a call the following day. I later received a text from the same number saying my transmission was being looked at now and my vehicle would be ready for pick up soon. I already had my vehicle in my possession and my transmission was not serviced. Further evidence of how poorly organized this service department is.
I eventually recieved a call back from the service department 5 days later. The person I spoke to acknowledged that he had made an error in the service estimate he had me sign by failing to include the tire swap, but said that the final price was correct. Also explained to me that the $76 "misc. " fee on the bill is for shop supplies "like rags and stuff". $76 for rags.
Definitely bring your vehicle here if you want to be shocked by a final price that is much higher than expected, if you have hours to kill waiting for mediocre service, or you love being upsold on expensive services you don't need yet. Whatever you expect to pay when you bring your vehicle in, it will always ultimately be more.

4.5 hours and still waiting. Tire swap, oil change & rock chip repair. Shuttle requested- don’t know what happened there. Came in for rock chip repair last week and was told to make an appointment, now after this they are sending me elsewhere to get that work done.

Shady.

Karam drove me out to buy a vehicle. When I arrived the guy Immediately tried to upsell me on cars i dont want. Then left me stranded there.

Karam Told me the car I came for was sold 2 HOURS Before he came to pick me up.
Either he knew it was sold & just wanted to upsell me or he didnt check to see if it was available still.

He Spent the whole time trying to upsell me on cars I don't want.
Had a Very fake friendly attitude & I was ready for That but I don't appreciate the lieing/un-preparedness.

When he realized he wasn't going to sell me on that day, he got very cold & rude. Told me he was busy all of a sudden & couldn't bring me back home or pay for a cab ($45)

Thing is, I was actually Very interested in buying 1 of the newer venues/Konas too I probably would have the NEXT day. But the way they left me stranded in Sherwood park After Tricking me was SINISTER.

I was happy with the oil and filter change provided as a bonus for a used car purchase. Seamus was easy to talk with. The hour promised turned into about 90 plus minutes but the free car wash was worth it. Thanks guys.

Horrible service. Was lied to when the salesman withheld information regarding massive damage to vehicle. I was very clear about asking for all damage to the vehicle as I was driving 7 hours to buy the vehicle. Salesman pretended he didn’t know about the damage and tried to upsell me to a more expensive vehicle since “i had already driven up”. Do not deal with this Hyundai dealership

Our service advisor Lauren was awesome! She was very friendly and outgoing. She reviewed exactly what would be done for my service on our 2019 Sante Fe.

She gave me a timeline as to when my vehicle would be ready and cost of the service.

After it was done she called me exactly when she said she would. I highly recommend Sherwood Hyundais service dept. Special thanks to Lauren too.

Always accomadating with my schedule when it comes to vehicle servicing. Staff is curtious and personable. Never bought a vehicle from them but also haven't been pressured by any sales people whenever I walk through the lobby.

I've had good experiences at this dealership years ago when I bought my first car from them in 2018, and their service department was great for maintaining my vehicle, however upon trying to do a trade-in it has been a series of nightmares trying to work with this dealership.

An account of my trade-in experience here:

Lots of over-promising and under-delivering, as well as a huge lack of responsiveness. Finance errors were made and I was briefly paying for 2 vehicles, neither of which I actually had possession of, but luckily this was resolved within about 2 weeks; unfortunately that was the least of the problems I've encountered with this dealership since. While waiting for my new vehicle to arrive, I was given a series of 3 loaner vehicles, each less safe to drive than the previous: the second came with check engine light on and failed to start once I got it home, two of them given with no fuel in them (though one at least was given with a gas chit), two of them received with garbage (including used masks) from previous drivers in them, and the last one even had a smashed windshield. Eventually I was given my original trade-in car to drive again while I await the new vehicle; I was told I could pick it up and it would be filled and ready to go - unsurprisingly, I showed up, no one knew I was told I'd be driving my old car again, and it was also given back nearly empty. It has been about 2 months of waiting for the new vehicle, which is quite a bit longer than the arrival time I was initially told to expect. During that time, seasons have changed and I found myself needing to put the winter tires back on the car I had intended to trade in. I had included the winter tires with the trade and left them at the dealership with my car when they had offered me to use their loaner vehicles rather than racking up Kms on the trade-in. Upon calling to see about getting the tires switched out, I'm told they seem to have lost my winter tires, and have not been able to locate them (or follow up with me about them) for the last 4 days, meaning I've had to drive around in the Edmonton snow with summers on because they just can't seem to get it together. As I write this review I've been on hold with the dealership's sales manager for over 2 hours just trying to get any kind of update on the incoming new vehicle or the winter tires.

I expected a much greater level of professionalism from a dealership that I'd previously had good experiences with, but at this point I'm just waiting to be able to wash my hands of dealing with them. If you're looking to spend tens of thousands of dollars at a business, I wouldn't recommend doing it here.

I wish if I could have choice to give them rating in negative, no work ethics, no customer service, super rude and shady people, we went to buy Palisade Calligraphy, we were willing to pay cash for our vehicle but Finance guy Kevin Genest were super rude, he was more focused on watching hockey game, they told us we cannot buy Palisade by paying upfront, we were agreed to do finanace as they do not leave us with any other option, truly I can write a full book on these guys, Brayden Kohlman is super racist guy,

"I am adding to the existing review: We got a call from Sales Manager Brayden Kohlman today. He threatened us to remove this review; otherwise, he would take legal action against us, and he started swearing at us. This is the worst form of service i have ever seen in my whole life, i have been working in the service industry for 10+ years, i would never do that to my customer. We felt insulted by these guys yesterday, and i shared my thoughts with a review. In my perspective, i did not do anything wrong by doing that, i am going to take further action against them as this is not acceptable. "

As a single parent, I feel I chose a good dealership to deal with. They didn’t try to sell me something I couldn’t afford. They listened to what I was looking for and needed, as a team they all pitched in to make it happen. They gave me an honest deal for my trade in. Making a big decision of buying a new car is hard to swallow as a single parent; they were patient and kind. To my financial girl (the only female on sales) was awesome. We took our Tuscon in for a abs recall. Colton was polite and courteous. The suv was ready and washed when they said it would be. This was our first experience at Sherwood park Hyundai and I can say it was a positive one. And they are pet friendly

So there I was, outside chatting it up with one of the nicest down to earth genuine salesperson I've met in a while, and the manger comes out and tells me that the "salesperson" I was just chatting with is actually the owner, you know you're in a "down to earth do what we can for you" type business! BTW, the owner is from the east coast.yep, you're going to get that great friendly service the eastcoasters are known for.
However I didn't get a good deal, I GOT A GREAT DEAL, so much so that when I told a friend of mine what Sherwood Park Hyundai did for me, she's going to bring her truck in to see what deal she can get. Do yourself a solid and check these guys out!

I just purchased my 3rd from this dealership. After my second I wasn’t 100% I’d return as I had a few hiccups last time but decided to give it a chance because I like to support local in Sherwood Park. I am glad I did give them another shot because this time I had a great & honest salesman that was very easy to talk to. If it wasn’t for him I don’t think I would have had purchased as fast as I did. I highly recommend Mike.

The only reason I give a 4 star not a 5 is on my last vehicles I didn’t have the best experience with service department which I have been told it’s all under new management & for this sale I felt finance was more pushy on upgrades then ever before when I purchased with Hyundai. Overall with this vehicle nothing was under delivered.

I had an amazing experience with my wife in this dealership on Sep 22nd 2021. They did their best to fulfil our requirements. Blake and Preet went beyond and above of my expectations. Even after the purchase, I mentioned couple of minor concerns to Blake and he was able to arrange everything in order to fix them. I would recommend this place on your future purchases.

Originally went to see a 2019 Honda model that was on the lot, Zack was very helpful and told me everything I could know about the vehicle. After the test was I wasnt thrilled with the car so Zack showed me some other Hyundai models. I ended up choosing the 2022 Elantra Hybrid. Through the whole process Zack was able to answer all my questions (which was a lot). They let me test drive it a second time just so I was sure I wanted to go through with it, no problems at all. Zack also gave a very thorough overview of the car before I took it home, which was very helpful. Great experience overall. Would give 10/10 if I could.

Zachary Donaldson was the salesperson who helped me decide on my purchase of this vehicle. He was easy to talk to, listened to what kind of
vehicle I was looking for, and quickly showed me two vehicles he thought
would be what I was looking for. He told me what the differences of each vehicle was so I could have a better idea of features I wanted, and, what was available in my price range. I was encouraged to test drive both vehicles and Zachary was helpful in explaining the different features, which I really appreciated. My vehicle, which was an older model Hyundai Santa Fe had some similar features, but it was great to be shown the differences
as I was driving…. A hands-on practice, instead of just reading the manual. When I had decided which vehicle I would buy, Zachary showed me how to pair the Bluetooth to my i-Phone and explained the features that were new to me in more detail.
I felt very comfortable dealing with this gentleman. There was no pressure. He was very thoughtful, offered helpful suggestions, and had lots of patience. When I picked up the vehicle the next day, Zachery went through the “Customer Vehicle Familiarization” check list so I could get even more familiar with the vehicle. He had a good way of explaining various features that I could easily understand. I have been looking for a new vehicle for several months, now, and was not impressed with many of the salesmen in my quest. Zachary was a breath of fresh air. If any of my friends or family ask about my Santa Fe, or think about buying one, I would suggest they visit Sherwood Park Hyundai… and definitely ask for Zach to help them.

If you are purchasing a new car, ask to see the window sticker. Sherwood Park Hyundai tried to add on $1800 freight costs, a $1888 winter package (worth maybe $650), $699 ADMIN FEES (River City Hyundai charges $395) and a bunch of other taxes and fees. And the games they play to try to take as much money as possible from you are such a joke! If they can't produce a window sticker for the vehicle, WALK AWAY. We are so happy we walked away and we purchased a beautiful vehicle at River City at an incredible price (lower than they listed online) with less than $500 in admin fees & taxes.

Flexibility and efficiency with booking. Work done within a reasonable time. Car was nicely cleaned outside. Major negative was that the special quoted at booking was not applied to invoice. The person doing the paperwork appeared to have no knowledge of the special until I insisted it was so and then somehow the correct pricing was found and applied.

I had a warranty issue with an extremely loud circulation fan in my 2020 Hyundai Elantra and took a video as it is an intermittent problem. The service rep saw the video and agreed it was a very loud noise but said if there mechanic couldn’t hear the same noise they would have to charge me the shop time. Then I spoke to the service manager who said a video of the problem isn’t evidence. Odd because video is enough evidence for a crime but not enough to confirm a squealing sound with my fan. He reiterated that I would be charged if the mechanic couldn’t find the problem. I’m no mechanic but I’ve replaced a fan motor before and it’s more than obvious that’s what the problem is. Never had an issue before today with other intermittent problems they couldn’t initially find but now they want to charge the customer for warranty work. Then the service rep still wanted to sell me on an inspection service. Why…. Just to charge me when something else goes wrong under warranty? So basically if your mechanics aren’t good enough to find a problem the customer pays out of pocket for your incompetence.

My dad was looking at new vehicles recently and was interested in Hyundai. I took him to Sherwood Hyundai and I told him how great the service HAD been. Then this garbage service happened. Called my dad immediately after and told him to not go back there and pursue the purchase of a palisade. He was thankful he hadn’t made a purchase yet and will not be in the future.

UPDATE: Received a phone call from Sherwood park Hyundai. Not to help but basically just called to give more excuses to why they have poor service and couldn’t help me. The person who called said he’s worked at several other dealerships that are all the same. I wonder why he’s worked for so many dealerships?

Told there was a seal gone on my tucson $500 and chage to fix. Ask if it was covered under warranty was told no, then when I questioned it I was told yes now warranty will cover It. Told me they would order parts and let me know when they arrive, 3 weeks later I message Chance to find out parts have been sitting there for a week. Called twice hung up on both times trying to book an appointment. Also ask for a loaner car was told don't depend on it. Looks like they don't want my business, this place is a joke

Waste of money and time. Never coming back to service my car here. I paid more than 500 to fix my cars misfiring to change one spark plug and a valve. Had to go back the second time because the misfiring still persist after a few days and they wanted to charge me for another 300$ to cover what they shouldve been fix in the first place. In the end, the service advisor didn't say anything while taking my car and paid for the extra time that they said they've worked on it without resolving anything to fix my car. I suggest not getting your vehicle service here unless you're still under warranty

Stopped by to look into the new veloster. Kris was very knowledgeable. Nice to meet a salesperson who knows info about a car they are trying to sell without having to read it off the window or from the book. I'll be keeping this dealership in mind in the future. I'm always pleased with the level of customer care at this establishment. This review is a couple months late, but I still feel it's important to share. I went in to have some regular maintenance done to my Elantra. First I encountered Glen, who as always was charismatic, knowledgeable and helpful. He checked me in, arranged for the shuttle and went on with his morning. Afterwards, Kendall drove me to work only 10 minutes after being placed on the shuttle schedule. The ride was short but delightful, I could tell that she was pleased to be working with the company, and was a nice person to meet. A young lady named Hailey (*Hailee) picked me up and brought me back to the dealership at the end of the day. This girl was full of spirit and was friendly, she really made my day!
It's so wonderful seeing such a positive collective attitude within a workplace!
Oh, and the work done to my car was great too - side note.:)

Prior to Peter taking over the Service Department, we spent 6 years dreading each and every encounter Sherwood Park Hyundai.that's all changed.

The last year since Peter arrived has been phenomenal! Peter takes a different approach; his customer service, dedication, communication, and honesty are so refreshing (if you've ever dealt with a dealership service centre, you'll get what I'm saying). I always see Peter out on the floor with his reps and techs, GETTING THE JOB DONE! Peter has made up for years of frustration in a few months.

Today I'm pleased to say that under Peter's leadership, I look forward to getting work done at Sherwood Park Hyundai. The service is now exceptional and the customer interaction is enjoyable (the services and parts are really well priced too).

This review was once a 1 star.now it's a 5! Great Job Peter!

Today was my first time at this dealership and I was less then pleased with how it turned out. I brought my car in for a check engine light and electrical problems. They were not able to complete all the necessary testing for the check engine light and did not look at the electrical issues at all. It took them 2 hours to do nothing, find out no answers and they still charged me for the service. I left with a car that still doesn’t function properly but I guess at least it was clean and washed up. That was one very expensive car wash. The only up side to this was the Service writer I dealt with, I believe her name was Jan. Jan was very pleasant, friendly and and the only saving grace for this dealership during my visit this morning.

I came to this dealership after having a negative experience in another location.but the services provided to me was super proffesional.kendra McChensy was able to help me out finding the right vihechle at the an extremely affordable price.from my experince most of the dealerships they try to screw me out, but sherwood park hyundai staff made me change my mind with their service specially kendra an extremely knowledgebale proffesional freindly and most importantly an honest sales person.and a special thanks to the finance lady.

Good service, they were upfront about everything and called before doing anything. Shuttle service was pretty good too. All in all no complaints. They made me realize that I think my previous independent service provider was screwing me around a bit.

I went in for an intermittent grinding sound on acceleration. Right away they decided it was my brakes. I explained that it did not happen on braking but only on acceleration.
Two days later they called for me to pick up my car still insisting it was my brakes. As the car is 4 years old I grudgingly accepted this. A family member who happens to teach auto mechanics proceeded to look at changing my brakes. Needless to say all brakes are perfectly good.
My hubby called and spoke to the shop manager who was very apologetic.
To date the grinding has not happened again but when it does I will certainly be hesitant to return to this shop.

I am only giving 2 stars because the shop manager was wanting to make things right, otherwise there would be 0 stars.

Jan was very thorough & quick checking me in & out. I appreciated her keeping me updated on the work that needed to be done, above the scheduled oil change. She made the entire appointment really pleasant.

As far as the work that was done, it was fast and I feel confident that the technicians do a thorough inspection. Especially since they found the leak from in the air conditioning system and fixed it immediately. Not having to bring my car back for a separate appointment was fantastic. Great job!

Great dealership, Shelley was amazing to deal with, and Brian did a great job getting the financing I wanted, I would recommend this dealership to everyone looking for a vehicle.

Edit, had to change my review, I was told my car would be delivered to my house on Tuesday at 3pm. I received no calls about them leaving around 1, because I live 2 hours away. So i call and ask about the whereabouts of my new vehicle, they tell me to wait 5 minutes and they'll call back. I waited 45 minutes, and I called back with no avail, so I get told I'll get a call back right away. It look another hour and a half to get a call back. They told me it would be delivered in the morning, which didn't work for us because we wouldn't be around, and planned on taking the new car on a trip to Sask for a meeting. So I go told they had to put a pro package on it, and its suppose to cure or something, but after saying I was disappointed all of a sudden they could drive the vehicle out to me? But wouldn't get a flat deck truck to deliver it, I'm currently waiting on said new vehicle, well see if this "pro pack" was cured, or installed, or whatever the reason was for not calling ahead of time.

Had a great experience purchasing my 2018 santa fe limited. Chance was down to earth, detailed and funny! My SUV wasnt ready that say so I was provided with a loaner SUV for a week until I could get back to town. That was totally unexpected and very appreciated! I was introduced to the whole service team who were all super nice and Nora in finance was a blast. Thank you to all involved. I purchased a santa fe there 10 years ago and when I wanted to purchase another one I knew right where to go.

Avoid this place and never buy a Hyundai and wish me luck for the next 7 years. Dealing with an engine failure of my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. My car was just three months old when this failure happen to my engine (even under 5000 Km)! Worst customer service.but the mechanic was honest and decent man. Hyundai Canada did not even responded to me and took any responsibility of their bad product. Did not have a loaner for 5 weeks.they put me through hell!

I had previously stopped bringing my car to this dealership because of poor service in the past. However, this time I needed to have my tires rotated it my wife had lost the locking nut. Glen was extremely professional and courteous. He explained everything and made sure the car was done when promised as I was leaving town the next day. As long as glen is there, I will be coming back.

Hap hazard service at best. In the past i was quoted half of the bill i received to replace a window ($340 quoted and around $680 when i got the bill). Even today i asked them not to rotate my tires (very specific to the reason why) and they did it anyways.

They up-sell every possible thing they can while your vehicle is there for oil changes and i will not be returning to this specific dealership for service now that my free oil change package has run out.

Edit: I really love the quotations and sarcasm in the dealerships review response. I pay the bills in my house thus i am allowed to complain about shoddy service i paid for. Regardless if its directly my car or not.

I personally think all dealerships over charge for the service maintenance packages. Also the extra cost for shop supplies should be included in the total price. I hate nothing more then to be told my maintence package is $300 and then when I get the final bill there is additional costs every time.
